They do accept campers, but you need to join the hostel guests for breakfast and dinner. Also you park outside the fence without shade.

The Maiden Voyage of the Camping House! We boondock camped with Brian and Shelly Bresnahan at an apparent shooting range, Cooper collected spent ammunition as "Treasures". The high temp 66° with a low of 31° and sustained winds speeds at about 18MPH with some lulls and large gusts. Ian and Brian went on a 10mi EBike ride and Coop, Shelly, and I went on a hike up the rock formations where we saw a lizard and found a horse shoe! Brian and shelly came over and we played a few hands of Kings Corner. We spent the first night in the trailer and it was awesome, being warm and having a bathroom available to use without having to put on shoes and get a flashlight!

JOLIENS REST CAMP @ ARIAMSVLEI

We simply had a superb experience with the excellent service we received from the owners, Johan and Sarolina. Apart from their well established Lodge (chalets and campsite), they have a restaurant, bar, butchery, bakery, basic groceries, where they sell just about everything you need upon entering Namibia. They also assisted us with a Namibian sim card and airtime (data), as well as wood. Ultra clean ablutions, hot water, flushing toilets.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Nice and quiet, not bothered at all. Several other full size rvs and vans.

Flat salt area, 4x4 required. Amazing landscape, not too much shelter from wind. From the route 186, you get on a secondary road that seems to go into the lake/salt flat, and when you start to get close to this pin, you will see at your right a small flat place where you can park. I used Maps.me to follow the secondary road exiting route 186.

Remote dispersed camping in the State Park. Easy drive into site 1, gets more off camber and high centered to get into site 2. Reservation permit required. Verizon LTE here. Mostly severe washboard roads in. Fire box and picnic table. Pack your 💩 out. The camps along the river are more scenic. Although 25 some miles, this site was 1.5+ hour from the pavement.

Slept in the Hannaford's parking lot, one other van was there too. Not sure what their rules are for overnight parking but I didn't get bothered. Fairly quite spot.

Spent a quiet night on west side of the park under a lamp post. Police passed a few time, no issue. Trash big on site, no services. Good cell coverage.

Large pull off of southbound Hwy1. Plenty of room for several vehicles. We felt totally safe as two women in a sprinter van. Would stay here again!

We stayed 2 nights here and absolutely loved it. We saw quite a few dolphins and went out paddle boarding. It’s also very nice for fires as there is lots of drift wood. No cell service.

Very well equipped YPF and very clean. We parked round the back on a little grassy area that was fenced/walled on three sides so felt secure
Just make sure you park far enough back as unfortunately our van was bumped into by another car trying to get out of the small building next to the grassy area. Partly our fault for not leaving enough space, partly their fault for not being able to drive properly... Very minor scratch to the bumper so no harm no foul.
Water tap can be found next to the hot water machine on the forecourt right next to the grassy area. Recommended place of rest for the night in San Rafael.
Great 4g Movistar and Claro signal.

Stayed two nights. Very clean well kept campground as one would expect in National Monument. I appreciated the recycling dumpsters, running water bathroom. No tent pads at most sites. Luckily our site was level. We stayed two nights.
