Beautiful view, slept in my car, I was the only one in the pull off. Woke to the sounds of seals. Drove 2 min south to Jenner in the morning to use the water spigot/bathrooms near the visitors center picnic tables.

Italian take-away. They do only one dish each day: we had a delicious gnocci bolognese (6000 CLP) but check the sign outside what’s on the menu today. And they have all kinds of desserts.

Lugar tranquilo para passar a noite. Enchemos o tanque, não nos cobraram para pernoitar. R$5 a ducha fria.

A lovely campsite, great lake view, lots of birds, colubus monkeys.
Electricity point is available only the common area which means we had to camp near it and not under the lovely trees.
Toilets and showers are no so good, so two days was enough for us.

Parked trailer at end of arroyo road but lighter rigs with 4WD could drive north to palapas on beach. North cove had good snorkeling but south had amazing show of breaching humpback whales and rays. Fisherman with scales will sell catch of the day.

nice spot on a large white gravel parking lot near a restaurant and the river.
perfect for big rigs (50 pesos per night per adult)
good point : hot showers and toilet paper in the toilets
bad point : the pools in the river are nice, but not easy to get in and out. not recommended for kids because of the current.

It is a friendly place to stay in Deerfield.
We spent two nights there.
The only problem was a rooster gang (chickens) that screamed all night.
I know, it's unbelievable, but it's true.

Inka and Jörg are super friendly and helpful (They speak German, Spanish, English, Swiss, Italian and French!). The campsite was clean, save and we finally have clean laundry again 👌🏻 We stayed with our 4x4 with a rooftop tent and were abled to stay in the shade under the palmtrees. The kids enjoyed the pool. We spend 2 nights and the price was absolutely worth it. Danke Euch Inka und Jörg!

Asked to camp here and the answer was no. Had to find something else with two crying toodlers in the backseat.

This is such a nice place! Well cared for, quiet, very close to town. When we arrived, Juan brought us fresh scallop ceviche and tostada's to eat at the tables under the trees. We could park our trucks wherever we wanted and he even let us give them a wash since there is no water shortage here. Everything else is as already described.

Previous travelers have summed it up well. The gps coordinates listed here take you to the northern entrance of the BLM land. This entrance is best suited for longer and wider rigs. If you have a van or other narrow vehicle you can turn right just after mile post 6 and start your hunt there. The mid southern entrance is a little rougher and closer to the hillside that the shooters use for a backstop. Also seems to be a bit more trash here. Overall better to go as far north as you can since the sites are cleaner and the gunshots more distant. Options abound.

Lots of cactus here so watch your step and your pets. Good cell service. Would visit again.

Works for a night. Far enough from the highway that noise isn't too bad.

Poor but functional Verizon 4G coverage.

For $39 you get a piece of grass to set up your tent, nothing else. You must use the BLM maintained bathrooms across the street, no WiFi (unless you want to pay for that too)or trees. Such a ripoff. Very windy place and not that charming of a town.

Punta Vida does have a shower, but it’s probably better to use for rinsing your feet. I used it, but this place is really a new awesome bar with four Oaxaca locals that have been friends since high school. There’s no option to list a bar on ioverlander so I’m labeling it a beach shower.

Punta Vida is one of the best, most relaxed places I’ve watched sunset in Puerto Escondido. I love it here. I’m very excited to see this place do well. Please stop in for a beer to show them some love!!!

Cheers all

Nice bay, pretty well protected from north winds and probably south as well, very popular. Road is good. Stop at the ranch (at the streetlight) see José for fresh vegetables, eggs and goat cheese and bring chocolate for his niños!
