They've taken extra steps to make it great for overlanders. Dedicated bathroom and shower block with two showers for each men and women. We stayed five nights and had very hot water the whole time. Sink for washing up. Also dedicated wifi router. This is the first time in Peru we've had wifi that not only connects and works but is actually extremely fast. Plus, you can walk into town easily. Big road makes it a bit noisy outside camper in daytime but you can also go into the interesting old lounge in the hotel. For us, the conveniences were totally worth the cost (23/person).

What a miserable place. Power plant to the north, a shabby neighborhood to the east, salad bowl to the south, trashy beach parking lot to the west, zero beach views. Didn’t feel safe, I was tired, but kept driving..

Nice budget hotel. We stayed in our rooftent two nights for 200 birr. We get acces to a room to use the toilet and showers. We get three times a different room because there was no hot water. At room number three there was. A little bit noisy at night. Very friendly staff!

Cool hot springs along the Lafayette River, just off the road. Lots of little pools in different temperatures, little steamy waterfalls, really beautiful. There's a small fee for parking, but when it's off season like the time we got there - completely free. Nice for a quick stop along the way

Quiet spot by the road in Valle Del Transito. A few vehicules passing by, but it stopped during the night. Great views on the lake and, since it’s far from city lights, stargazing was just amazing !
There’s plenty of space too, but not very discreet.

Best place to go in Tajikistan. I own an Uaz Buhanka. I was already 9 days living on the parking garage of the previous garage I went to, Liqui Moly, as I couldn’t go to a hostel with my dog. Living there was not ideal. Liqui Moly was a good company. But they had too much work and things went slow. Also are a little expensive. When my gearbox showed a big leak when I left Dushanbe I had to turn around. I decided to go to Abdugaffor because of the previous review. I arrived. They immediately parked my van inside the gates. There can only be 2 cars inside the gate so they were always working on my car, from Morning till evening to replace the gearbox. On top of that, the garage in Kyrgyzstan that replaced my engine said they couldn’t make the turbo fit and left it off. Abdigaffor offered to make it fit, and he did! It was pleasant to live there, they offered me lunch every day, my dog could play freely inside the gates and there was a toilet and shower I could use. I absolutely recommend to go here. Super clean camping site, stayed here for one night . In October it’s was very empty .. if you arrive and there are too many people keep driving to north beach access , where dogs are allowed off leash .

They provide free camping if you eat at the restaurant. However, no shower access is included. We ended up going for a double room including woodstove and HOT water. 15$pp including dinner and breakfast

Just drove with a 4x4 up the hill. 100m away from the street, but non visible from there. The people from the only house nearby brung tea and bread the night.

We got to the border later than we wanted and decided we would prefer to cross into Guatemala in the morning. This gated parking is right across from the Mexican immigration office where you turn in your TIP and FMM. Nothing special but nice people and useable toilets. We paid 200 pesos. It is technically run out of the hotel next door so inquire there. Fairly quiet although around 4am our dog woke us barking at some people in the gated area, not sure what they were doing??? Felt much safer than parking on street or crossing near dark. Looks like there’s additional parking in back for even bigger rigs

Quirky eatery with eclectic style. Fresh brochen (rolls) are a specialty. Buy to take on your trip or sit in garden and have coffee with filled roll. Reasonable price. Cake is also sought after. Apple strudel types.

Very clean place and still new. You can stay over night and you have meny Restorsnts and Café s here. I was here over night and was very fresh in the night!!!

Perfect place for the night. Road ok without a 4x4. We were alone there all night, no sound.
Fishermans and surfers coming in the morning to check the beach but we didn’t really hear them before 7-8.

Pricing has changed, it’s $25/20 (summer/winter) to park for the night. Includes: 24/7 access, kitchen, shower, a drink, breakfast, WiFi and a free load of laundry! Plus a chill vibe.

I needed Wi-Fi for the night so it was a good spot, safe with a strong connexion, a good coffee at the morning (1$50 with a lot of refeel). train is noisy but for me it was ok. nice view

Large area to camp near the Oliver reservoir with toilets, tables, water and fire rings. Noisy trains nearby, but it's free.

To get a TIP, you need to fill a form (www.edbv.receita.fazenda.gov.br) on internet. This is not possible at the border. You can do this next to the fire station in town.
