Just a stone throw away from Snoopy Island - a snorkling hotspot - you find some resorts. The beaches between these resorts are public and camping is allowed. You can park right on the sand, 5 meters from the sea.

The friendly beach security guy came over a couple of times. Wonderful quiet spot and you’re swimming between coral and colourful fish!

Drive over the gravel and down to the beach. You’re hidden from the road since the beach is located a bit lower.

not the cleanest hostel but dog friendly, has parking with no height restriction and is next to the Land Rover mechanic.
the breakfast is just a sandwich, some cereals and instant coffee.
if we'd stay here again, we would not take a room but camp in the car. its a quiet enough neighborhood for that.

French Beach is private. The parking is called Engro beach and it is quit busy with beggars and donkey, camel and horse-ride selkers, and dirty. The sea has weird colors, I would not stick as much as a finger in it.

We got permission to stay one night at French Beach, but I think this is an exception.

Nice hostal with a garage, fast wifi and comfortable beds. Very, very clean. One of the better ones we had in Peru. Price for a matrimonial is 45 soles, bargaining not possible. Make sure you get a room with window to the patio, otherwise it can be quite loud I guess. We had a calm night.

We arrived late at this village and we found this place for sleep.
Quiet, nobody here. We asked locals people if it was possible to sleep here and they said « yes sure ». Not dangerous, perfect for one night.

A large free car park in Cordoba next to what seems to be a construction site- it is marked on google as free parking but doesn’t always come up.
There are no amenities but as parking in Cordoba seems to be a bit of a hassle I would say it’s pretty good and quiet for a night or too!

This is the right location for San Raymundo!
This is a coffee plantation where they run a small public "aqua park" with 3 nice pools and restaurant. You can park into the park, it's very nice and comfortabla. The amenities are very basic, but you can connect to water. They are very nice people, you can also see how they process the coffee. Just follow the road after the church, it will end here. Best place to have a rest, after/before the border!

I live in the town of Hot Sulphur Springs and wanted to share that the campsites are no longer free, but fee based with a 14 day limit. HOWEVER, there is free BLM land not far from these campgrounds up a dirt road that is passable in summer, but can be sketchy during mud seasons and impassable in winter. The campground is only open Spring-Fall. Yes, there is a loud train that comes by several times a day, but it adds to the charm of the place :). Right along the CO river it is simply beautiful! There is a nice restaurant in town a two minute walk from the campground called The Dean Public House. Food is amazing and staff is super friendly! There is also a small liquor store a short walk from the campground as well that stays open until 10pm. The gas station in town is a good place to get water.

Alright place, still camping on a grassy lot behind the hotel.
We paid 300 P per night.
Primitive bathroom, but hot water.
We had a bit of road noise doing the night, not to bad.
Looks like they once had a great campsite, but it's all overgrown now.
Electric was fine.
They do have a dump spot, didn't find any running water.

Amazing place. Very happy to please me which is not easy - as a gluten free vegan 😁. Owner came to my table and in perfect English explained several options I could consider. All basically custom made. I was in for breakfast - settled on chilechiles , beans and potatoes. So good. So sad to leave Baja and head north. But my tummy is full.

Why not stay in tortugas bay? Looks much nicer than this town, although i did not see the ruins or mueums.

50s private room private bath, fan, tv and secure indoor parking for motos, 1-2 cars. Friendly owners/family. Grandma gave me a glass of juice as i was unloading the moto. There is a great looking covered bar area on the roof- huge! Looks like it has pool tables...but was not open when i was here.

Some locals recommended this mechanics, because he has one of the few diesel scanners in the city. He was unable to diagnose our failure in the injection system for 3 days. He give us poor attention, constantly coming and going out the workshop. He changed, and charged us, an expensive fuel pressure sensor which did not solve the problem, and refused to take it back. Avoid this person and go to Estevan Termomecanica or, if you are able, drive to Bahia Blanca for more options and availability of spare parts.

large paved rv park that easily holds big rigs. 300 per night, 280 for 8-30 nights, 260 for one month or more. very few RVs present even during high season and many many spaces available. very nice to finally have working 30 amp electric to run the AC. bad part is it's a 30 minute drive to zihua. they recently changed the policy to not allow dogs but might give you an exception for a small dog that mostly stays in the RV. very little shade. 24 hour security. they also allow tent camping for 70 pesos per person.

land rover defender td5; had our brake pads and brake fluid replaced. we bought filters for our car as well.
also we had a strange noise coming from the a/c compressor, they pointed us to a good a/c technician who fixed the issue (bearing gone, he found a matching one and replaced it)
