Nice campground at the lake, but not cheap. 39$ per night for the spots at the shore, 5$ discount for seniors.

Near to the boarder, very basic and no ac, but there is all you need. The whole family was there and offered us everything, its just a little bit hard as the owner speaks very little english. We could use their kitchen. Safe parking, even if im not sure if they closed the gate.

Road 41 was worst than the 40 because a lot of stones on the track. We were with a 4x4. On the road 40 we drive at 80km/h, on 41 50km/h max so 3h30 to posadas

Several flat grassy spots with bushes arround direct at the river. Hidden from the mainroad. We were allone on a friday night and it was quiet. If you cross the brigde, just before the village, turn right. Take the track left and pass the restaurant/balneario and follow it until you find a spot you like.

Great little spot. Lots of wasps and mosquitos and other bugs, but it was quiet and calm at night. Locals come and go, but no one bothered us. Would be a good fishing spot too.

Same above! Take care at the end of the pavef road, they asked us 170 pp one way and return for Big Daddy dune and deadvlei (they are together). So we consider it was a big scam!! Better go first to the little white container/office anw2wwwwwwd pay them. Also u can go by walking but so hoooot!!

There are no overnight parking signs but you just need to go in and ask the customer service manager. They said it's okay and no one patrols the lot. Quiet at night.

The place is next to the sea. But unfortunately currently there are some seaweed and the sea looks not attempting. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon around 5pm. And the camping area is already full with RVs, cars, and tents. It was impossible to find a good spot by the ocean. No shower available. 150pesos per person so it’s quite expensive for what it offers. Lots of big mosquitoes.

Found this roadside spot looking for a shade to sleep in on a hot day. The street is filled with "no parking" signs but this patch had no such signs and there were a few other cars parked under a big tree providing enough shade for about 3 cars.
Beautiful location overlooking San Pablo Bay. Not sure if it's suitable for overnight parking but we spent the whole day sleeping there and nobody bothered us.

Beautiful plateau right next to the playa rosada restaurant. The guy in the restaurant wanted to have 10 dollars per night, so we just decided to find our own spot around. We found this plateau at 6pm and was nice for us spend two nights , very quiet. The weather was cloudy but still nice. The only alert is when is rainning, not recommend because everything up is earth and very easy to become muddy. Just Be aware but enjoy!

Ok campground if you don't want to wildcamp. Still 5000pp. Friendly owner. Acces road could be difficult for big rigs due to narrow turns. Acces to campground itself is without limits. Clean bathrooms, a kitchen and fridge and a swimmingpool are yours to use. For the moment no shade on the overland parking (they are improving the whole campsite, so maybe in the future). Not the best campground, but for 5000 def. ok in SAP! They have 2 large barking dogs, don't be afraid, they are very friendly (Pepe and Jake).

Very good car wash. We paid 80 bob for 35 minutes with only fresh water/agua dulce (Toyota Land Cruiser). Washed exterior, undercarriage and engine (after the salt flats).
Much better then the car wash we watched in Uyuni next to the petrol station.
Did a pretty decent job, definitely recommended.
Also saw some tour cars and a big truck being washed here.

More a parking lot than a wild camping spot.
However, very nice to stay there. Just some locals during the evening and very quiet at night. Gustavo, the night-guard, is also very friendly. We stayed here with friends for two nights. Not very levelled.
There are now toilets.

We found the place it is a picnic spot for locals and the people come here to fill water at the Mineral water spring there. The water from the spring is nice. If you want to have the place more for yourself there is a nice grassy area about 100-200m before you get to the marked place. You can be seen from the road at both places but there is almost no traffic anyway. To get on the grassy area it could be helpful to have 4x4. Even at the end of the summer the first meters on the gras were wet. Picture shows grassy area not the marked spot.
