Had a super experience here, the owners are really kind and willing to help you for everything you need. I spent my birthday here and they even organized an amazing party with traditional music and dresses. |

Was a perfect place for us! Not too noisy, even on the Independence Day of Brazil with a lot of people, not too dirty, just ok, nice host, huge grassy area, perfect to visit the city... and by the way, make your own choice and take the right shower ;-), men in the middle!

We were here a couple weeks ago for two nights with no problems. Came back today for lunch and while we were gone our van had been broken into. They stole a laptop, a Nintendo 3DS and a homeopathic remedies kit. They didn't steal our speaker, or anything else of value so it could have been worse. BE CAREFUL in this town. Try to park somewhere where you can see your vehicle or pay for safe parking. |

Great little camp ground. Unpowered was $12pp. Has kitchen, laundry, power, water, toilets, hot showers, TV, museum. Right on the Daintree river. Across the road from pub, restaurants, shops and info desk. Peter was very welcoming upon arrival. Power sites and lodges are available. |

Right on the river mouth and close to the beach this is good size Caravan park. Decent facilities as well. Shops nearby as well as things like boat rental. Gets busy over summer. Camped here a number of times as kids many moons ago and good that the laid back vibe of the place has hardly changed |

They were unfriendly from the start and wanted 80bol.
Instead I went to “lavado 4x4” (find it on maps.me), they were really friendly and did a good job for 50bol. |

Just a large gravel lot adjacent to the grocery store. I spoke with a local and he said that RV's often overnight here. It was quiet last night and we had no issues. |

There is no posted signs for camp fee. Pit toilets are poorly ventilated, smells to high heaven, doors don't latch properly. No garbage disposals. You take out what you bring in is what we were told by the attendant |

If you're looking for a reasonably-priced hiking backpack or smaller day pack, this is a cool place. The owner Carlos sews the bags himself. You can see him stitching the pieces together when you go! The bags range from $20 for a school bag to $60-70 for the big packs with external aluminum frames. We bought two medium-sized bags for $30 each for trekking (sorry I don't know the specific sizes). He also makes waist packs and other small bags. I included some pictures of the examples, but I'm sure he could make a specific color for you if you wanted. Check this place out if you want a simple but affordable backpack made in Ecuador, and also to support local business. |

Follow the Petersville road past Petersville, through the canyon, shortly after the bridge there are mining roads that cut off into the hills... follow the road to the right (towards these way points)... you can drive a decent way out, stop where ever you feel comfortable with your rig, and hike the rest... totally worth it... the mining road does have several creek crossings and one fairly challenging loose gravel incline... not many turn arounds... |
