Only decent option in Cabo San Lucas. Very small, only 2 small rigs possible. When we were there with a reservation someone else with a reservation was asked to park on the street because they made a double booking. It was newyears eve and very busy. Overpriced (400p) for what you get.

This is just a parking lot that we camped at for the night, which was great for accessing downtown easily. Secure but a bit noisy.

We negotiated 200 pesos for the night. They have washrooms on site and electricity if needed.

You can go for a swim in the river.

Miguel and his family are amazing. We stayed here for new years eve and they invited us to spend it with them and their friends, we had a great time and it was an amazing way to meet the new year. All the facilities are as written below, awsome place. If you are in Cajamarca don't think twice this is the place to stay.

next to the road is small refugio 2x4m. cyclists will be happy. It is not very clean inside, but keep the wind outside. inside is place to make fire, 2 old beds, table and banch. no door, but wind is usually from other side. good place to stop for break during cycling, also is possible put mattress inside for 2 people or put tent outside and enjoy meal (there is table) without wind and rain.

a little crowded when we arrived but it thinned out after the holiday. We spent 3 days here and although it was cool and windy we really enjoyed it. It's a bit of a trek in and a few turns to figure out (it was right, right left. You can go to the North side if the winds are coming from the south, or south side if winds are from the North. Lots of sailboats stop here too for protection of the bay.

No campfires now and no facilities, although there are trash cans as they are trying to keep the place pristine and it was very clean.

A beautiful place right next to the river with great AC in the rooms. They have a bar and seating area overlooking the river with a restaurant. Really friendly and helpful owner Gert. A large selection of beer too ! Secure parking and a pool.

Clarification, the cost of a room for overland travellers is 360 pesos for one person, 500 pesos for two people. This included a king bed, hot shower, verranda, & light breakfast (fruit, yogurt & bread with coffee). Owners are very kind and helpful in route planning!

Coming from the end of "Ruta 3" you can cross the little creek right after the bridge, if you are walking or by bike. Then just follow the little grass trail to the right for about 100 m.
There are beautyful campspots in lushy meadows with bushes and trees for wind protection and even a fire place and a hidden lagoon nearby.
Nobody from the road or the neighboured campground can see you. Completely quiet at day and night!

Staying overnight is not permitted. However, you can try and stay for like 2 nights. We did this for 3 nights without moving at all, that was a mistake. The 3rd morning we were visited by the Police, but they were really friendly, and explained that you're gonna be ratted out by the peolpe that live here. The Police woman "recommended" to stay maybe at the airport. There are no-overnight signs all along the street, but the chance of being reported is much smaller as it is no residential area. But we only stayed one night there, it's not an ideal place. So we do not recommend to sleep at the airport. Try to rotate between the few places, like this one, every day. We stayed the day at the free public parking at White Street and Atlantic Boulevard, after 9ish we moved to one of the spots where it's "allowed" to overnight, and in the morning we moved back to the public parking.

This place is more a hospedaje than a hostal with numerous private rooms and a dormitory for four. It's a chill place with a mixed customer profile of locals and tourists. The place was started up by two colombian guys after their trip in all south america on a tuc_tuc. You can see the memories of this trip everywhere in the place. Although set up by travellers, i can not say the place gives a travellers groove.

There is lack of management, especially for bookings. They are not able to manage their capacity for bookings through web pages and for showing up overlanders at the same time. This is NOT a place for daily decisions, but a place for people who have fixed timeframe. If you'll stay there definitely book in advance and have your place booked or you can be kicked out at 31st of december because of mismanagement of the capacity as it was in my case.

IThe crew continuously try to create contingent solutions to booking mismanagement including an option to sleep in the room reseved for volunteers. But be avare if your bed was in the dorm and you were made to sleep in that room because of bookings mismanagement, this can be used against you at some point with an unpleasent attitude like "to be helpful we've offered you a place which would cost much" as if the misorganisation is your fault or it is all about money you pay.

Pros: chill place, parking for three big motos or a van, 24 h kitchen, hot water if the pressure is fine (natural gas heater is used), laundry service 9k pesos, cleanliness, free cofee in the morning

Cons: booking mismanagement, shakey and noisy bunk beds (when i asked why they dont fix the beds to the walls they sad it was more easy this way for cleaning), poor internet

Being an overlander for more than three years my rating is 6/10 for the place

Payed 26k pesos for dorm

At that moment it's 9 o'clock in the morning and i sit outside from his house. Calm safe Neighbourhood. We slept in the motorhome/camper but have a good time with him and his friends. Today we celebrate New Years Eve with him. Ask in the Neighborhood for Sebatian - he's 'famous' here. For Allergic People - he have a supersweet dog called Groot. Can recommend it 100%. He helped me a lot to buy stuff for my shower construction and to build it. Very humourous. The car on the pictures is going to be renovat.
