Old Drift was the first colonial settlement in Livingstone dating from the 1890s.

It is now abandoned and sits within the game park section of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. Plant life is reclaiming the abandoned buildings

This pavilion has a walk-up cast iron farm hydrant with great flow and clear water. The nearest parking space is ~25 meters away on the far side of the pavilion. A sandy beach is only 100 meters from the pavilion.

Call park headquarters at 301.872.5688 to check hours and park entry fee. Current hours are 0700-sunset and $5 for non-residents.

Great spot!
Enormous parking lot across from a huge field & playground.
Any size rig would fit here.
NO SIGNS anywhere that stated no overnight parking so I stayed for one night.
Didn’t see any bathrooms near by but I didn’t explore the entire park. No hook ups either from what I can tell so it’s best for self sufficient rigs.
It was peaceful and quiet.
Pet friendly as well.

We came for a night and have ended up here for a 3rd night. Nothing fancy, but we have everything we need. Full hookups, and the price is good at $25 a night. Great place to stay to see the sights around here

Easy spot to sleep just off the highway to sleep in the car. The dead end doesn’t go down very far. There’s lots of broken glass so be careful at night and with your dog. Another car came and sat for about half an hour. Then another car camper came and set up on the other side of the dead end. Felt safe.

seems to be the only place to stay in town (I got here at 18:00 and the municipality was not an option any more)
super simple (toilet but no shower, no heating, no WiFi...), soso Clean, but also super cheap 25 bol for one person
if you want to get out of the wind might be a good option

Thr cleanest pit toilets ever! The older couple that were hosts are wonderful. In their 80s, they were amazing.

Still $20 a night for camping. Mix of RV and tent sites, pit toilets but no water. Super friendly and peaceful place.

Excelente lugar para passar a noite!
A cidade é um encanto e tranquila, passamos uma noite aqui e foi muito bom!

O único barulho foi o trem que passa atrás do estacionamento, fora isso é muito tranquilo.

as everyone described. a great free campsite between carlsbad caverns and Guadalupe national park. pit toilet was clean ish but didn't smell bad. all sites had shade, table, fire pit and grill. we were the only ones there on a Monday night in June. very good view of the stars.

We were told 4 hour maximum parking for RVs in the lot......but we were directed to a small parking lot and building across the street which was much quieter. When we stopped into the Tim Hortons thete for breakfast, we saw a Class B parked there and they spent the night there!

We planned to overnight here, but then discovered it was St John the Baptist Day and all businesses were closed! No one else was there overnighting and we couldnt get permission, so we left. This Walmart is also right in the midst of a residential area which we didnt care for.

Exactly as described. Had no trouble. It is a standard lay-by off a dirt road, grassy but not too overgrown.

Very good garage for trucks. We were very warmly received. Great team, many are Russian or Uzbek, they all speak Russian. A lot of people come here because the reviews are very positive. We confirm, team really professional, fast and smiling! Here we changed our suspensions and ordered a few parts. They drove us to an ATM to help us withdraw.

park includes restrooms open between 7am and dusk, with running water. picnic benches with shade. playground, and pickleball courts. no camping in the park, but adjacent street parking is not regulated by any signage. we spent the night in cars with no problems. park is popular with local families, so keep it polite cleanly and quiet.

Stayed here for two nights with our 24 ft. RV. After the 1st night we were away during the day and came back in the evening for a 2nd night as the spot was not taken yet.
No "no"-signs here. Spot is very big so we were far enough from the highway. Felt very save. And yes, very nice view on the huge rock in the ocean and also Vancouver Island in the distance.
Very quiet at night - hardly any cars passing after 9:30/10:00 pm, very few cars starting to pass after 5:30 am, on a Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
No amenities. Cell phone reception was weak - 0 to 1 bar of T-Mobile. And sometimes Roaming-reception from Canada interferes and we got "Welcome to Canada"-SMS. Would definitely stay here again!

Arrived here around 12.30 pm, with the intention to stay for the night. Had lunch here (150 Kwacha for cold stew with nshima) and decided not to stay. The place had a strange atmosphere and the staff was not friendly or welcoming at all. I think they were happy that we didn't stay...

If you follow Google Maps, you will navigate via Spiders Road. Don't be afraid, as there are fewer spiders at the location itself. Overall, it is one of the most beautiful places around, though you may encounter some nudists. A 4x4 vehicle is absolutely necessary.

We spent 2 nights there. Very nice and quiet. Muddy road at the end to get to the spots but ok with any vehicule if no rain.

Nous venons de passer 2 nuits tranquilles dans ce spot. La dernière portion de route pour y accéder est en terre, attention en cas de pluie mais sinon accessible à tous les véhicules

Really nice people, free tour, a shot of Pisco offer waiting the tour.
Artesanal distillery smaller than Mistral but both worth the visit.
Cabañas to rent.
Restaurant, almuerzo only.

Tour 6500 with a glass "offered".

The Pisco here is not the best but the visit was really interesting. You will go through a little museum learning about the history. Then you visit the distillery with all the process. Of course, tasting Pisco at the end.

Restaurant, almuerzo only.

There are 2 bus parking spaces for larger cars, there is a lot of traffic until around 8 p.m. In our night it smelled very strongly of garbage, rotten meat fish and it was hot. Aitos kept coming at night, and trucks could also be heard loudly. No restful night, but a nice skyline. A sign says no parking after 11pm.
