There are many place to camp around here, we were here in winter and the place was deserted. Not sure what it would be like in summer. There are water taps around and a toilet which was locked when we were there. Good mobile phone signal.

Nice place, different to many others as this is at the shore of a laguna with barely any tides, no waves and mangroves along the bay. Oyster cages are being tended by a local fisher family.
Sandy road in but good driving. Spot is quiet and peaceful, but does have a little garbage strewn everywhere. .

BLM campground at a slightly developed hot spring. No frills, but great area, especially in winter. Little shade so probably hot in summer? Great pool for soaking & dark skys for stargazing. Broad network or dirt roads in surrounding area for gravel & mountain biking. Scenery is broad open rolling plains with scattered buttes. Drive up from south passes through attractive canyon along creek.

This is the beginning of the Fuya Fuya hike to the top of the south facing peak. Panoramic views at the top. Wonderful hike, but gets steep towards the end. Bring poles if you have them, or grippy hiking shoes.

Beautiful hotel with traditional restaurant. Rooms with or without bathroom. Room with bathroom is 2 Mio (18$ in Dec 2018).
Motorbikes and Bicycles park in front of the rooms in the yard. They have a big parking outside.

Great little place in downtown, you'll only fit in with a small trailer or camper - we would think max 30 feet.
Hot showers and clean bathroom.
Wifi comes and goes, close to a cell tower.

This place had the first doctor of town in the 1800 living here, distant family to the owner now.

Right across petrol refinery. Great lunch and cheap. All the workers come here to eat. Lovely lady Nelly who owns the place offered us to stay overnight.

with hundred of Kms of nothing, this yellow building is my lifesaver from wind. I don't know what it is used for but it is next to a river. definitely not residential

it was weekend, no one was there working thus I camped on shed behind. probably u can try asking workers for permission if they are there working on weekdays

We were lucky, they also had potato and cabbage today.

Barebones hotel, felt clean and nicely run. Motel style, park in front of the room. 500 pesos. No compaints at all.

We didn’t had any military posts on this road today. We drove from Ouesso towards Point Noir. We had only one policeman asking for money for registration. We told him that it js forbidden for us to pay policeman, he gave up quit easy.

Indeed a fantastic new road. We came from Ouesso and that road is also fantastic except the last 50km to this point. More hole then road and some parts the road is completly gone (I prefer dirt roads instead of these deep potholes parts)

The shop with only original Mayan artesaniales without gringo price. Strongly recommended!

This place has a free dump station behind the building by the dumpster in the back. Just take your drivers license in to get the key. No water.

Un vrai petit coin de paradis, calme et tranquille. Les enfants se sont baigné dans la rivière. Il y a des tables et barbecue à disposition. Sigsig est un village très agréable, paisible et il y a un beau marché le dimanche. A recommander.

A real little paradise, calm and quiet. The children bathed in the river. There are tables and barbecue available. Sigsig is a very nice, peaceful village and there is a nice Sunday market. To recommend.

New prices. $250 pppn, children under 5 are half price. Lovely place, very nice owner. Tell in advance that you were recommended by iOverlander and get discount to $230 pppn. This can change in future, so check website!

Small but great restaurant in a tiny village

We arrived during the afternoon and nobody was there, we tried knocking the gate with no luck. After some minutes a man told us that the owner lives just in front of the place, so, we ring the bell of the house and fortunately the owner was there. (Is the black house just in front of the gate)

The place is very nice and quiet, we were there alone for two days checking and cleaning our truck.

We recommend send a message before arriving.

very beautiful surrounding, and fun little town on 5 minute walk. The lady that runs the place (not the owner) was very nice, let us use the kitchenette so we could cook up some fried eggs. 20000 per person per night, we tried to get it down but no luck. Recommended non the less!
