Armin, Serge, Kofi, and the rest of the mechanics at Garage Weikl got our Land Rover in right away without a booking on New Years Eve for an oil change, and fixed a vexing electrical problem that had been bothering us for a week.

We learned that Armin is 79, and has been in Rwanda for over 49 years. He seems moving a little slower these days, so a lot of the work is done by his capable assistants.

Good work done at a fair price. Check out the old Sahara-style Mercedes overland truck rotting away in a corner of the yard. I’m sure it has lots of stories to tell.

Spot for coffee and a quick snack. Excellent and inexpensive gift shops on both sides of the cafe with some beautiful handmade crafts. Worth the stop and a good place to pick up small souvenirs, jewelry, baskets.

The best refugio around! Sandra and Nacho are the most delightful hosts you'll meet, who go to a lot of trouble and work to ensure the place is full of good vibes - and it works! Bring your best energy with you and you'll have a great time!

very clean, spacious hostel in Houston. not many options in town. $34 per night with breakfast, parking at the back and very close to supermarkets and shops. not much to see here but the cheapest place in town. $3 per day for the HI card or $18 for the annual pass.

Well the road from Tlachichuca is definitely a challenge. It’s pretty technical, and you will need all the goodies your car can supply. But it’s more than amazing to drive up here... and reach here. If u love mountains go for it! Be aware of altitude sickness.

500m dirt access road. Small parking area for just a few cars, relatively leveled, just 10 meters from the entrance to cenote.

We did stay 2 nights. Some visitors came during the day. It was completely quiet after dark.

* 2 bars on Telcel
* No services

Water gets cloudy with increased number of visitors (particles from the walls and ledges) , but it is very clean if you get there early.

Very nice and deep cenote (118m).
See attached photos for more details.

Great huge place 40 s/ for double bed room with shared bathroom. Fantastic gas powered hot shower. Great view from the balcony. Kitchen (prepare yourself to be patient with the stove), and place to eat. Parking lot for 2 cars. Bicycles and motorcycles welcome!
Friendly staff - they listen classical music and it was relaxing

You can camp here for 10$ (2p, 1 car). It’s a lodge owned by Italians. There is not a real campground but you can choose a spot anywhere (although not many level). You can use the very nice European guest toilets and the shower of the drivers accommodation (good cold functional shower). Food is expensive. We did enjoy our 4 course dinner on New Year’s Eve for 80000ush pp. Other meals we cooked ourselves.

Super endroit. Parfait !

This place is a must in Baños Morales. Is 10 minutes waking outside the town and apparently a really famous place for camping among Chileans. Just follow the road (not the one that goes to Baños de Colina, but one that goes from the town to the east -it’s not pavemented-), great place for free and you have almost everything you need in the town.

Great palapa near the beach, pit toilets. $5 or $90 pesos to camp. Hardly anyone here now, have place mostly to ourselves. Have seen several whales spouting. Peaceful & little wind while we are here. Happy New Year!

The hotel is located about 1 km away from Chorlim Gate just outside the park. It’s a beautiful place with a garden, restaurant and bar. Firewood can be organized. There is a small village next to it where you can buy some basic food.
They have rooms (75$ double) and allow camping in the garden (1000 KSh p.p.).
They gave us a key for a room to use the facilities there. Is was not really clean and the cold shower was not working properly.
Good for one night before or after going to the park though.

This is a great Suzuki shop! I did not have any service done but they have DR650 parts in stock. The guy at the parts counter speaks a little English and was very helpful.

Got our Liberian visa here on the same day. The cost was 100-125 USD depending on nationality. No express fee needdd to be paid by our group. We only had to fill in a form and provide passport photos.

Large Quarry with large flat sandy bottom good for a stop over on way to or from Vilanculos. Village playing music faintly in distance but otherwise no other sign of activity. Few cars passing. High Quarry sides give evening and morning shade. Nice spot.

Very basic campground but pleasant. Nice bathrooms with clean showers. Low water pressure but adequate. And it's free for now. The park has a variety of hiking trails, some of the longer ones require a reservation because they are guided. The park rangers are helpful and pleasant to deal with.
