very nice new gas station with mini market, tables, coffe, etc. We slept in the level place in the side where there is a small place with trees. Safe and peaceful.

for us the campground didn't worth the journey to get there because it wasn't leveled, clean and well taken care. we took a look walking and saw we couldnt get to the campground with our van because of the high (cables at 2m crossing). there is another entrance with other owners we didnt check because it started to rain so we left

want to add, the breakfast is so delicious and a lot😉 we never needed to eat something more during the day (and that only for 65 pesos). The owner and the staff are awesome, helpful and very friendly.

Dormimos super tranquilos por aqui, até umas 22h tem bastante movimento, mas é silencioso e tranquilo. Estacionamos ao lado da polícia, faz bastante calor a noite e durante o dia nem se fala. Kkk mas um ótimo lugar para descansar depois da fronteira. Tem Banco, comida, supermercado, WiFi grátis no Mc Donalds e banheiros limpos.

Located on North Sylamore Creek it is typical National Forest Campground with picnic tables, fire rings and cooking grills. Very nice tent sites with a bath house with water, toilets and showers. I don’t believe it has any electrical hookups or sewer hookups.

Nice as a stopover. No electricity. Road noise was a bit annoying. We were here in season and paid R200 for 2 people. We have a Wild Card.

Wonderful stretch of white sand beach, with small rocky outcroppings.

From here you can (with a 4x4) easily continue down to the beach. Take your pick of spots in the sand near the shoreline. We went far right (as you are facing the water) and had a nice camp at the waters edge. Nobody else around for miles!

National Forest Campground which is just North of the TAT. Typical Forest Service campsite. Open year around with restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers. Dispersed camping w/hydrants. Some sites with full hookups. Tents $7.00 per day. Located right on Big Piney Creek.

Stayed on the street by Rocha hostel for 3 nights for free. There is nice shade and nobody bothered us. Most hostels like Wild Rover and Bananas Adventure allow day visitors. We showered and used their restrooms and just bought a drink at their bar in exchange.

All was said, large site, nice and helpfull owners, swiming pool clean, banos and showers also, wifi little bit slow and heratic, 35R$/pers , quiet grassy so no dust, 17r$ uber taxi for city, not many campings so clean and well equiped.

The forest is amazing. No access to the laguna by car, only walk! But there is possible to spend night in the forest. After the rain road can be difficult for 2WD.

Nice place for one night. Beach front of the lake with mountains views around. Beach is next to the road (not crowded).

Ran into a few snags: driving a Transit Van, trying to get TIP.

Suggest parking outside, on left...there are three spots before entering, and walk to the aduana office to get tourist visa, then get TIP, then drive through.

They reviewed registration and saw van had max weight of 8k lbs...to much they said. So had to take photo of sticker on car, and she accepted the front only weight, even though van actual max is 9000.

Because of this, had to pass through several times...

Decent restaurant right off the pier and close to central plaza and beach. Fish, pork, and vegetarian options. Typical beach pricing. Awesome complimentary tapas and chips served. Food was okay. Good service.

Residential neighborhood, sort of on route to Tijuana. We drove by, but lot was full at4pm and we didn’t want to ask. Not really near anything else so didn’t stay. Lot was really small. Probably could park on street close by without issues.

highly recommended! Interesting art and great view of the canyon. Still $100 for national and 200 foreigners, tour every hour from 9 to 18hs.

still 15 $ for double room, clean hotel, fast wifi, nice staff, laundry is possible ;)

very nice guys at this crossing. it is New Year's day. After all the paper work and we got through the gate we gave him a small bottle of whiskey. He said Happy New year.
