Great little fish tacos stand right after the checkpoint. We had fish tacos and shrimp tacos and they were outstanding. 4 tacos and a Coke for $105 pesos

They refilled our German 11kg bottle in half an hour. We provided the adaptors. 600 pesos, around 14 Euros. Very friendly. This place is a shop for all kinds of camping gear, tents, fishing equipment. While waiting for the refill we shopped in the supermarket next door which is cheap compared to other places. Absolute recommendation.

As described earlier: Restaurant and Hotel with a nice pool and garden space with shower & toliet adjacent to big parking lot. Typical yucatecan food, very good. Rooms for two with ac/private bath/fan/wifi/tv cost $425 pesos/night. We were planning to camp in garden near pool but rooms were affordable. Hotel can provide same day laundry service. We lost electricity late morning for a few hours, but spent the day checling out all the cenotes near by. Easy to hail a mototaxi for cenote tour. We did 4 cenotes for $250, he served as a great tour guide. We highly recommend having a local (mototaxi driver) take you to see and experience the cenotes. Restaurant is noisy afternoon and evening after tourists come in from touring the cenotes, might be better on second level.

nice place when you want to escape LA. but stay away from the big rigs with its generators!! it feels like a generator war at a wilderness campground! pretty annoying

What a place. If you get here for 5.30pm you can join the distillery tour. They currently make their own gin and are planning on whiskey. The tour is very informative, lasts about an hour. Clearly this is a labour of love. Come support it. We didn’t try the food but were told it was good.

Pereira is a relatively new city with no great tourist attractions, but we made same nice new friends is a good place to sell workcrafts.
Particularly this place is an open square, very big, flat, calm, have security of the buildings, supermarket and near the university and bothanical garden. We fell safe to let our RV all day and part of the night alone.
Noise from the street.

A very attractive looking lodge with a small museum and interesting butterfly breeding centre, blue morpho and owl butterflies. Informative tour. In the reserve they have marked several trails through the forest. I was too late for birds but they have recorded308 different birds in the reserve. Map available. Butterflies tour + hiking about 10US.

A hostel with nice restaurant at the balcony in front of the main square (Plaza de armas). Very friendly staff. Parking for cars and motorcycles located 2 blocks from the hostel. We paid 40 soles for a double room with bathroom, including a nice breakfast (eggs, bread, te or coffee) (regular price was 50 soles). Quiet place. Good view of the mountains. Valeria, Flor and Diego are very friendly. We stay 4 nights. Hot shower, good bed and pillows.

They brew their own beer.
For lunch they offered grilled ‘congrio’, grilled veal and grilled chicken breast, with some vegetables, roasted potatoes or rice with mushrooms. They offered a mix salad as well. All looks clean, nice view on the bay... Everything was really tasty! The self made ‘calafate’ juice, amazing!

Great food especially calamari. Great views of the Sierra Nevada and Granada from roof top terrace. Dogs welcome on a lead. A little expensive but service was good ( 9.20 euros for calamares starter but good portion size)

This little pulloff for fishermen looks like a good spot for one night. It's protected from the highway by a slope and trees. Probably some decent fishing if you're up to it. The six or seven picnic areas have been overrun by grass but they are still useable.

Beautiful campground at the west side of the Errinundra National Park next to the Brodribb River. Large, grassy sites under high shady trees at both sides of the river. Pit toilet and picnic benches. The shallow river is good to let children play and for cooling, but not so much for swimming. Secluded places are available if you accept some walking distance to the toilet. One walk leaves from the campground (11 km, one way, steep - we didn't walk it). Park access and camping are free of charge. No mobile reception.

Attendant said he couldn't do it because not legal. After telling him that we were empty and waited .until arriving here because friends said they got propane here, he filled and asked us not to tell anyone. So....here we are telling everyone. Oy! Perhaps only go if you are really in trouble with your propane level and be discreet and cool to the attendants.
