We had some problems here. Rooms are very basic. My companion got bed bites. I decided to sleep in car but was charged room price. Food very average. Much better options around

rained almost the whole time we were here so we couldn't swim now find the old bridge. you're quite far from any town so nobody is around although I think it's a boat launch or something. very nice jungle sounds in the morning and too cold for mosquitos (early may). if we had more time we would stay here more days. no facilities, bring enough food and potable water unless you have a good filtration system.

This dive shop ran by Jose (Muñeco) is right at the entrance to taganga which is a 2 minute walk to the beach. feels like the safest location to leave your vehicle since they have cameras and someone is always around. That said, I got my PADI cert here for 850k and my gf did a fun dive for 177k. Took 3days to complete and they were very nice to let us put things in their fridge, do dishes, take showers, use restrooms, connect to electricity, and fill tanks before we left. Jose has a really good boat if their is a group of his otherwise if it's just you two or three he piggybacks on another boat. Recommend if you're going to dive otherwise maybe he'll let you park for a fee but we didn't ask about that.

A REALLY popular restaurant that has a huge variety of food from around colimvua, including veggie options. Family style, has a playground, not cheap, really good.

Free Camping at La Plata Badlands north of Farmington near Jackson Lake Wildlife Management Area. The Dirtroad leads to several Oil and Gas Stations and is in good shape. The place is surrounded by badlands and would be nice, but there is quite a lot rubbish around.

An old dug out lot. A short pull off right where the sign ”Hulared” is from the main road if you come from Dalstorp area. Very quiet! Possible to reach without 4 wheel drive. Right next to a hiking trail. Lake with beach nearby. Good cell service!

Average campsite, hot showers, 25$ to sleep in the van at a tent site. The lady who runs it is super rude today and yesterday when trying to check in or do laundry.

Perfectly fine campground, no tent camping however, and there was no potable water available in late spring, also not at the sites where there are spigots. 20 for electric and 15 dry.

Here is a small Mirador. Go through the restaurant. Behind the restaurant is a small way. It takes 7 minutes to the mirador.

Very special. We were unmolested here, but there were fairly many weekend hikers. All left at sunset. Leave no traces at this beautiful spot.

The town has only one (apparently questionable) camp site. This is a parking lot in the southern urban outskirts, flat and not far from a super market and some restaurants a bit up the road towards the town. Ok to stay for one quiet night.

It is possible to stay overnight at the Estonian Border waiting area. This is very useful if your timeslot to cross the border is in the middle of the night or early in the morning. It is quiet at night.

Parked our 4x4 in the dunes right in the middle between this pullout and the next one. Perfect spot sheltered from the wind and far enough from the road. Beautiful sunset from the top of the dunes! Really quiet, no one bothered us at anytime. Went for a quick dip in the water in the morning – so cold!

very good guide I recommend. We did it with 2 children (8 and 6 years) and a horse we paid 1500 qtz + 200 for a porter for our backpack. For one person the rate is 325qtz. The family of guides live at the foot of the volcano and are very friendly. You can contact Catalino directly by phone or whatsapp at: +502 55004707 Is possible to camp in front their house.

Weird place, but hotsprings are a nice relief from the road. Unusual collection of permanent campers and overnighters. No organized campsites. Clean washrooms. Nice staff. Expensive for tent camping. Two people = 40 USD. $10 more if you want one of the few serviced sites. Hard to get one though.

See below. We also think it's a lovely campsite. There are 4 campsites - the campsites are not very big, but we were the only campers so no problem for us - a chalet and 2 tents. Our kids (2 and 4) loved the place. The canoe trip was great. The owner is very friendly. We paid P150 (2 adults). We recommend this place.

Amazing place to rest and relax!! Our friends stayed in a cabana and they let us sleep in our truck for free. Great clean pool, wifi in restaurant, homemade honey and a great tour of how the Maya’s make rope from ciecel (spelling? The green plant that looks like aloe). Great family that has done an amazing job developing this eco lodge. Plan a few days here between going to one of the coasts or Bacalar.

Looks like a nice place for a stay (which I didn't as I don't own an RV yet ;-) ) but this is a location close to my main interest area in Santiago', so I came in to check it for the future. also took some pictures... looks clean and safe.
