very nice place to stay. Beautiful natural pools. We were alone in one pool. only few people over the day and nobody in the morning. We paid 10.000 pP including camping. The termas are really warm and in beautiful surrounding, one directly by the Rio. The owner is very friendly and caring.

Reconstructed pre-inca site, bigger than we expected. The road to get here is good (no need for 4wd). Our gps estimated the 4km drive at 30min, which actually took us 5min in the dark. The entrance is clearly indicated from the main road.
Entrance is free but the lady working here kindly asked for a tip.

We arrived after dark and spent the night next to the house before the ruins. We did not find the actual parking lot (on the righthandside 200m before you get to the entrance of the ruins).
The road to get here is good: quicker than our gps told us, no 4wd needed, no issues getting there at night.
Around 9pm/10pm a car stopped at the house and a man came knocking at our window. He just wanted to tell us we could spend the night here (next to the house) or a bit further on the official parking lot (next to the ruins) and that he was from the Departamento de Cultura (also mentionned on his jacket). The next morning an elderly lady working at the ruins came to say hi. Overall very calm place to spend the night and great views when waking up!

Such a beautiful family. We slept in our van out the back, as it was behind the house it's a little sheltered from the loud truck noises. There is basic toilet facilities, but not sure about shower.

We were unsure about cost the whole time... but finally at the end they charged 12000 for dinner, tea and camping per person. It was a little expensive, but they make you part of their family. We even sat around a camp fire at the end of the night with guitar and sing along.

Theres is covered camping for those in tents too. And some flat ground.

Nice little campground within Uwharrie National Forest. Great spot to explore the forest as campground has direct access to The Uwharrie Trail. Campsites are a medium size but road is narrow so big units would struggle to back in. I would recommend nothing longer then 35ft total. Campsites have table, fire pit and lantern post. Only pit toilets available with no water source. Sites are only $7/night with 50% discount for certain pass holders. Very quiet and peaceful. Showers/Flush toilets are available at Badin Lake or Arrowhead campgrounds that are close by for $3 charge

We stayed one night and enjoyed the place. Food prices increased to 300t Rial vegetarian, 450t Rial for fish and 200t Rial for breakfast. We could wash and dry our laundry for free.

There's a sign that says no camping but it was installed by the tour guy after some Chilianos tent camping made a fire, left and then the fire restarted with the wind. He says it's OK to sleep in your car/van but no fires and I wouldn't assume you can tent here.

Now there's a big gate that looks pretty fresh stopping access. There looks to be other ways up but they are dead ends, save your time

Great little museum. There aren't a lot of artifacts, but really nice pictures of Pancho Villa with captions in Spanish and English (poorly translated but still mostly understandable). The guy who runs it is super nice. He didn't speak English but we were able to communicate with our limited Spanish. We asked how much the museum was after we were done looking at everything - he said whatever you like so we have him 100 pesos.

He let us spend the night in a grassy area next to the parking lot. We had no problems.

I don't think the museum gets many visitors but it is worth a little detour!

In a quiet street with many restaurants in the neighbourhood and the metro on walking distance.
Nice 3 persons room with baño. Nothing is really new. Kitchen is clean. Nicest breakfast we had in the hostals we did. More then basic. Also Dulce Gusto Coffee. Very friendly people.

I showed up late to find a tour bus blocking the road. So I parked right on the road. No problems, stayed fo 2 nights. There is a dirt lane with a sign for beach parking. But my Class C was too tall to pass the branches of the tree on on one side. Anything smaller than a Class C could park there. It's a small grass area with track leading to the beach. Would have been more private. As it is, minimal traffic, restaurants right out front. It was a place to stay with no problems.

Wow. Definitely a recommended place. Directly at the sea between some palms. Very calm at night; there are only a few lodges around. Follow the signs to the AguaDulce Lodge and go 2 km further on the sandy road. Absolutely doable with a 2wd, only parts where you should not be to slow.

Huge gravel parking lot, probably best option for big rigs. Spent one night here, super quiet with a nice breeze from the lake. No facilities.

Christian from Alma Verde Campground pointed this out to me. A scramble/hike to a set of waterfalls and pools as seen on maps.me.

The more adventurous inclined should keep left on a small route just after crossing the gate, paralleling the road past the water pipeline and then steeply up to get to the top of a whole series of pools and falls, inviting you for a cold swim. The route follows down along the water with some scrambling involved and there are even some climbing bolts.

It appears you can scramble up the cliff from the bottom on either side of the bottom falls.

Good value for money! 55.500 for a single room but is enough for 2 people including breakfast for two! fruits and omlett with bread! Clean and hot water for shower! We had room number 809, for us the nicest one! they have a restaurant but we had no dinner there!
To get the cheap prices you have to book via booking.com! we did directly at the reception! Our room would be 25 dollars but with the discount on booking it was 15 dollars! They cannot give discount at the reception!

We camped here for 2 nights. We camped in a gully north of the track to the beach, and we didn't think we could be seen from the road. The track to the beach has been somewhat repaired, and would be pass able with care. However camping on the beach you would have tone careful about very high tides. and of it rained and the creek flowed you would be stuck there. We could not find the track mentioned below north of the green sign.

This was our most expensive campsite in Mexiko since 5 months. The Internet is very bad. But near the wonderful town of Guanajuato there is no other and I think the chef knows this.

Excellent spot to escape the wind. Hillside and tall trees blocked the wind and made it ok for our roof top tent, whike everywhere in the park was so windy we couldn't camp.

Protected from everything except North wind. Even from the north, it will be less windy than other places though.
