Electric hookup, dump station, single garden hose in inconvenient location for everyone’s use. Single bathroom/shower in the gift shop. Open unmarked sites. Basically open space with electric posts. Very nice staff and store though. Ok for 1 night but I’d pass it by next time. |

Public parking lot, free, on 3rd Street between Oak and Church. Walking distance to main business district. Well lit; bring black out curtains. There are no signs that prohibit sleeping in vehicles. There are no signs that limit hours. There are no signs that limit types of vehicles. Diagonal parking spaces are large. My 25' Sprinter fit in a space without needing to back in (but I did). It's a public parking lot, no amenities. There are trash recepticals on sidewalks. |

As described, it is a casino, they have allocated a car park exclusively for RV' ers.
Incidentally, they also provide a $10 card to spend at the casino. Fresh water is available and they have lovely bathrooms within the casino. Four miles up the road, going north on the 101 |

Very nice spot at a cove and beach which you will have all to yourself most likely. Follow Google maps satellite or OSM to get here. Last descend is 4wd only and only for experienced drivers. It is very steep and uneven but our Land Cruiser managed well. Once you get down it is not that easy to find a level spot but with some rocks or a shovel you will manage. Short steep descend by foot to the beach from here. A guy on a boat came by to sell beer and ice cream. Little to no internet reception with Turkcell. |

Not too interesting, but a nice place to visit when you’re around. You can walk along an underground tunnel through the foundations. The place is free to visit and nobody bothered me.

Spot to see the wild horses of the Namib desert. There is a waterhole for the horses. The is a small cabin with a flushing toilet and a sink with water, in good condition. Just 1.7km from the main road, the road is in sand. There is no fee to get there. |

Just past a turning to a timber merchant. You can see the turn off and gate with flags. we spotted a plank over the ditch. we wheeled out bikes over and discovered a flat area with a couple of benches. as it's higher from the road we were reasonably well hidden, tho the security guards from the merchants waved .you could take the driveway to the timber merchants and the area would be on your left .We had stunning views, red macaws flew over, so many birds. in the morning the sun rose and we had breakfast with an awesome view. our wifi works now and again. we stocked up with water at a store about 4 k back, we're heading east towards Triangle. the road is really dry. We had 15 miles dirt, 10 miles concrete and 23 miles dirt so far. |

Very beautiful, quiet and peaceful campground. There’s a group of elks at the entrance when we arrived, and there’s one nibbling grass in front of our campsite after we returned from checking out the river. Clean bathroom with soap and hot water. |

Very nice. Road in is good except the last 5km. They were working on it, so it will likely be fixed soon until the next rains. Took a little more than 3 hours from the T2. Friendly staff. Shoebill tour recommended even if you don’t see the bird. |

We managed to cross from Iraq to Turkey with our German car, but it wasn’t easy. We were already here yesterday and after a long discussion were refused to cross here and should go to Ibrahim Khalil. But the manager also said that there we could get a special permission to cross here. So we drove to Ibrahim Khalil and asked around to get the permission and ended at the Customs Director, who made a call to the border to let us through. Then we drove back here to Serzeri border, but slept on the way because it was already too late. In the morning we arrived and they immediately knew about us and processed our car. The first steps are for the customs to search your car and then another step to search your car, but also from below. The you park in a long line and walk to the immigration windows. We were standing in line when the manager from the day before saw us and got us in his office. He took our passports and the Carnet and got them processed and stamped, so I don’t know what you have to do. The last part was paying the exit tax which here is only 37.000 IQD and not 43.000 like in Ibrahim Khalil. Afterwards we could drive over to the Turkish side. There it was a very pleasant process. Park your car in line and go to the middle booth for immigration. The go to the first booth for the car. After struggling a bit with our German registration, he needed an insurance number, but luckily our German green card insurance does include Turkey. There’s no way to purchase it at the border as far as I saw. Then he checked our Chassis number and his colleague from the X-ray wanted us to unpack everything. The customs officer was the only one to speak English so I told him how much stuff we have and that no everything is packed. Then it was okay with just a visual inspection and we could enter Turkey. All in all it took 2 hours and most of the time went for the Iraq customs as that’s the only problem for crossing the border. Everything else can handle foreigners without problems. The drive after the border towards Van is really stunning and was worth the extra effort to cross here. |

What a nice family and beautiful place to stay! $60.000 per night camping and we paid an additional $10.000 for electricity. It is Sofia’s parents home. +57 (317) 636-9517 is Luz Marina’s number. She does not speak English but Sofia does. So you can WhatsApp in either language and they will get back to you.
