Stayed here 1 night with my dog. Was here about 2 years ago and nothing has changed. 350 mxn/night/person.

Arrived at sunset and the parking lot was nearly full. Was offered a matrimonial room for s/70 (1 person) including breakfast but inquired about tent camping and was offered to camp for free! Parked my motorcycle in an empty corner of the parking lot. Set up the tent back in the covered corner by the pool among paint cans and tools. Relatively nice (cold) showers available in the bathroom in the poolside, nicer restaurant. s/10 menu still available in the front, more normal restaurant. Of course I ate dinner and breakfast there and bought lots of drinks and dessert in appreciation for the owners' hospitality. Visa/MasterCard accepted!

Off tarmac, next to gravel road leading to official camp site, beautiful view in the morning, stars at night. Good option if you’re looking for a place to sleep

Turn off for Mbosi meteorite coming from Tunduma. Longer than if using the Mbozi turn off but the dirt road is ok.

Compulsory weighbridge for all vehicles above 3.5T. Signs advise fine of $2000 for anyone over 3.5T caught not going through the weighbridge. They just waved us through, we didn’t even need to get out.

Very quiet place. A road that rises on a mountain close to the freeway. We passed a guard who let us sleep there.

Very nice campsite with great potential. View is spectaculair and ablutions are an example to the tourism industry. Plans for further development are present and sound healthy. For now, a very good place to stop for a day or two. Price and services as presented earlier. MTC connection irregular. Beautiful skies at night.

Nice view at the beach, for one night ok, but a few cars with loud sounds and music going around at the middle of the night. No wind this night, but this place has no wind protection.

for my relations almost fancy. got the room for two people for 20 instead of 45.

1,5 year after the last check-in all tracks left and right from this point are covered from sand. Access no longer possible. We close this point and enter a new wild camp spot “playa las lamas” 2.5 km south of here with access road.

Not the worst emergency wild camp. Take the access road to “playa las lamas” (posted coordinates) and follow one of the tracks some 200 m down to the cliff. Tracks are in use, because fishermen use it. Waves drown the traffic noise. No wind protection (we had none), no visual cover (we have a camper van). But Claro 4G reception

They are still not 100% up and running, so I'm going to take the services out the still haven't fixed - someone can put them on as they are fixed.

they have different cookie like things: sweet and salt made with yuca flour. wheat and corn bred only in the late afternoon. ring their bell.

This place is very clean and comfortable. 25 soles for a single. As others have mentioned the wifi mostly sucks. The only other thing is that some rooms have hallway-facing windows with no blinds, so light from the hallway illuminates the room all night. Try and get a room with no window!

They filled our US fixed tank. Super friendly! It took a minute!

One of the best overlanding spots! Kitchen and bathroom are now ready, super clean and very equipped. The access to the river and the fire place are definitely a plus. You can also walk up to the main house and see the sunset over Santa Marta and the Sierra Nevada valley. The owner is really helpful, gives you all the tips. There is also a loundry service for 6000 cop/kg.

Very nice place. Howling monkeys all around at night. Close to the ruins, nice pool, bar and restaurant. Laundry service. However, there are 10 extreme Topes on the only way here and they broke our Graywater tank. RVs with low undercarriage clearance BEWARE!

Stayed here one night on ‘back’ side of old guard shack. Room for one camper van or car. Free...no amenities. Quiet and felt safe.

Good spot, but watch them like a hawk. Came in for an oil change and chassis wash. They first overfilled the engine and cross threaded the oil drain plug when bleeding out the excess, but they provided a replacement. We ended up doing the complete wash, which included greasing our suspension. Ended up paying $10 for the wash, and $85 for the oil change and filter replacement.

A restaurant along the road where you can pitch your tent or sleep in a camper van. Very welcoming owners. Cycling friendly place.

We came across this place and managed to get chain lube (several brands including Motul), oil (several brands including Motul), LED bulbs, petrol tank breather pipe, side stand spring and a few other bits. There were a good few tyres available of various sizes and brands including Pirelli. Open 9.30 to 1pm and again in the afternoon (? after 6pm).

We spent the night here with our truck camper without problems. You can get wifi from “la playita” if you are close enough. Internet and password on the picture.
