We were her for the second time in two years and we love this site. Well maintained and large grounds. The Termas are nice, especially in the early morning when you it is still very quiet and peacefull. We paid 400 Pesos for 2 persons and a small camper. The amenietes are worn out but they keep them clean.

We managed this road on 2 enduro bikes in the dry. We managed to get thru the mud bog (with some route finding). I would not recommend this in the wet or with a vehicle.

But, shortly after the mud bog we came across a private property sign - turns out the last 5 km are now owned by a mining company. While we managed to ride into the property, the highway side had a gate with a security guard. The boss was not inpressed that we rode through this property.

I wouldnt recommend this route as a result (despite it being beautiful).

large boulders, top of the pass, halfway to San Filipe, a few pull out spots for camping, some spray painted rocks w it's people's names., recommend travelling this road ONLY in the day,NEVER at night due to road deteriorating. Exciting drive though!

Very friendly place, with shelter for tents, electricity (need an extension), good wifi, hot water. The owners are the best in this place, they invited me to drink chimarrão, I used water to wash my motorcycle and paid to señora Anitta to wash my gear. Very pleasant place and people who like to talking with you. Señor Luiz is planing to build more shelters for the season.

Fantastic People , Fantastic Service. Good English. My wife became ill, Dr Jorge and his assistant Sandra attended straight away . Took us to a good local hospital and remained with us for the rest of the day. Very thorough and very proffesional. I cannot recommend them enough. They have checked on my wifes progress every day since and have visited us on many occasions to assess her progress. Just brilliant

This is a public park just in the middle pf town. The coordinates are for the entrance of an small path leading to a small area for one ring where is safe and protected from wind. We spent one night here without any problems as all formal campgrounds were closed.

This place was awesome, Hans one of the host and makes the BEST BREAD! We planned on 1 day, but ended up staying 4 days. Just really good vibe and energy of the overlanders here. Hans has the best tips on where to go and places to see in Ecuador. Hot showers, good WiFi, and best of all good German beer...a must place to stay.

This place is a Land Rover garden of heaven. They are really nice skilled mechanics specialized in old Land Rover cars. We spent the night there talking about landies and travels around a few drinks with the owner and his crew.

We were able to make it to the refugio in our Ford F-250 - definitely do not attempt without 4WD. Cold and quiet evening. The glacier hike is definitely worth doing in the morning with (hopefully) clear views.

Travelers Land is the home and homestay of the amazing Mohsen Qomi, the founder of the Fb-group Overland in Iran. He can help you with just about anything and he has fantastic stories about overlanding and overlanders. Don’t miss visiting his homestay or workshop when your around Bojnurd :).

We spent a couple of days at Mohsen’ and had a great time and Mohsen gave us a wonderful introduction into Iran.

There’s room for a car in his garden and motorbikes or cycles can park safely in the garden as well. You can either sleep outside in your car or in one of his guestrooms. You can use the kitchen and hang out in the livingroom. Prices : sleeping in your car: 4 usd pp and sleeping in the guestroom 8 usd pp, all including a nice simple breakfast.

It’s best to let him now when you arrive, since he might be at his shop. His number +98 915 585 1517 - call, SMS, Telegram or Whatsapp.

Be sure to leave something for his overland museum ;).

Walled and gated dirt parking lot with very helpful family running it living on the premises. It is dusty but also can be used for short term parking. We used it in late May of 2018 for short term parking while living in it, then left our Mercedes Sprinter there for 6 months. It has potable city water and they can wash your vehicle. Water pressure for potable water is low during day. Rough toilet with no seat. It’s called Garaje Alfredo (Phone: +51 984 135 789) and has 24 hour access. HUGE open Mercado (every day) four blocks away. We paid five Soles per day (short and long term) for a Mercedes Sprinter van. When we returned in December of 2018, the van was quite dusty but virtually as we had left it. The local police (3 blocks away) were very responsive in doing the inspection for acquiring the vehicle suspension permit and SUNAT located near the Plaza De Armas was exceptionally helpful. Family speaks Spanish only. I left them with the complete instructions for acquiring the permit to leave the vehicle.
