Great guy works here. After all is done and through the gate we gave him a small bottle of whiskey. And said Happy new year.

Wonderful place on the slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro just before the National Park. Solar hot showers, water and a shelter where you can light a fire for BBQ and sit and have dinner. The shelter has power and lights. Camping is $10pppn & chalet is $12 pppn. Nice lawns and garden. You will probably have the place to yourself. The man who looks after the place is great. We recommend this place.

It's a great spot but not at this price! Some national park rangers saw our vehicle from their camp. They wanted to charge us $US130 which they said was the standard rate. After much negotiation they accepted $US60 for half the entry and camping fee. Makes it a very expensive camp!!! We were not happy! Needless to say they pocketed the money themselves. Apparently the area is a wildlife reserve but outside the national park.

Flat gravel parking on the left side of the building is good for 15 days. Free public and handicap bathrooms inside, recently renovated. Free WiFi inside. Bar with snacks inside and a little gift shop that sells snacks too. Hours about 7am-8pm but not positively sure on closing hours.

We were looking for parks to sleep for a night. Most closed at dusk, even this one. But this is a private park and we talked to the security guard who said he would talk to the night guard and we could probably sleep here. Not wanting to get anyone in trouble, we hesitated , so he said we could park at the entrance. We’re in a Transit Van, and just fit, so only small vehicles. Talk to security and see how it goes. Morning guard came at 5:45 and wasn’t happy...

Even if you don’t stay here, it’s the cleanest park you’ll find and quite beautiful.

Very nice spot under construction, in 2019 it should be ready, but I've already slept in a beautiful hut with great view on the valley. 4kms far the main road, and the road to come is well maintained. If you stay here the kind owners can organize a tour between vanilla/paprica/coffee/etc plantations. Very beautiful is the waterfall 1kms far from here. I think it's possible pitch the tent. Camping along Highline Canal south of I-8 close to Holtville Hot Springs. The area north and south of I-8 is reserved for long term camping (14 days: $40, 6 months: $180) but ca 2 miles south of the Interstate is 14 days free camping on BLM Land. It´s also much quieter here. The dirtroad is fine till the end.

Lost on the Tierra del Fuego, this estancia is one of the very few stops you can find on the Chilean side of the island. Estancia Caleta Josefina is 10 min drive north from the Pinguinos Rey colony near the Bahia Inutil.
Let’s be clear, this is not a cheap option, but the inside of the house is absolutely beautiful! Every room has its own fireplace ready to use. There is possibility for dinner as well and if you come early enough you can ask for the Cordero asado!
The place is new as it as been refurbished during a year and just opened one month ago.

Just as described, quiet free parking in Sedona. Due to snow most of town was closed to business when we pulled in but waking up in red rock country covered in snow was awesome. Visitor's center just down road has open flush toilets and running water 24 hours (it seemed).

They don’t usually do this, but they let me fill my water tank in my camper van for free.

I told them how difficult it was to find water in this area, even using all of the free apps and stopping at random gas stations and places that may have water spigots.

I’m not sure if they would let everyone get water here, but if you’re in a pinch and it’s a slow day, they are likely to help you out.

Stayed for the New Year's Eve. The price was raised to 7000 CLP pp. The hot water should be available 2 times a day (8-11 and 19-22) but during our stay was only in the morning (beginning of season?). Other than that - the place was okay but kind of expensive for the services provided.
