Quiet for the most part. Cash only. The pay station is next to the bathroom/camp host. Parked in spot #2, back in shady spot next to the river and it was lovely. Walking and biking trails here too. Arrived in the morning and only 4 spots were available to chose from. First come first serve. 14 day max. $15 a day. Flush toilets closed at this time but there are porta potty’s.

Free sani dump and filtered potable water. Can't see how they could close it (no gate) so assume open 24 hours.

This is the visitors centre. $25/vehicle to enter if you don’t have an Annual Park Pass. All the fossils are up at the Quarry Exhibit. Great for kids, ask for junior park ranger workbook & badge. Go early & avoid crowds.

great large camp, great Verizon coverage, road in good condition, it is next to a ranch camp across a wash but no biggie. one of the nicest quick stops off the highway in our 2wd van we've had in Arizona! beautiful juniper and we left a good luck charm somewhere around the camp if you find it post a picture!

Beautiful spot to stop for lunch! It’s very exposed for overnight parking but I doubt there would be any trouble.

Propane refill for $3.40. They also have showers. Probably can find a water spigot too but I didn’t need water so I didn’t look around.

Had a quiet night at the Flyers Brewery for Harvest Hosts in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island, WA last night (if anyone wants more info or pics of that....message me). The area was jammed packed with people getting outdoors. So, Took Rt. 20 East to the North Cascades National Park, even though I knew the road was still closed at the passes due to snow cover. I was more than happy to get away from everyone saturating the coast and and alot of folks have told me what a beautiful, jaw dropping ride it is up to the mountains. Spoke to some locals when I filled up my propane tank (yes its still cold up here) and they said they have heard the pass will be open this Wed or Thursday, so I may just hang out around this area and wait. It's a beautiful area, Lake Diablo and it's stunning clear turquoise colored water is right up the road and 2 other NP campgrounds are open or partially open on this side of the pass...and are free to stay in till May 15th and are first come first served!! I'm at Goodall Creek Campground, in a spacious spot (18), right on the pristine Skagit River. What a spot. I'm even getting a little production from my solar! Old growth, moss covered forest everywhere....just as you would expect it to look like in Washington State. Campground is pretty much empty, even though there are only 19 spots. After May 15, you can reserve online and of course pay the fee...which I think is 20 bucks a night. Most spots look level, but some definitely aren't and some are very small best suited for tents. If you have a big 40' rig...you are likely going to be out of luck...maybe only 1 or 2 spots would fit ya. Saw a couple fresh water fill stations, couple pit toilets 🚻, boat launch and a community day use picnic area. There was also 1 large handicapped pull through campsite. Each site has a picnic table, 🔥 ring and 🐻 📦. VZW is a steady 3 bars of 4G and no issues with the internet. AT&T on the other hand is at 1 bar, and internet access is sketchy. No TV at all. No radio either.

When you get to these coordinates, you can go left to camping area or go straight to a small gravel parking Lot. As we were pulling a trailer, we opted to go straight as we could turn around easier. There are actually 3 parking areas. see photo

Filled up here at the pay water kiosk outside the grocery store. A 7 gallon jug fits perfectly inside. $2 for 5 gallons and 40 cents for 1 gallon. Takes a credit card but there’s an extra 1 cent fee we transaction.

May 2021- $8, not recommanded to Class A, or RVs that are towing a car since we have to back up to get close to the dump. Not a lot of room when many cars are fueling..

Stayed here several nights while in the marfa/alpine/big bend area. Checked with the employee in the store and she confirmed it was fine to stay overnight. Huge lot with room for plenty of rigs. I was the only van each night but lots of tractor trailers. With my vent fan on, couldn’t hear any noise and slept great. Excellent cell service on both T-Mobile and AT&T.

Virou área de estacionamento proibido. Estão multando. Sorte que fui pegar algo na kombi e o guarda me falou que tinha muita gente estacionando e por isso tornaram proibido.

We pitched our tent inside the park. The venue has several swimmingpools and slides. Many tables and hammocks as well. Music during the day, quiet and safe at night.

We could camp for only 60 cordoba per person which is the entrance fee. We also ordered some food.

Street parking in front.

As the name suggests, this is a restaurant where you can eat healthy food for a very affordable price. Hard to find such a thing along the road in Nicaragua.
Fruit and veggie (milk)shakes, bananaburgers, burritos and more.
A happy change in menu after eating gallo pinto for days

Talked to some locals who said it was ok but some random lady came and put flyers saying they’d tow at 11am, maybe she worked for the tow company? But big trailers and school busses would be hard to tow haha. Anyway prob best not to stay

Had plans to stay here for a week. But when we got there we noticed the swarms of mosquitoes, which was a no-go for us. But for those who don't mind the swarms at the time of year we went, there are picnic shelters and restrooms. The lake looked nice, and it was in the area of Boysen Reservoir but without the price tag.

best time of the year to come here is now (April-May). after negotiation (and paying efectivo) we paid 400 peso per night with 3 kids.
