Excellent roadside station about 40 mins from Sapporo. Super quiet, a hotel, onsen and campground on site and the usual clean toilets. Could not find water though. Lots of room for vehicles, small and large and they were probably 25+ camping overnight when we stayed.

This place should be renamed to „Hotel Comtucar“. You can stay on the grass either in front of the main building beside the small pool (noisy because of the road) or behind the main building (quiet). We paid 50s per night for 3 persons in a campervan. No size restrictions at the main gate, any size rig can enter. To move to the backyard it may be too narrow for large rigs because of tree branches, we are 2.2m wide and could get through. Nice and clean bathrooms.

FYI there is no potable water at the day use area and no access to the campground for day users.

Didn’t camp but stopped to fill our water. Very friendly host, busy campground but didn’t seem like a rowdy crowd. Would probably be a great spot on a weekday.

Tried to stay here, gate was closed and nobody around. Sent a whatsapp to Lili, unfortunately she replied only 2 hours later. So we moved to the hotel Comtucar (iO pin is called „grassy backyards).

So if you want to stay at Lili‘s place, you need to contact her well in advance.

There are several signs here now that say now overnight parking. And the visitor center has only non-potable water. But there is a dump station.

Très belle place pour une repos. Nous avons resté la nuit même s'il y a pancartes " pas de motorisé". Mais on pourrait dire que c'est pour ne pas stationner sur la pelouse et non dans
le stationnement! Nous étions 3 "campeurs".

This spot overlooks the water. It is a small dirt road parallel to the hwy. There is a small dirt pull off which accommodates a small RV which is quiet and away from the roadway. Great spot to spend a night and have a relaxing evening.

We arrived at 4pm on a Friday and were able to get a site. The only available spot was a tent site, way in the back corner. As we are a truck camper it was perfect. No power and potable water was a hand pump a short distance away. Looks as though everyone keeps their rigs here for the summer and there didn't appear to be any open spaces.
There is a county boat launch right next to this place and there weren't any No Camping signs posted, your call.
Our tent spot was $10 for the night. Pit toilets on site. (Clean) Cell service not really strong but okay.

$7 with card to unlock dump. Water spigot low to the ground right by dump hole. Not ideal from a sanitary standpoint. Site is under surveillance. Not sure how they feel about taking just water for free.

Signs that say no camping. These are always confusing if it’s referring to tent or vehicle. Use your judgement.

there were at least five vehicles here last night, including us in the pull out below. the lookout. There was a big rig parked up in the loop drive. We arrived at 1:00 a.m. while it was still light out!

As of 14 June 2024, there was gas available to foreign bikes at international prices (8.90bols/litre). Other stations in Sucre refused to serve me, and I was happy to pay the foreigner price.

Wow. We were really excited to stay here. It’s so beautiful! No one was here when we arrived this afternoon. However, around 6:30pm a guy drove up and walked up to our door and started berating us that we were parked in his spot…claiming his tent was in the woods. He appeared drunk. The entire parking area was open - it was just us. Super uncomfortable. We just decided to leave. Wasn’t worth escalating the situation. So bummed this guys ruined the spot for us.
