Ricardo and his wife Olga run the place for 25 years for the ICE. They are very friendly and helpful and keep everything in shape.

Prices have slightly changed:
2000 colones per person for day use
3000 colones per person for camping

Camping pays from 5 pm to 9 am. If you stay outside these times you have to pay for day use.
Anyway, Ricardo just charged us camping although we arrived at 2 pm. But we had to leave until 9 am.

Use of the decent sized pool and the clean facilities is included!
During the week, we were the only guests but we were told it gets crowded during weekends.

Good and cheap food. Drinks too.
But the best is the view from the cliff side restaurant.

Nice, quiet, peacefull spot. Thank you guys. Very close to the pebble beach. From the D400 mainroad, easy access for all rigs. We cleared the area a bit from garbage and the containers on site came in pretty handy. On the beach on the left near the Turkish flag you will find warm showers in the white little cabins with blue text. On your left where fishermen launch their boats a small concrete building with footstep toilets and water. We stayed 2 nights.

Three campsites, each one with its own (large) abblution block. Hot water after the stove is lit (which is done 1-2 a day on demand). Excellent restaurant, best food in Namibia we've had and very friendly owners. Pool is a big plus. Don't forget to wonder around the farm, there lots to see (such as the enormous lithops collection), a nice walking trail (3km) and a water hole where springbok and oryx pass by

We stayed one night; quite a nice spot and very quiet. Verizon signal was good (3/4 bars LTE).

Many no camping signs between turn off and trail head. No “no overnight parking” though. Didn’t stay as we have a tent and didn’t think it was worth the risk

Potentially unsafe. The neighbouring campers are semi-permanent residents with tent shelters built beside them. Had a guy knocking on the door at 3:30am - I answered after repeated knocks and he was a bit startled/on drugs talking about people sometimes parking their nice motorhomes here then asking if I have bear spray or a knife and if I could give it to him. I told him I couldn't help and locked the door and tried to sleep. Also very noisy trains.

Covid times. Road not as clear as described because less traveled now, branches growing but it's fine. Easy to find, Google maps will bring you there and major forks in the road have a sign pointing you there. Google deviates a bit in this sense but it all connects. Got there in the dark, rainy day, nice man still welcomed me. $5 park entrance, $7 vehicle ( VW Vanagon Syncro). $10 for sand board, $15 snowboard (advice: you can't turn on snowboard, and you can't steer or correct your trajectory either!)
I camped at the gate to be close to showers but you can go in and camp at the base of the hiking trail if you want to. If I were there a second night, that would have been great for star gazing.
Hiked by myself, nobody was there all morning, went to see the crater at the back, a group arrived when I hiked the base around after my ride. I went down the face a bit to the right that has no tracks, in hopes to carve it, but no...
If you have 4WD you can drive by the base like they do to pick people from the bottom of their rides. I went all the way through the eucalyptus trees and around back to the entrance gate. Pretty drive that gets narrow, I wouldn't recommend with a big rig at all. Very photogenic at the base. Great time, took a shower on my way back, and filled up water in my van. It's extremely slow bc it fills by gravity, so be ready to stare at the fill up for a while. Gave the guy a nice tip for being so kind.

These coordinates are off. Kwik Mart is on a main street near town. There is a huge parking lot in back for additional parking, great for one night and the mart is like a grocery store. Very safe and quiet. We almost parked at the waterfront park but saw a police presence in town so we changed our location. In the morning, we did see vans from previous evening still parked there. This is a beautiful town and the waterfront trail is exquisite! I love Two Harbors. Make some time to walk the trail. Also, a local brewery in town and a well-stocked liquor store with unique spirits.

Great place with plenty of spots, many with great views of the mountains. This one is tucked back in some trees, elevated slightly off the road for a little more privacy and wind protection.

Nice spot just off of the Interstate next to a river. Very quite considering it’s location. The train tends not to blow its horn much but it might wake you if you’re light sleeper. Evidently there’s a great restaurant nearby but we left before it opened.

Parked overnight at what appears to be an R/C airplane airport, or something like that. there were no "No Overnight Parking" signs posted. Very quiet and dark. Great views of the hydroelectric plant. Left the spot around 7am, and someone was driving up. This spot is near the State park, so in the summer months, there would likely be more people around.

Great little campsite, beautiful surroundings and river. 15 sites. Not very big spots, some river sites (7 is best), others very close to the river. With our RV (21ft) we could fit in most, but not all. Not very big rig friendly. Pit toilets. $15 /$7.50 (seniors), but free today (off season? no camp attendant)

You might get away with it, but it is illegal. The park service has had to put a sign up in some places along this road stating that camping along the road or in pull outs is against the law. I wish peeps would stop sharing spots that are not real camping spots and are illegal. Sigh. I did not camp here.
