Zero humans but I did watch a gigantic herd of elk flee when I pulled my air brake. There's a watering hole just a hundred or so yards away so probably will see more wildlife. I wouldn't dare come if there is a chance of rain/snow, ruts and deep tracks are plentiful as evidence of mud. The road is mostly dirt, very little rock, no sand. I'd suggest high clearance at least, I made it in a 30' skoolie w/o any issues. There are several spots with fire rings, even more up the road. Fairly strong Verizon signal. I'm the only rig here but it's Monday, give it time lol. Oh and the road from Camp Verde, 260 I think, is good but there are a few challenging climbs (for fellow skoolies w/an AT545 tranny :)

Very pretty place, but you will have neighbors. Good for water activities, but not so much for hiking or biking. Fair Verizon signal at south end of cove.

Checked this place out but didn’t stay. Entrance gate says park closes at sunset and there’s a no camping sign inside the park. Not sure if this place is monitored but there is a gate at the entrance that could be locked at some point. Didn’t bother taking a chance on being rousted.

5$ for dump station, no rinse water. Potable water on west side of building. Could probably get water for free if you aren’t using the dump station

Mostly flat, vaguely level campsites, has a portapotty and a dumpster.

It seems like it would be a nice spot, but it’s got cones across the entrance and a notice of closure valid until May 27, 2021. It’s not just prohibiting camping, it prohibits even being present on the site. There’s quite a few more spots to overnight nearby, so it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience.

Site is bordered by the river. Portajohns and dumpsters. No water, no fees. Pics on NF site show a lot of people in the water.

There's a springhill Upper as well, same story.

parked here for fishing, saw that it allowed overnight camping when we were there. Looked it up on NFS site when we got home.

Stayed the night here. Just so happened to be a windy night but otherwise fine. There were other people in 3 cars in the lot, probably some youth who all wanted to meet up and tired of the lockdown measures lol. They left within 10 minutes of our arrival. We had the lot all to ourselves. Really quiet place to stay. Just be discreet.

Quiet little park in a quiet little town. We parked our 40' skoolie here for one night and shared it with one other person car camping. Super chill spot right off of I-40, two minute walk to a convenience store and a two minute drive to a killer Indian restaurant just on the north side of I-40. No fuss, no stress.

This is free camping in the Saguaro National Park. It is up a mountain road. The road is rough but we made it in a Nissan Rogue and we saw smaller cars than us make it up the road. The first time we came was on a Friday and it was packed. We came again on Sunday and a few spots had opened up. No facilities and a good deal of traffic, but the view is spectacular. We had okay signal through Cricket.

Stayed 1 night. Pretty quiet. Lots of open flat space on either side of the road just before the bridge to the Salinas River State Park lot. The state park lot has a couple portapotties. Woke to a beautiful sunrise. The River views were amazing and we walked to the beach in the morning. So pretty! You’re on the edge of a residential community also so we kept things real quiet and left early so we didn’t stress the neighbors out.

Big flat area (source of stone for road building). There is some wind protection near walls, but be carefull, stones are falling down all the time. Not so windy like in open valley, but still always a bit windy (too windy for roof tent) Accessible for all types of vehicles. No mobile signal.

This is a really nice place with the dog park right there. The bathrooms were closed (out of order), but the paved parking lot has lots of lighting and we had no issues staying the night in our van. We have Verizon phone service and we are getting full bars on both our phones. We are planning on staying there another night.

Changing my review. We went today. You have to pull down on the bottom water outlet for it to come out the hose connector.

Water flow seemed to slow down a ton after the first 10-15gal. But free water in this area seems rare.
