Found that awesome place directly at the beach of Lake Tanganyika. It’s a bar/restaurant with a big beautiful garden, a little paradise south of Bujumbura.

Charles, the owner, kindly allowed me to stay at the beach. You can cook your own food or use the restaurant. Basic toilets are there as well. Otherwise no facilities but they are constantly working to make improvements.

The whole team was amazing, great hospitality! If you need something - the try to organize it for you. If you are traveling Burundi that’s a place to be

Very nice Special Campsite at the lakeshore. No facilities. Some rubbish on the beach, but not too bad.
Plenty of birdlife! Pied Kingfishers and Pelicans fishing right in front of us. Some hippos around, so unsuitable for swimming.
No lights visible at night. We saw nobody except a few fishermen in the distance although it was weekend.
Great place to relax.
Paid 20 USD pppn (non-res), NO reservation fee, entrance fee 22 USD pp. Currently no credit cards accepted.
Good Safaricom 4G signal

Do not, do not do this without 4x4 and high clearnce. The road is very very terrible. We are in a land cruiser and got stuck at some points. Do not do this in the rain. We are going 5 km per hour on a sunny day

Great place. Beautiful location at river. Well kept. Nice fire in eve and morning in common place. Clean bathrooms. Friendly management. We checked out several other places in area, this one was definitely the best.

Stayed here last night. Only 2 - 3 other RVs. Fairly quiet. There’s also a Cash Magic gas and casino across the street with free parking.

Directly off forestry no real cover for passing vehicles and privacy. Quiet night only here, enough room for 4-5 vans. 2 wheel drive can make it. Not recommend for Rv’s or 5th wheels. Established fire pit, check outside fire laws for warmer months. 2 bars Verizon with out boost. About 5 miles off 101. Grocery store is maybe 5-7 miles. Off road camping no amenities.

Closed in public at the moment but KSA is preparing something extraordinary here on the grounds of where the first Saudi state was and it was destroyed by the Ottomans. This is just a point of entry here

Do not try to take this off-road track going to the water. It leads to unmarked mine fields as you will receive a sms from mine agency.

we could not access the spot from the road as the trees have grown too much and kinda block the road. still possible to access but you will scratch your car. nice places accessible for bikepackers. There is still possibility to camp with your car there but no as close to the beach as spotted.

Definitely still fine.

I even saw a cop do a round, who didn't bother anyone.

I've read reviews elsewhere of this camping area getting crowded and rowdy. We went during a relatively chilly weekend in early April and had no trouble finding a spot. It was quiet, private, and beautiful. I can see however how that may be very different during warmer months.

The campground is very easily accessible and has no facilities other than garbage bins. There is no gate.

great little hotel and beach. like others have said its inside a walled compound and has security. the beach is very soft so 4x4 is advised. restaurant is open. the ex mayor of mollendo is the owner so it's well known and secure. camp or park with comfort and security.

not exactly an overlander's dream, but the location on the lake is beautiful and the owners are very friendly, but the bathrooms desperately need some updating, and the showers are cold (they hot water is wood fired, and it was very quiet when we were there)

A very long Honeymoon

A very nice place next to Cocos Palms and the Ocean. If you drive behind the bushes, its not visible from the road. Calm. Twice there were friendly locals that walked the beach with their dogs, for the rest we didn't see anyone. No facilities, no cell service. Sprinter or even a slightly bigger rig could fit (but all streets in this area are quite narrow). Unfortunately lots of seaweed and trash like everwhere on this coast south of Mahahual. I wouldn't drive down South for this spot because of that reason but if you are near anyways and need a place to sleep, this one is great.

Great little place to spend the night on the Eastside of Guadalajara. Gas station is small but allowed us to park to class a RVs 40 foot plus. Was bright and safe but noisy.

we stopped just a little short of the GPS coordinates because it was getting dark and there were several spots to choose from along the way. Some mild traffic noise and some far off coyotes. early in the evening, some off-roaders drove by. beautiful sunrise and sunset views. not the best place for dogs to run free due to sharp ground and potential coyotes. GREAT Verizon service. the dirt road to get to this close spot was flat and well maintained.

We had excellent food here. One of the best Milanesa and Lasagne so far... We had to wait a while for the food but it was all freshly cooked.

It’s a spot to stay for the night if it gets dark. It’s a gas station but enough other trucks that it feels secure.
