Paid 480K for a double room but had 3 people in it (we put up a stretcher for our 3rd member) for no extra cost.

Includes breakfast served from 6am perfect for starting a big driving day.

Absolutely beautiful campground down a very bumpy 4 mile road. I made it in my 2 WD Ford E250, but had to take it super slow. No one else was here when I visited.

Very friendly farm campground. The first thing that happened when we arrived is that we were offered coffee. Large lawn surrounded by trees. Nice cycling trip through the forest to the small but beautiful Hanse town Elburg.

Stopped here for the night. Big parking lot with a vault toilet right off the road. I'm sure there are better spots further down the forest road but this worked just fine.

We recommend this place to you. Very well done job. On top of that, the mechanics are very friendly. Possibility of mechanics, electricity and welding. Thank you team! Perfect!

Nice and safe camping spot for one night after a long day of police/military stops and potholes on N1. We stayed right beside the boma and fire, very atmospheric. Must be among the best parking lot campsites! Paid 500 mets. Chalets/tents clean but overpriced at 5000 meticals 2ppn.

Total gas station, pretty new with clean ablutions. There’s also Petromoc and one indie in town. The gas station pinned into Muxungue wasn’t operational so this was the first town for us to fill up in a very long time coming from the south.

Very nice rustic campsite, everything as described before (hot water, complimentary firewood etc). CALL TO BOOK, so there will be someone to clean and lit the donkey (I updated the number to the info: it’s +258 87 573 8836). We struggled to find the place according to the coordinates here: if you drive across the steel bridge, turn around and turn left. There are no signs currently. I’ll attach gps coordinates from Maps.me.

Lots of military checkpoints on N1 currently, we counted 15 between Vilanculos and Buffalo Camp and 10-13 between Buffalo Camp and Inchope. Be kind and smile. We only gave cold drinks when the officers were too needy and we needed to hurry through. Everyone was still friendly.

Dispersed camping with Juniper trees for shade and big views of the plains and Black Pines mountains. GPS is at entrance of area - take the dirt road toward the trees.

A few fire pits/established campsites scattered around. Silty road is ok for any vehicle *when dry*.

Amenities include shade and stars. No bathrooms, water, etc. Pack out all trash.

Variable cell service on Verizon - sometimes 4G and downloading podcasts, other times nothing.

Pit toilets are clean. Not really cell service at the campground, but I could get data at the edge of the viewpoint/picnic area.

Diesel mechanic with lots of experience in a quiet neighborhood. Has Mercedes Star diagnosis tool which is rare in North America. Can sleep there, has water. Javier is a great guy with all the skills you need!

Ismael and his family are extremely kind and happy people. Their eco lodge is serene and very natural. Plenty of wildlife including friendly ducks, lizards, dogs, small fish, and hummingbirds. Minimal mosquitoes, yet a few gnats. We stayed in our van for 100 pesos a night. The family offers meals, a jungle walk to a small ruin/swimming pools, and coordinates a shuttle to the sites. The only way to access the jungle - other than the nearby attractions - is with a native. So, we went on the jungle walk for 200pp and saw a monkey. His daughter also makes beaded bracelets, anklets, earrings, necklaces, and taught us some Mayan. Muy bien! Gorgeous views, decent neighborhood. Parking lot area is closed between 11:30pm-4am but street parking doesn’t seem to be an issue. Bathrooms are open

Ancient paintings on the rocks. Not perfect visible, but epic.

Awesome place to park. Only stayed one night but super quiet. Amazing sunset view with a walk on the beach in the morning! 5 stars for sure!

Seems like a nice campground. Hiking trails, nice woods. Dump and freshwater tap.

Gas station where they were happy to let me overnight when the dark caught up with me. Quiet and very dark at night (power was down after a tree brought down cables nearby) between 9pm and 5am, when the generator was turned back on. Clean toilets and a lovely cold shower, which overnighting truckers were making heavy use of in the evening. Electrical sockets available.

Really peacefull place, view on Le Mont Blanc and Annecy lake.

Sporadically there are signs that say no overnight parking violators will be towed, but I parked off the road here with no issues. Nothing special. Just quiet. Good if you need a last 2nd spot.

Great little parking lot local park with access to Lake Erie shore. Porta Pottie and dumpster available. No beach camping!

Walking distance of wonderful BBQ and fisheries that sell fresh smoked white fish!

US Army Corps ranger literally just drove up at 8pm and put a sign in the ground to designate no parking. she stated this is at all the pull offs.

This is a great place to stay for a few days... I camped right next to the lake and it was only $5... (dry camp)

Large pull off on the side of a small road, flat enough for a tent and large enough for a few RVs. Looks like others have built campfires here. Decent little view of the ocean. Residential road but overall quiet and peaceful. 3 bars from Verizon.

Pull off on the side of the highway there is an area with garbages, a picnic table and beautiful views. Even though it’s right next to the road, I didn’t find it noisy. No “no overnight” signs
