Still a good spot for dumping and potable water. Campground has signs saying it closes Oct 10, 2021. I would suspect the water will be turned off for the season then.

great place to stay. There was maybe one more vehicle here. 4 bathroom pit houses, very very clean which was great. In the morning very few people were coming to the park. Everyone was more going to the parking lot that was further north of here by the lighthouse.

Easy dirt roads to get back here, not even 1 single pothole the whole 5 miles of dirt road. Evidence of people camping/having a fire here. There are no signs whatsoever, so should be good to camp. Lots of mosquitoes so be ready. Super quiet spot in the woods with very spotty 1 bar of Verizon service.

Parked here for 1 night in a Campervan, no signs indicating no overnight parking. Streets were fairly busy but no one bothered us. The only signs said I think no parking Thursday 9-12 for street cleaning. Garbage trucks were pretty loud pretty early around 7-8am, but if you don’t mind that then definitely a good spot. Residential so just keep low volume.

Great place! Clean showers, fun pool, and they let us in for free. Not sure how long it's free, but there it is.

Probably the handiest free spot near telegraph cove. Very overgrown so prepare to get a couple scratches on the side of your van.
I would take a trailer or RV as you’ll struggle to turn around.

Very nice campground. No hookups. I didn’t need a reservation, but it did help that I called before driving in, bc they could tell me which spots were still available. That wasn’t really easy to tell when I got there. They ask to be paid in cash in advance. $10/night. There is a shower & if your timing is good & you’re quick, it’s hot. They have a very small hot water tank. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice place with private wildlife. There are new owners since June wich invested a lot in maintenance, everything is in a very good condition. They have a waterhole on which you can see the wildlife. A the moment there is only one campsite but they are planning to build more. The abolutionbis very good and the place beautiful. Silence at night and you can watch the stars. We payed 170 Nppn. Recommendation.

Tons of great dispersed spots. Got here at about 7pm just before it got dark, most spots were filled but we were able to snag a pretty private one. Spots for anything from tents to bigger RV’s although I would recommend a 4x4.

Easily accessible. Locals seem to live in the dirt parking lot for larger vehicles. Had no issue with anyone at the rest stop. Pit toilets, a map, and a place to rest your head for the night is all this place offers.

As the map says, this is Choinumni Park, not Kitching Flats. It’s part of a string of county parks running up the river.

Camping in the campground portion is $25 / night, which is overpriced. But the senior rate is $9 and is suppose that was appropriate.

Bathrooms have running water, at least half of the sinks & toilets did. Whole park is tired and worn and trash-strewn, as is the riverbed.

Looks like it gets a lot if use on weekends, but was very quiet on the Thursday night I was there.

This was a nice large parkinglot. So we could get toward the back and be away from everyone. We didn't see any no overnight parking signs. The store closes at 11. We woke up to having several more RVs and trailers around us.

Great place to stay. You park in a large parking lot. There was a lot of activity with people through the day, but no problems. It was very quiet throughout the night and had no one bother me. The view of the boats in the marina and walking the pier were wonderful. Clean bathrooms. The posted signs in the lot do say $3.00 hrly parking from 9am - 9pm and the lot closes at 11pm. I think another sign said, these parking rules are over starting Oct 1. I didn’t see anyone check on that, but to be on the safe side, i left and went into town then came back after 9pm. I saw approx 12 vehicles through the night and looked like they were also resting till morning.

Olive Trail: First you walk up to the rim and have a nice view. For the next 5 km you will follow the river, expect to get wet shoes and slippery stones after rain.
The difficulty is about small stones up to stones at in the size of a car on your way down. The most difficult part has chains (picture). Calculate min 4 hours!

Port-a-John here. Stayed the night w no issues. Really peaceful here. Service was great too - we worked through the day. Did have the cops come bc ppl were weirded out about a big white van. But they were cool and said were allowed to stay (it’s a public park). Not sure if overnight is TECHNICALLY allowed but no signs saying it’s not allowed.

Don’t try this with an RV - even a small class C or anything that you need to level out. The first spot is super uneven and the second spot is very, very bumpy. It was a rough go to try to get into this spot.

Exactly as described. There is a large pile of rocks on one side and we pulled in parallel to the road, which gave us some privacy to sit out facing the lake. No more than 2-3 cars drive by an hour.. plus so close to the hot springs!
