stephanopoly | One of our favorite places in the Mohave. Nice and open and secluded. We had the place to ourselves for most of our 5 days here. We made it in fine with our 2wd van. |

jay_heron1 | Decent hotel with attached restaurant. Not much in this town, and typical of Southern Chile prices.

jille86 | clean, quiet, still 50p per person for an overnight stay. Couldn't find the hot springs river or weren't allowed into it? Drove to where we thought it was and the guy didn't let us pass...we don't know enough Spanish to fully understand what was up. Anyways it was a nice place to pass a night. |

Mike | Staying at the Sam Club side. Security Sais no problems, they want tourist. Police came to check things out and asked me to move and park on the top part of the parking lot, they said they will do the round once in a while at night. Security came back after and was glad we stayed and also that we talked to the police. |

m.babey | Nothing straight forward ... leaving Costa Rica and entering Nicaragua took 3hours. The Nicaraguans had not much to do to so they did everything very slow by involving numerous people ... explaining there are new rules to cross the country ... cost unchanged |

atlaspetcompany.com | Kind of a random spot if you think about it, but dang the water was fresh! About 4 other people pulled up behind us to fill up their containers as well so it’s definitely a common/popular spot even with the odd location right off the highway. Water flows fast so fill up was quick and definitely worth the stop! |

Adriaan&Isabelle | On this very last day of the high season, some of the facilities are a bit tired. The showers are lukewarm and dispense little water, there's not enough water in the pool, one (of the two) mens toilets doesn't flush and the WiFi is unusably slow. The sites are cramped. We had noisy neighbors (which were evicted). The daytime campsite (next to the pool) is setup very nicely: hammocks, roofs for shade, BBQs: the works. The owner is welcoming and cooperative. Price was 150 per person and 150 per site (per night), cash only (for foreigners). |

hinomadmartin | After all the good reviews we decided to stop looking for a place to drop our tent. After asking several times they offered us a messy spot for 3500 pp. or a shared room for 6500 pp. that we couldn’t see because they said it was not clean yet. ( 5 pm). As it seems Villa Ortega is right at the moment overbooked with all the road workers. For us defenitely not worth the stop. We finally landed in Coyhaique. |

micl | This is the old mill mentioned in the Lonely Planet. Built in 1790 apparently restored in 2006 but somewhat dilapidated. You can get inside if you go to the left of the building and through the second (brown) double doors (the first doors are to someone’s lounge). Not worth going out of your way for. |

thewayoverland | We had a very quiet night here after watching the sunset at Savitri Point. The temperature is noticeably cooler here due to the elevation.

irishnomads.com | Stopped for fuel - great cafe with delicious pies for <100pesos. Microwave to heat stuff up and they were ok with us heating our own instant noodles. Hot water dispenser if you want to make your own coffee - 3pesos. Large separate dining room that you can sit and use, WiFi worked well. Refilled all our water from the potable water tap (another marker for this on the map). |

goneforadrive.com | We stayed 2 nights in this quiet and lovely area, but not exactly on the mentioned spot. Our spot (26.734726, 55.697748) was visible from the parking place so some tourists passed visiting the valley. |

instagram.com/windham_t | Nice reception lady let me park my moto behind the gates across the street. Locked at night. 500 for a dorm room per night and 400 for a load of laundry. It’s an ok deal for this town but the rooms are small and the WiFi isn’t amazing. I would stay again |

boldpedals.wordpress.com | We did the loop hike to the upper falls, guide is compulsory. Paid 60C per person's which I think is rather expensive and you pay the guide what you want at the end, we gave him 40C as he was excellent. He's Edmond, the same guy who runs the great restaurant just accross the street, he didn't ask for more and was super polite and pleasant all the time, just ask for him! The hike is quite steep and the descent is especially tricky, but amazing views and the falls are totally worth it. Lower falls are just as good but more people. |

fruit_loop | If you want to feel like as one of the main character in a Fast and the Furious movie this is the place to go! A lot of fools driving and shouting around with really loud cars on a Tuesday night, until 2am in the morning. Even two cars parked right next and behind us and began to show each other how great their motors sound. Worst night we ever spend at a gas station in south america.
