We didn't camp here, but did make a visit after camping further down the road.
I wanted to add to those looking for a quick and dirty overnight sleeping spot that if you approach this location from the North, you will find numerous pull-outs starting at about two miles up this roughish dirt/gravel road. No need to drive six miles off the highway. Also, I would not drive up here in a large rig of any kind as it gets quite narrow and steep.

Love this RV park and it’s close proximity to everything in town. Sad to see it so empty compared to this time last year. This place has everything you need, showers, laundry, electricity, and WIFI. Paid 250 MX for a site with electricity.

Peaceful, quiet. There really is nothing out here. Spotty att signal, no t-mobile or sprint.

Passamos duas noites muito tranquilas, conseguimos água, tem uma torneira junto à caixa de luz, ao lado da igrejinha. Lugar perfeito para estacionar e passar a noite.

Stopped for water on 03/04/2021, spigot has been removed, we asked inside and was told that the county instructed them to close off the fresh water supply because the water contains a high nitrate level! There is only a free dump.

Stayed the night. Nice and quiet. Very spotty signal for U.S. Cellular. Parked behind the tree line as previous traveler recommended.

This is the edge of a very large area of BLM. Tons of places and very little garbage. The LTE signal is very good. Can be windy. No shade.

We stopped by, all the windows are broken, there is glass and garbage everywhere... It's so sad to see this comfy place destroyed :(
It could still be useful if you there in a big storm and really need a roof, but a lot of cleaning to do...

Sorry, my mistake, I was talking of the "Refugio 2"...
Here the table/bench is gone, the windows are destroyed but it was cleaned when we stopped by. Still better than nothing if there is a lot of wind or rain...

It's open again! We were the first ones in today. Because of the covid there are some restrictions... you can only stay one hour because it's limited to 12 persons/hour, you have to book on their website, the price is reduce to 8000 pp. Very friendly staff. They prefer if you pay by card.
It's amazing to see this colony! Even if it was just one hour, we had a great time. There are 30 chicks right now! Magical... If you like animals and especially penguins, you won't regret it!

Beautiful place in the utah desert. A few nice pull offs on a fairly nice dirt road. beware of cows in the road :) Accessable by almost any vehicle. Private Property signs and a fence on the right side of the road for a bit, but most of the road seems friendly to campers. 3 bars LTE of whatever service I have.

Indeed a very big and specialy built place with lots of little details.Water is from a borehole (there are no springs in this area). Lights from Solar at the bar and indoor toilet/shower. We saw 4 Kudus, 3 Springbocks and lots of birds. Sign says 4x4 needed as the road is very rocky. N$ 200 ppn, fire wood N$ 30 a bundle. As Hannes does not live here permanently it is good to call ahead so the place can be prepared (+264811283234) 🤩 No mobile reception.

Large, flat, wind protection, not visible from the road if you hide under the bridge (doesn't looks like it's in good shape), very bad smell because all of the crap and garbage around. Looks like people use it as a toilet. No mobile signal. Accessible for all kinds of vehicles.

Great spot for those with high clearance and 4wd. I did it in 2wd, and good tires. The fall’s themselves are amazing. Excellent photo op for your rig. Lots of side by side rigs and motorcycles use these trails. There’s about half dozen spots to pick from. All informal. Great swimming spot during the summer. Took about an hour to drive in.

Wonderful and nice place. It is like visiting a friends garden with access to the water. You can rent bikes, Kanus and SUP.
There is a common kitchen, shower, toilet,.. all like shown on the pictures.
The owner is very friendly.
The place is OPEN (on google maps it is closed but it’s open) so there are not so many visitors.

Great family run ranch in a very remote location. BMW F800 accessed it pretty easily from Mex 3. Was intent on going through Coyote when I left but Mike advised me to go back out the way I came in as I was traveling solo and it gets pretty hairy.

We had to call Lise so we could get into the green gate. We had to call twice and she explained that she sometimes doesn’t hear the phone when she is in the city, so don‘t give up when she does not pick up right away!
Rolf and Lise have a beautiful property with two leveled spots where you can park or put up your tent. One is very hidden in the woods and the one we chose next to their driveway had a beautiful view. Cabinas are also available. The pool is usually heated but due to Cov-19 they have to save money so its cool now but clean. Hot showers and clean bathroom you can use. The view over the mountains is very beautiful! Many birds during the day and fireflies and lots of stars during the night. It got VERY cold at night so make sure you have something warm to wear. The driveway is very deep so be aware of that. We were only driving through to get back to San José and needed a place to stay for the night otherwise we would have spend more days there! Added some pictures aswell.

As advertised. Perfect, quiet spot with nothing but waves to be the bother. Could’ve parked at any of the lots between ocean view and the main strip and been okay (before May).

Park that features a long path by the ocean (including underneath a long bridge), a hose connected to potable water perfect for filling up at, picnic tables and benches, and a parking lot with ocean views. Pet friendly park and sometimes dolphins can be seen (especially at sunset). Park is closed from 11pm-5am so I wouldn't recommend parking here overnight.
