seraphinvetter | Excellent and newly built resort on a really nice stretch of beach. Super nice atmosphere. We stayed for a full week and enjoyed every day of it. You can go snorkeling just at the beach or they can arrange a boat trip to a small nearby island. 25 min walk from the main village on the island. Every couple of weeks there is live music from local artists and a big local party going on. Don't miss that!
Spotless beachfront ensuite chalets with breakfast (coffee/tea, eags & toast) from 25'000MKW per room.

ourfulltimeadventure | Path getting in here were a bit “short” and right but it was all worth it. We’re 11ft 11inches tall and we were just fine. Gets a little loud at night with locals coming in and out but that’s fine. Just turn some white noise on. Free free free free palapas YouTube- @ourfulltimeadventure

ourfulltimeadventure | This place water super good. Water was yummy. Guy tried to charge us 200 peso for like 100 liters when it’s been a peso a liter the whole time we have been down here. Told him that and he adjusted the price accordingly YouTube- @ourfulltimeadventure

katherineletts | Blockade(s) in this area. Imagine the two lane highway as a parking lot and then multiply that by 4 because the sides of the road are also filled with cars parked every direction. Semi-trucks we’re not allowed to pass through, but vehicles were able to very very slowly trickle through. Police presence tried to organize the traffic. They had shields and there were higher tensions at the actual blockade point. Expect long delays. |

Oberon | Beautiful spot tucked out of sight of the road. Only downside is it's close enough to the road that you definitely hear occasional cars passing at night. I hadn't heard of Backus Woods before, but it's the largest remaining tract of old-growth Carolinian forest in Ontario. So walking through the woods is highly recommended, and be aware that it's a sensitive protected wetland. |

grizzly.overland | Nice family run informal campground.
We saw a pair of wild macaws and spider monkeys eating right from the tree next to the camper, heard the howler monkeys everyday but they didn't visit. Road here is doable with big rigs, even semis drive it. Just bumpy with some gravel sections and lots of potholes.

We came from Pichicuy beach. Our Dog was bitten by two German shepherds. So we came in case the open wound needed some stitches... they were very friendly and professional! We really recommend them! |

Simbali-Expedition | we came back ! in our way down to the south! Even better than the last time ! Nobody else staying even during Friday night! we stayed two nights....last night around 1am Carabineros pass by... didn't say anything... maybe the first night as well but we were sleeping a little bit earlier haha 😂. The lady charging for parking during the day is not working in low season even during weekends! Be aware most of the shops closed during low season.... |

hourlesslife.com | We did not do any horse rides; we just went to camp. No charge other than patronizing the restaurant—and we also bought pool passes which were essentially a requirement with the heat. Lots of friendly locals there for the day, including kids for our son to play with. We were told we could park “anywhere” out front, and we snagged a nice private spot under a tree. Private and quiet, until the morning when it turns out the huge horse tour group gathered on our “back porch.” Haha. |

annendhai | We found out that this place is a bit run down. The views are great but the coffee finca looks unkempt. We where able to stay at one place up close to the road, close to the really basic but clean bathrooms. The second place is down, more close to the coffee trees but far away from the bathrooms. This place has a stunning few. Unfortunately there is a tree with branches that doesn't allowed us to get down there. |

thehilltopadventures.com | The nicest place we have visited along Lake Malawi by far and also our favourite place from 6 months of travelling around Southern Africa. It is like paradise. Crystal clear water, with loads of colourful fish, golden sandy beaches enclosed by large granite outcrops which create a very secluded feel, and provide lots of targets to swim out to rocks which you can dive off. There are also 2 canoes which you can borrow for free and explore. The bird and butterfly life around the chalets is spectacular. We spent 4 nights here, and regretted not staying longer.

kelwill | Amazing place to camp! Narrow road around the dam but doable with patience for making room for other cars. Also a few stuck cars in the beach area, probably best to stay on main tracks. Great access to hikes nearby. |
