Got plenty of bed bugs here last night (both of us), wifi is basically non existant so don't count on that. No one knows anything about the town (grocery store or atm?). Was told to take everything off the motos and take it up 2 flights of stairs to our rooms. Traffic is terrible in this town and don't bother trying the "grocery store"...

Nice little Hotel in Pasto. Ok to stay one night when heading north. Paid 30.000 COP for 2 person, matrimonial and private bathroom. We could park our 2 motobikes secure in the garage. Little shops, restaurants and hardware stores are in walking distance.

This is a small Restaurant located at the end of Playa Santa Cruz. Their food is really good and if you need space to park your RV you can park just opposite with a view onto the lake. They will let you stay their for free if you eat at their restaurant. There is enough space for two small sized RV’s (22ft long and 10ft high). You can also rent scooters, bicycles & kayaks. They also have guides up to the volcano Madera y Concepcion. There are also Picknick tables next to the parking so you can enjoy the view over the lake and the beach. Highly recommendable!!!

Great peruvian restaurant, sort of modern style of cuisine and relaxed setting, tucked in a beautiful and quiet alley, recommended by locals. The ceviche is amazing (tradicional or pepper pecan inventive recipe), super good sized portions (an actually big "chico" size for 10 to 13 soles we shared) and delicious causa! They also have leche de tigre, arroz com mariscos, parihuela, seafood pastas and good looking, big portions of chicharrón the pescado we didnt try. Fresh, really fast service, delicious. Biodegradable take away containers (!!!) with extra cancha toatadas to go. Totally recommended. It was our favourite meal in Cajamarca.

When we arrived it looked that it was closed.
Nobody there, big caterpillar in the yard and no activity.
But there are alternatives in the Todra valley.

There's a sign "beachside" on the main road. Just follow this sign which leads you direct to a very nice beach. You can park your caravan a few meters before the beach on the right hand side. There are trees which spend shade. Our caravan is 3,30 m high. We had no problems to enter (only a few branches). On the beach there are several beach bars. We recommend the second (Santosha). The owner (Lamin) is a very nice guy, who teaches Yoga as well. If you drink something there, you can use the very comfy sunbeds and umbrellas for free. Drinks have reasonable prices. You can order food, too. We had 2G with our Africell-SIM.

Small but nice campsite.
Not to much sun because of the gorge, so cool in summer.
Ablusion is clean and good.
We paid Dh70 (no elec) for 2 persons and 4x4.

Standard Walmart. They said it was fine to park overnight as long as we parked over by the garden center. We didn’t see a water refill station inside but they do sell gallons of water if you need it. Internet was slow on our phones. (Verizon). Bathrooms inside.

Border crossing quite easy with car , precious comments about documentation is correct. You cancel the Bolivian TIP on the Argentinian side. NO INSURANCE IS SOLD AT BORDER. To get insurance you need to go into La Quiaca. Take a taxi from border ($50 Pesos) to Avenue Espana y San Juan. Place is called Pago Facil, cost for my 1983 Landy was $75 USD for 4 months and covers you for Chile, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru. Cost will depend on make and model. Come early as it will take a whole day to get everything sorted.

Maybe one could say the coffees are "expensive" coffee(for local standards at least, not US or European capitals), but we felt the price was just for many reasons: they actually use really carefully selected, fresh, special coffee beans for their drinks. They know their coffee making and invest their energy in coming up with the best cup you can have, and indeed the result is amazing. Whether you want a classic espresso, espresso based drinks, filtered methods, or wanna go a little wild and try their egg coffee of pisco coffee (both so yummy) there's no going wrong here. Simply everything we tried was delicious and carefully made from start to finish. Sweet people and so entusiastic if you wanna do some coffee talk. It's a family business, stil starting off but oh so promising. I wish I could stay around to have more of their brews and see what else they are coming up with in the future. (I already wanna go back for another pisco coffee)
Food wise we only tried a breaksfast combo with fruit salad (with granola and yogurt), sandwich and coffee drink, all delicious, big portions and pretty cheap for what you get!
They also have a selection of peruvian artesanal beers.
Open in the morning till 1pm and then open again at 4:30pm. If unsure call first (number on google maps).

We are a place full of wildlife, habitat of howler monkeys, toucans, and many other species. The campground is surrounded by the Olon River, and has trails that take you to the viewpoint, the walk is 40min. and another path that leads to the waterfalls. The place offers bathroom, shower, stove, bbq area. and a pool. All surrounded by the jungle. A true paradise for those who seek to get away from the noise of the city. It is located in Olon, at the end you will find a dirt road that says El Retiro hostel, that is the road and it takes about 20min then it crosses the river and enters the jungle. You must cross the river 4 times following the path and you will reach the indicated coordinates. For more security in the town of Olon there is a Zamora hardware store, there the owner of the Cascadas de Alex works 096-985-4943.

"hot springs" = un bassin de la grosseur d'une fontaine de centre d'achat. N'ayez pas trop d'attentes en venant ici. Les mouches ont envahi notre van, j'ai arrêté de les compter après en avoir tué 40, zone agricole, c'est normal ...
No private shower (outdoor only), toilet, no Internet, no electricity. La baignade est bonne et fait du bien après une longue journée de route.
** check your personnal belongings. We forgot our sunglasses next to the pool. 10min later they where gone.

We stayed for two nights, parking is big and flat, no problem with our 24 ft. It's very quiet on weekdays because the shuttles for Janizo only work on weekends. Very close to the city center where we had no problem to park near the basilica. Safe and free.

Definitely don’t agree. Honestly the worst chocolate we had ever. But tastes are different. If you want a homemade hot choc which tastes like cocoa go to „Tapiz“ in PA. Neither the hot choc nor the pralines tasted good.

This place is specialized in brakes. We tried to get new brake pads for our Fiat Ducato motorhome (European model) but didn’t manage to find suitable replacement pads. At this place they were able to cut similar pads (Mercedes sprinter) to make them fit and enable us to continue our travel! Very recommendable and friendly!
Location is a bit hidden in the backyard just follow the GPS pin.
