It’s a Walmart parking lot so not very fancy but you have the mountains surrounding and it’s free ! Slept here 3 nights while visiting Vancouver and before taking the ferry from Tsawwassen to Victoria, didn’t have any trouble and felt safe!

We passed here on a Sunday, all gates in the way to Pierre were open, so no fees.

We got pretty late into Coban after a long day of driving and this was the only decent priced place we could find (paying 18USD at Parque Nacional Victoria seemed ridiculous to us)
Pros: well located, friendly owners, safe. Clean bathrooms.
Cons: very tight space (definitely not for big rigs) and not too level. We were trapped between 2 trucks and could barely open our door to get out. We even got a scratch on our van while trying to park :( Very noisy - roosters in the neighbourhood started singing at 4am! Could barely get any sleep.
Overall not a great option but not much else in Coban unfortunately.

open early and sundays, heated (which is important these days) , very good bread , pastry and coffee and good wifi - perfect start this morning !

Big R.V park with nice pool area, clean shower facilities and a book exchange. Night guard also.
Charged 500 peso per night.

Very Nice & Clean place, it has a pool & gym. Free delicious buffet breakfast. Rooms are specious with hot showers & AC. People working here are very friendly. There is a parking lot in front of the hotel which fits big rigs. There is also a parking lot with high restriction. Near by is a supermarket. They also offer laundry service for the extra charge. Very good wifi.

Agree with all comments bellow. Clean, friendly, hot shower, great option for cyclists if it's too cold. 30B/person. There are some small tiendas in Vila Vila.

Avoid this place if possible. Banos and grounds were filthy. Overpriced for what you get!

Quiet parking lot at end of dead end road. Opportunity for a short hike and a quiet unofficial spot for the night (a local police officer said he had no issues with me staying a night or two).

No problem with a motorhome even if the entrance since small,after it's a highway in the mountains. ..
Some cars and motorcycle in the afternoon because it's a legendery place for indians.
You can make a walk in the evening and in 5 mn you can see the sunset...

After a lot of big rain this road is transforming in a really big river.
They make a new road in gravel but not a lot of compact.
We go with our motorhome but we don't sleep.
We prefered the second point to 1km.

This plaza is open only on weekend! Between monday and friday they lock it with a chain and it is not possible to park or sleep there. You can park a few meters in front of the plaza for 5 Bol / hour

For my 2wd not possible to go to the lake but i stayed at about 2000m asl just past the last farms. Hiked to the lake and the top of some small hill there. Very beautiful area. A lot more tracks then maps.me shows. Possible to go all the way to the mountain hut at 2600m.

We stayed 4 nights in this place, nobody told us anything, super safe and quiet. Very nice beach with good waves.

Halfway between Titticaca and Tacna, it's 100m apart from the road at the end of a good gravel road and partly visible (on the way down on your right side). At night very few traffic and no one bothered us. In the evening you can enjoy a beautiful sunset and a great view. And there is a little stream for non potable water. Some farmers and road workers visible in the morning but seemed to be friendly.

Next to the campground, follow the gravel road. Plenty of Nice spot with fire place.

We just stayed one night and didnt go to the park, campsite was nice though.

We did the tour with Roger and his son William. The tour was very informative, we visited the school and their private island. Highly recommended! You will find Roger and his family in the small house behind the church.

County Park with about 20 spaces. 20 acre park with bathrooms and showers. Ballpark, swings, firepits, and picnic tables. Some sites have full hookups, some just power and water. $10/night pay at the store nearby.

Club House and restaurant. Acceptable prices. Swimming pool, bar, restaurant. Good environment Good food.

Beautiful place, very easy to access, next to a lake! Very quiet.

A beach bar and restaurant attached to a B&B. We were recommended here for the burgers, and they did not disappoint. The chicken burger was superb, the beef burger was great too. And the chips are the best we’ve had since leaving home. They also offer seafood, beef, and chicken dishes. If they’re as good as the burgers, you won’t be sad. Tsh9000-18000. Add Tsh3000 for chips.

here you can find an access from the road onto a nice sandy area in the dunes.
free. even though it's close to the road there's almost no noise but the sound of the waves. good spot. were here on a saturday/sunday night, only a few fishermen around. the access is very sandy, you'll need 4x4. big rigs could fit but probably not acces, as it's to narrow at the entry
