This is a really simple and nice place to camp. The owners are really nice and allowed us to put our hamacs. So we had a roof and the view on the lake for only 20Q per person per night in low season. They have a swimming pool and good wifi but only cold showers. You can have breakfast there and a large choice of good coffees. We also took a coffee tour with them that was really interesting.

This place does propane for fixed tanks. Fast and friendly service.

I made the mistake of going to the one outside of town and they redirected us here.

there is a parking next to the road. you can drive done the river 4x4 about 300m or leave the car. the place is beautifull full of little rock. if you are brave you can take a bath in the crystal clear river. during the day locals may be swimming here, but at night you are alone. I would guess 2 to 3 nights ok. enjoy

An amazing group of friendly people running a wonderful little place. Beautiful lake, clean bathrooms, hot showers. Was $25

nice place, quiet and safe, in the toconao there a police station.

Plenty of room, several campers of all varieties were here. Sign indicates a 24 hr limit.

in this town there are a few gas stations but better to fill up to full on everything before heading to cotahuasi since this is the last place to do it.

for my RV whith 7,5 m it was no Problem, the way down looks harder then it is. Dont stand on the parking lot whithout 4x4, it is soft sand. i stand on the way.

Rest area by the road. Toilets, children playground. No signs prohibiting overnight stays.
Quiet during the night.

parking lot behind the restaurant, there were a bunch of campers and van lifers around. a bit noisy and some light posts nearby but good for a night

As described. About 15km rugged road prior to arrival. Managed with out 2wd westy. Cabanas a little further up so some traffic but everyone mucho friendly. Feels safe. A wee visible from the road.

Nice place quiet lovely with a big garden, very helpful staff and good food. 15000 for an hamburguesa. no WiFi but big parking in the front.

We wanted to camp here, but it was fully booked. So best to phone ahead in the busy season (even in September) to make sure if they have space. We had to find a guest house after dark in Kuruman.

Empty, clean beach (little stones). There are fisherman huts and boats and the guys come in the morning and leave afternoon. There is running water and firewood available. There is Vodafone 3G

Spectacular views! Great ride in on the dirt road with the motorcycle! Took the long way out the next morning for another 25mi of off-road coming out where Willow Creek Rd meets 1. I'll definitely stay here again. So many places to pull over and camp in the 40mi of off-road loop that I covered.

Handy pullout with picnic tables and fire rings downstream. There are multiple sites along this canyon that follows beside Cochetopa Creek. These sites are rarely used.

what a beautiful lake.....normaly you have to pay the parking lot...but after september its free. if you rig is higher than 2.30 you can not enter the parking place but theres space on the road. beautyful turkies water...swimming is amazing. there are toilets and a fountain.

Very scenic spot by the lake. We got there on a Saturday and there were already few fishermen. Since we were dying for some privacy, we decided to skip this nice location and push on a little more along the Sulak river.

Quiet night alone by the river. Some mosquitoes, but nothing too bad. Far enough from the town mosque to have a good rest. The place started to get a little busier from noon (Sunday)

La Pausa is an hostel, rental apartment and overlanders meeting point.
Elisa, Sebastian, Sofia them daughter and them 3 dogs have traveled with their Combi for many years and now, finally, they have find a place to call home.
Hostel price around 250 mx
Overlanders can sleep in the car park and use the facilities.
They gave us very good tips about things to do in the Yucatan Peninsula + they arranged for us a snorkeling tour at a local price!

About 30 minutes from the black top and about 1hr to the NP in dry season. Very friendly host. Decided too much of a challenge to get to the camping area with Land Rover and Caravan so parked outside the gate. No cars pasted during the night. Well worth doing the trail opposite, probably more birds than NP El Rey.

Good point (parking) to visit intresting locations as National Museum of Iran, Islam Museum, Grand Bazar, Park

Now runs under the name of Crystal Tours. Very friendly, helpful family. Especially welcoming for overlanders, offering wifi, hot shower, toilet and parking space! Recommend!
