Nice Pousada in front of the beach. Small parking lot. Very nice owners talk to Leo or Chris about camping as overlanders they’ll give you a good price with breakfast included. They also offer boat tours to natural pools, up the river and to the dunes for sunset.

Flat grassy area off loon lake road. If you’re in a high clearance truck, preferably 4x4 capable and want something a little out of the way then this could fit your needs. Continue up loon lake logging road past the road closed sign and you’ll find a flat grassy area off the side. No view just a quiet, serene dark place for a good night sleep.
Not suitable for low clearance nor big rigs. There isn’t a place to turn around.

Simple hotel on edge of town. Friendly staff. 35,000 pesos per person. Secure parking right in front of hotel (no height restriction). Can walk to everything. Just a clean hotel room with cold shower but for the parking and staying in town we thought it was worth it. This spot also over looks the river and has swings and a pool table.

The hotel is misplaced, just turn right on street Patricio Lynch and you will find it.

Fantastic place with great hiking trail right here. About 5-6 spots for camper and 3 tent sights. Great location, spent two nights here. Pit toilets can be used at closest campground (1/2 mile) if you are discreet.

We tried to go to the Overflow campground because the signs said the Snaring River Campground was full. When we got there it was closed, so we tried our luck in the Snaring River Campground and found an empty spot, even if the signs said it was full. Same price.

15.70CAD/night, same price as the overflow. Self registration. Very calm and quiet. Every camspot has its own fire pit and picnic table. Pit toilets. They also offer cook shelter, fire wood (8.80CAD for the fire permit), food storage and drinking water.

lovely place to spend a night. entrance from the main road is south of Naranjal and it's a fairly rough road all the way to the village.

nice BC recreational site, closed to Whistler. 13$, pit fires, pit toilets, picnic tables. Pretty suspension bridge ans beautiful River at the south part of the campground.

Nice campsite, close to highway. Perfect for a night on the way north or south. RV hookups, laundry and very good showers. 34 dollars. Run by a very nice couple!

In 7 to 9 of September is the BTT in Storndorf every Year.
It s a Land cruiser meeting every Year.
Also other Cars are Welcome.

Self-registration makes it easy for travelers arriving late. Very clean and quiet.

We came by again after two years. There now is drinking water, at least mornings and afternoons and evenings, sometimes shut off around mid-day and at night. Also beer at good prices 😆 Clean toilets; we hung our solar shower from the lone tree.
This is a friendly campesino family still living like they have for generations. They may appear a bit shy, but they are friendly and genuine if you approach them. We hung out a bit with them under the palapas in front.
We spent five nights this time. Very quiet and safe also on the weekend. Locals may play soccer on Saturdays late afternoon, and there is a huge market in Cajabamba on Sundays.

Spot with a gravel Parking at the River, with a smal beach and playground for children. Some locals in the evening but not much.

We have not seen any toilets. May be exist no more. Electricity is still there. We didn't test it.

Large, flat area for dispersed camping just off of King Canyon rd. Quiet, ok cell service (2 bars Verizon LTE).

Locals were adamant to be aware of bears in this area and time of year (late fall) and we know of a couple who had their locked van broken in to by a hungry bear last year... so keep food secure. The road up to this site is fine, but if you keep going it gets treacherous (possibly not passable without a lifted, 4wd off road vehicle, according to locals).

Good spot. Enter to small rough road just opposite to restaurant. There are some loom (Adobe) houses and a football field. A family with tens of llamas live in a house but they are far and don't disturb you. It is totally hidden from the road and very quiet at night. I think this spot is better then the parking lot of restaurant. Good for any size of rigs and tents.

First class site with all amenities incl laundry , pool restaurant - all well run !

WiFi now at ok speed. Single $30, no haggling. Certainly not ‘new’ anymore, but pretty nice.

Pineview Campground is a very nice small campground about 500 m from Hwy 55. $25 with Power, $20 without Power. Campsites between trees. Quiet, but you can hear the traffic noise a little bit. Very quiet at night. Flush toilets, hot shower. All the campground and facilities are very clean. Free firewood, free mini golf. Highly recommended.

Its dificult to find a place in Teresina where you can park your RV. This hotel has a parking lot that can fit RV (6 to 8 meters), good price, R130 for a couple, breakfast and good bed

We had a quite night at this fuel station, just behind the Churrasceria Caxias do Sul.

Pull out off main forest road with enough space for a few vehicles. If you walk down past the pullout there is a path leading to a campfire/tent site area.

Beautifully located campsite in a forest. Quite large, but only about 12 pitches are open for vehicles. About 30 more may be used for camper trailers or tents. All other pitches are for members only. The pitches for cars/vans/campers are located next to the road, which is not ideal, but not too noisy. Ablutions are clean and practical. The place is run by volunteers so be patient and nice. Often, there are group activities going on, so you may have some noise from that. I payed €12,80 for 1 person, 1 nights, 1 Landcruiser. Perfect place to stay a couple of days to hike in the woods.

As described. Close to the road, no shade.
