Around 600 m after entering the road to Boysun, on your left side you will see a dirt road entrance. There are plenty of space to pitch a tent (after cleaning some thorns on the ground) or to stop cars and caravans. We were by bike and it was easy to push it around to find a good place. There are no trees and sometimes it is quite windy, but the place is very calm and there is a nice sunset with mountains view.

Very professional and friendly. Only one girl speaks English and is happy to translate. We bought 5 new bf Goodrich tyres here and they helped to sell our old tyres on the market.

Very nice place with nine food trucks that offers different kinds of food. We trust the mechados and its very delicious and cheap! Super recommended

the coffee was indeed good, but the breakfasts were overpriced and average. ordered an "almond granola with fresh fruit and natural yogurt" for 18 soles and got the cheapest cereal you can get in the market, banana and yogurt.

We were not blocked at the gate, they let us drive to reception.

We wanted to ski for 2 days and stay 3 nights. After a short negotiation they allowed us to camp at the backpackers hut (inside our big rig, not a tent) if we paid the price of 1 bed in the dorm (325 p2ppn). No power point outside but we could use the toilets/showers in there and there is power inside.

Diesel and petrol. Just down the road is a standard bank ATM for cash, there is even a Pep in this town. Friendly guys.

Manuel is a very good, trustworthy and very helpfull car mechanic. His workshop is simple but his skills exceeded our expectations. VW fan and enjoys what he does. Is very knowledgable where to find spare parts, within Costa Rica or different car model. If not available in the country Manuel in many cases finds a local guy to fabricate it before having to order them from abroad. VW Oldtimer owners come from San Jose to work on them. Has a passion to restore Combis, Vanagon and Syncros.

You can camp on the workshop grounds. We were offered water and shower and could even do our laundry. As you can see very, very helpfull but please be gratefull.

Parking place behind the shrine under trees

A very nice and quit place and perfect for put the tent.
Nobody more just a pair of cars has arrived and visit de place and have gone.

Two officers came around 10pm saying it is forbidden to be overnight camping in the city and that we had to leave.
Otherwise the spot is very nice, with picnic tables, fire pit, shower and water to drink. Definitely worth to stop to eat or relax at the beach.

all info still correct. Won $50 with our free money so had drinks and dinner on the house.

Beautiful place to spend the night, you can park next to the river with a nice view!
There was a baseball game going on in the late evening and some teenagers hanging out and some loud boats on the river, so it was quite noisy in evening but calm at night and in the morning.
WiFi wasn't really fast...

flat, grassland set away from the road, though visible from it. very peaceful location with great scenery around. No phone signal. No facilities. Accessed via small track off the road at 32^53'59.98" 77^33'12.26"

We saw the signs no overnight RV entering the parking lot. We asked the lady at the costumer service and she said that there was no problem to park for the night. The signs are there because the city ask for it. We were at least 5 RV to stay for the night.

Nice little rest stop with lots of picnic tables, toilets and a wooded area right off the 20. Despite being beside the highway, wasn’t too noisy. Signs say no camping and only 2 hour parking, but we slept here one night without being bothered.

Nice view, good price. We paid 15k for two adults and a kid. Basic utilities, no hot water. It was a great stop to Atacama.

Clothing store in case you need anything during the transchaco trip. Rosita was really nice and helpful. Cheap and good clothes

In the morning a custom car came and we left fast so that we won’t get a ticket.

No sign of any water factory here. It's a remote mountain road with a small restaurant. I'm guessing this post was a mistake.

This is now the tourism office where they want you to sign in and pay S/10 each for the hike. We went to the other dot first but it's a hotel and they told us to come here instead. No need for keys anymore.

only €8 24hrs. just a carpark, but handy to old town and fortress. dump, water and power available.
