nice and quiet place. we try to go to the picture spot but we get stuck on the sand, be careful and enjoy. any way nice place near to the road. Ask for Rosendo in (5km south) Mela Village... he have a truck and can help if you are on sand 🤘

Great spot for us!! Hardly any bugs and a long beautiful beach. The locals were out fishing and sunbathing until the sun went down. 4 wheelers running up and down the beach all night long, but never bothered us.

Excellent spot to spend a few relaxing day. Very peaceful. Camping under the palms next to the beach, with electricity. Clean toilet and shower (cold). Delicious food. We shared a seafood platter, one portion big enough for two people. Camping TZS 22.000 per person, food between TZS 25.000 and 45.000. Quite expensive, but worth it. Friendly owner and staff.

Beautifully located campsite on Lake Oanob. All reviews from below are still valid. We visited the campsite during the weekend and Newyear’s Eve and it was busy with large family groups gathering for this period. The place is well guarded and has friendly staff. The shop only has the basic needs so do the shopping in Rehoboth where a large Shoprite is present just North of town.

Bought a Telcel sim card. 70 pesos the sim card and then 200 pesos for the plan for 1.5 gb. See attached picture for available plans.

Excelente local para jantar! Passamos o réveillon, pois a balsa para o continente não saiu devido a muito vento e ondas no estreito de Magalhães. Familiar, com um mercado ao lado! Não dormimos nos quartos, pois estamos de motorhome, mas nos ofereceram ducha caliente!

Great, clean, very friendly owner, maybe a must in Cuenca, we fit our 2cv Truckette and our small trailer in secure parking.

Plenty of parking along the street near Loves Truck Stop. Other than a train at 10pm, it was very quiet and safe. Better than a lot of other options nearby.

Camp C8 (120 N$ pppn in peak season) is ok for bigger vehicles / trucks and has private shower and ablutions.

Perfect place, great people. $40 US dollars. They take Chialean Peso, US dollars and Credit Cards. Nice place after a long drive.

We needed some welding on our roof rack after driving on the rough corrugated roads. We asked at the gate and were sent to the mechanic - I don't think he was Riaan (perhaps Chalice?). He said they could do the job today and called his welder there and then. We negotiated and agreed a price of N$400 for the job.

They ended up causing even more damage to our roof rack, and then when we insisted they put it right they tried to tell us that the more time spent the more they would be charging us! What a joke!

Under close supervision they managed to do something to get us going again, but what a bodge! We will now have to go to a proper welder/mechanic to repair and complete the job.

We stayed for 4 days over nye the charge was a bit more 2000 but it’s the only place that would take dogs. You just have to hide the at the nature reserve entrance. Carlos is a rad Argentina’s guy speaks english. Beachesw were better than most considering it’s been blowing on shore most of the fall so lots of sea grass

good for one overnight. huge parking lot. little noisy, but a safe place for free with a security guard. if toy cross the border late and don't want to drive at night, that's a good choice. We asked for permission and was no problem to stay.
