sandyjohn1995 | Excellent spot for an overnight as we were traveling on I-70: conveniently located with easy access to interstate (dirt road into camp area was very smooth) yet far enough away from loud traffic noise. Vault toilet by entrance was surprisingly clean. We parked by boat ramp for the night with no issues. |

thedragonwagon.me | Probably the nicest rest area I've seen in the country. Well lit, yet no harsh lighting. Beautiful views of the mountains and city. The picnic areas are even lit at night! Full Verizon service. Some traffic in the lot, but the semis park in a different lot. clean bathrooms. the ground is full of sand spurs and no grass so it's not well suited for dogs. |

dcarl98 | There are No RV Overnight signs. But we did stay in our Sprinter van. There were 11 vans total that stayed but zero pull behind RV’s. So maybe vans are ok. Anyway, thought I would post. All good. |

SkaraBrae | We had a nice quiet stay here in our Dodge ProMaster van. Bought junk food for the evening and coffee in the AM. The bathrooms are clean & spacious and open 24 hours. |

gvmelissa | Beautiful campsites, most in the shade of coastal live oaks. Bathrooms are older. but clean with free showers. We arrived at noon on Monday, April 1st and about 75% of the campsites were available. Looks like there were at least 15 spots still open overnight. This is a first come campground (no reservations) in a great location so I was worried about getting a spot. |

tony-ontheroad | Excellent spot. Much better than I thought, being this close to houses and the road , but they don't bother and the road is very quiet. Gravel parking lot with a little bit of shade and good cell reception. Quite scenic |

vanlifenment | I couldn't find a free water source in town, so I went to fill up at the filtered water machines between Bashas' and Dollar Tree (NOT the Promo machine, the two older ones to the left of it). To the right of the machines near the ground was a small metal square on a huge labeled "water." It was open and a water spigot was inside. I was able to fill up for free! It looks like the little "door" can be locked, so it may not always be accessible, but worth a look before paying for water. |

Lord_Ford | We wanted to have lunch, immediately after we stepped out of the car a friendly local stopped to tell us that this is not a safe place. They had attempted robberies in this area and we should take precautions especially with our foreign licence plate. Maybe not a good place to stay overnight or even stop. |

Endless Adventuring | Quick stop. Asked where we were going, where we were from. Got into the back of our camper and looked around. Just a few minutes total. Very friendly. Sign at checkpoint tells vehicle motorists to hold onto valuables (cell phones, money, laptops, camera, passport, etc..) and watch the military guard when they are looking through your stuff. |

Endless Adventuring | Free dump. As someone commented below, the dump station is past these coordinates on the left when heading towards the ocean. There is a sign that says “RV Dump” in big letters on the ground calling it out. No line up at all. No water there |

Endless Adventuring | Great gas station. Friendly staff. He made sure we were watching the pump when he started it and as he was pumping. He claimed they were out of regular gas when we stopped and they only had premium left. No idea if that was true but it wasn’t that much more expensive. Cash or card. Easy in and out |
