The view of the ocean and the peninsula is really nice, but we decided not to stay because of the heat and all the trash. The ocean was also brownish so not great for swimming.

Absolutely lovely place along the river! There is lots of space to camp or for your rig, just choose a spot that suits you. We had a very nice relaxing day playing in the water that isn’t cold at all.

There were several quad tours that passed by during the day. Also several cars and quads were on the road during the day. We also had two cars that randomly stayed in this area for several hours, without any problems. In the night everything was quiet but the jungle sounds 🌱

Would surely recommend! Only beware of the streetlight close to the road, depending on how much light you want you can decide to go a bit inside the trees.

We found the spot (its still for sale), but due to the wind - there was aloooot of wind, we decided to camp at las Colinas, just a little bit down the road. The view was okay at this place but it’s much better at las Colinas.

Free dump with water to flush. I wouldn't drink it due to proximity to dump. Water faucets at gas islands are off. Propane $3.69/gal of over 10gals. Hot food inside- jalapeño mozzerella sticks were tasty.

Probably one of the cheapest place to do laundry in town. New owner since 2 months ago Reid and his wife are lovely to deal with, all machines are quite recent and very well maintenance by Reid, my go to place in Nanaimo.
P.s. Many machines, many size but can be busy. The drying machine are very very hot when set at high be careful.

Great spot for a quick overnight boondock to split our drive up. rolled in at 12:30am not a single vehicle in site. We parked and we're up and out of there by 7am. Saw an officer in his patrol car parked there in the morning when we woke up but he never bothered us.

All National Forest recreation roads were marked as closed when driving through. Not sure if it is seasonal for Winter or cause of Covid.

Great spot with great views. The road was pretty rutted out at spots, but my stock Astro van made it up no problem in the dark. Some highway noise in the far, far distance, but overall a great place to spend the night.

The Campground ist closed! Nobody knows when it will open again and it's completly run down! Needs big renovation! A pity for this unique and nice location although always very windy!

Nice municipal caravan park. Some spots have grass but most dont. Braai places at each site but no grids. Old but clean ablutions with communal scullery as well as a laundromat at AB3. Laundry is R40 per load. Out of season rate R330 per stand. Sites have power and are sheltered from the wind by dunes. Walkway leads to the beach.

There is a dump but no fresh water, the spigot of gone.

Pet friendly camping next to the sea and central enough to visit all the coastal towns. Water, electricity and braai at each site.

This is a well lit but very uneven parking lot, we found a decent spot in the front though. You will hear all the traffic from the main road and probably some drunks fighting, we had quite a show. 🤣
Bonus: they let us fill our water for free!

Is a family business managed by Francisco and Juan Carlos brothers. $10000 per night, power and very helpful people interested in a good service to tourists. Allowed me to use their washing machine to do my laundry. Help me to empty dirty water tanks.

$40000 motorhome wash with “gasfitado” to prevent damage of sand and salt (I did it before going to Mayapo beach)

They have dogs, cats, roster (who like to came inside the motorhome), hens, ducks, gooses, rabbits, parrot... and I also saw free monkeys!!!

The location is very convenient 10 min walk to the beach an 5 min to malecon.

Juan Carlos and Francisco were very helpful, I arrived with a damage in the solar panel support (thanks to a tree) and with Luis and his workers they dismantled and fixed welding, straightening and installing again as new. $60000
I also wanted to change the side of water discharge and Juan Carlos came with me to the market in downtown to buy materials and Luis installed properly $30000.
They helped me to weld a lock for the batteries and paint them $80000

Found a nice spot for my 36 foot travel trailer here. The road in is heavily rutted with many dips. 4X4 and high clearance rig recommended for this area. You have to go slow to avoid bottoming out. 14 day stay limit, and a nice view of the Lost Dutchmen mountain. OHV vehicles and Jeep’s frequently use the main road in.
