A very cozy restaurant. I ate rice with beef and salad for 35 Pula.

Since the restaurant and shop were closed and looked abandoned 2 km to the West, I came here to eat and camp. The security guard allowed me to pitch up my tent right away.

The restaurant and the shop were closed, when I arrived at 6 pm, so I had to bike 2,5 km back to the Shell gas station.

WiFi not at the campsite but at the bar/ restaurant. Don't need to buy vouchers.
Rest as described by former visitors. Nice and quiet.
You can trust Ricky for a guided tour to the Chagga tunnels, coffee making site and Ndoro Waterfalls. Ricky is cheap: 10 dollars for the group (not per person). Add 10 dollars pp for the tunnels (including coffee making) and 10 dollars pp for the waterfalls (but it isn't worth it).
You can buy coffee by Ricky for 10 dollars/ kg.

A safe and quiet place for a night. A softball game was finishing up when we got there. After people left it got really quiet. There were 2 other overnighters in the lot.

Spent 2 nights here to enjoy the hike to Santa Ana and Volcan Izalco. Message Robert in advance because he lives in the city and if he is not there, he will give you the access code to the gate so you can let yourself in. Same advice for late arrivals. Really beautiful spot, surrounded by the volcanoes. Grassy and flat with a pizza oven, firepit and toilets. No shower yet/ wifi or other usual amenities. We paid $8pp per night to park the van. I thought it was a little expensive considering there is no shower however it was beautiful, Robert and his dad are really sweet and the guides to take you up Santa Ana collect you right outside the gate.

We loved this spot so much after staying here on Jun 23rd that we came back for another night on our return trip from Tuk. Highly recommended. 10/10 5 star location.

Great little place back in the bush , high clearance would be good as the track degrades somewhat , if it was wet 4 wheel drive would be nice . Jeep made it in no problem nice flat area , quite great for sleeping .

Backpackers with limited camping options. Staff are very friendly and rooms (dorms and private) were nice. Limited facilities for campers (cold shower next to the pool).

Wifi was slow but worked ok. Restaurant food was nice.

No problems today going here to the Termas. It is mostly hard packed gravel with some muddy parts. High clearance recommended. A fun and easy road with our fully loaded dual sport motos.
Locals came this way with Midsize SUV's (e.g. Renault Duster). Do not do it in a tall vehicle since fallen trees will restrict you in driving through.

Very bad road! Come from the other side 4.99543, -75.41222

Nice spot for an overnight break- we saw no signs indicating no camping and the view of the dam is nice. We parked higher up, but the other entrance lower down has toilets if they are needed. Flat, room for big rigs.

Nice RV park with hook ups, laundry and shower. AAA discount, and discount at the attached restaurant. The restaurant will make change for laundry if the office is closed. only 2 washers and 2 dryers for a very large park. seems like a lot of long term tenants.

Spacious campsites and good bathrooms with showers. There had been some flash floods in previous weeks so a good bit of dirt around and some other campgrounds were closed but it was very nice. Palo Duro is a special, historic place.

Even if the signs said we are ok to park, I got a fine for night parking. And I caught a thief trying to steal my bikes during the night. Think twice before spending the night here.

Slept here last night undisturbed. A local bartender told me the police will not bother you here! Yay! A little louder than parking on one of the streets further inland, but cocooned in sea fog and serenaded by birds in the morning was lovely. Such a friendly town I stayed two nights.

We got here around 8:00pm and most of the parking places were occupied. We saw other vans and some RVs. When we woke up around 6:00am, the area was almost empty. So this is a parking area for local residents and I was mindful of that and made extra sure to *leave no trace*. If we’re respectful of areas like this, hopefully they will remain available.
If you’re a light sleeper, I would recommend ear plugs. I sleep with white noise in my earbuds but one fell out during the night so I was able to hear the comings and goings around me.

Clean campground directly off the highway. $37 for dry camping spot (picnic table and fire ring) Very clean bathroom, pay for shower if you want. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice place for a night. Noise from highway and airport wasn’t too bad and I slept well.

Great spot to do laundry if you have a large rig or you’re towing. NE Windy Knolls is a wide street that you can park on while doing laundry. Grass strip and sidewalk too. The laundromat is solid, and they’ll let you in the bathroom, just have to ask.

Nice quiet safe spot in the bay, only for the stealthiest, it’s a neighborhood and its street parking is along a playground/school. Mornings with lots of kids playing and people walking around. There’s bathrooms and water bottle fill up. Good for one night passing through.
