super quiet place. I guess the other comments might be wrong about the location. because it's not the place with the church it's the place with the police at the corner. there is only one little bar around the place that we reported also on ioverlander. there was one concert but not too loud and maybe because it was Friday. its the second time we sleep here. last time was during the WE and it was super quiet. this village is definitely a must do in Salvador. so cute !!!

Tiny campsite, directly on the sandy beach. Has a few (but not many) trees for shade. Located in quiet and pretty village with pine trees all around. Small bathroom with shower and toilet, wifi available. We found this to be a real peaceful place.

It is a bit difficult and narrow to get down to these bays and usually there are holiday homes, restaurants etc. ... but on a low profile. But it is definitely worth the while to drive along the road towards Akyaka, very scenic and in good condition … and you may find one or the other spot, e.g. before you get to Ören or in Akbük

Looking for a one night stop on the road to the north. At the end of a Dead end street with view over zapellar bay. You need to climb to Cerro el morro. Safe with nobody there in low season. I guess it would have been different in summer.

Awesome surf lessons! We had never been on a surf board before and our instructors Celestino and Arturo had us standing up and riding waves on day one! Very attentive instructors who care about your form being very good before you get in the water. The maximum number of instructors to students is 1:2 but we had 1:1! Great day learning to surf. About half and hour before getting in the water and about 2 hours in the water. They also offer rooms to stay in. Good wifi. Really beautiful place. We payed $500 pesos per person for 1 lesson. Nice place. We had guacamole, shrimp plate, a tlayuda, two beers and a milkshake for around 300 pesos. Really reasonable price for the area. It was clean, they gave us a fan which kept the bugs at bay, anf the washroom was clean too.

A beautiful place to visit and you can sleep with your RV in the parking, juste ask at the réception and he give you the permission.

Beautiful bush camp 35 km out of Epupa. Seems people have camped here before as there were two fire pits with left over firewood when we arrived! Flat spot to park vehicle and hidden from the main road (C43).

If heading to Opuwo from Epupa the turn off to the track is on your right. It’s not an obvious track but it’s between two very close road signs (one is a turn sign and the other is a river sign). Drive about 100m down the track which looks almost like a riverbed (maybe it once was) and you will see an opening on your left where the two fire pits are. 4x4 not needed. Not sure where the track leads but no one came past us. We could hear dogs in the distance and voices every now and again but it seemed far away. Farming animal poo around! You can hear the Cars driving past on the main road.

You will hear the sound of Africa throughout your stay here - the donkey (unfortunately).

*****maps me will tell you to turn too early. Continue on about 350m from where maps me tells you to turn right. The track is past the rocks on your right.

We pulled up here late. Not too long after, we heard people in the bushes. We shined our torch in their direction and they ran away. Seemed like there was at least two people. We didn’t want to risk being hassled. So even though it was late we chose to drive further on. We found a lovely spot about 6km down by a dam. Ovivero Dam.

It seems that there are “small villages” all throughout and along this road. We saw people appear out of no where when we were driving. So finding somewhere far enough away from anyone is difficult. We never felt any form of aggression though.

Overflow Parking Lot for the Cove Resort on Lake Okanagan in West Kelowna. Lot is gravel and dirt and they allow folks to park for the night. No tents. $10 for campervans or small rigs. $20 for big trailers or RVs. Not a great campsite but good for a night and close to the water. Register and get a parking pass from hotel.

As described, nice spot. We saw two beavers swimming around. A lot of mosquitos!

Road was very muddy and quite unaccessible due to high water levels. We didn’t stay here.

gorgeous views of the rivers, amazing sunrise, tons of green space and large trees, no one doing rounds at night and no "no overnight parking" signs.

Great spot directly next to the river with full coverage from 101. Enter from small opening in turnout across from on ramp. Soft gravel/small rocks after the dirt road, but I was able to drive to the end in my 4x4 Sprinter without issues. Saw one other couple staying in a tent next to a small sedan. Very pet friendly.

Auberge in Ijoukak. Double room with shared shower and squat toilet. Nothing fancy, but does the job, 50 MAD. Friendly owner, let me park my motorbike on the back terrace. Omelette, bread and tea for breakfast 30MAD, and the butcher shop down the street does grillades for 15MAD. Small and friendly place to stop before crossing the mountains to Aoulouz.

I stayed at this location, but it doesn't match the description.
The name is Hostal San Valentin, there's no porch or parking for motorbikes that I can see, and there's a supermarket more or less opposite!
They're still happy for a bicycle in the room (25k for single) but it's quite a steep flight of stairs up to the hotel from street level.
No fan in room, but not required at this elevation. Indeed, the cold shower is edging towards the uncomfortable side of refreshing if you leave it late into the evening!
Good WiFi but noisy.

Very nice. To spend the Night its free in you Go to the Restaurant.

High prices, no working internet and seriously insufficient hot water. When I asked, they said I don’t know. Location good, but 6 euro to town. Website say 20 euro, but is 25 + 2.5per person/night. Would NOT stay again.

As described. Standard state park campground with bathrooms, showers, etc. 30$ for a non-electric site, closer to 40$ for a site w electricity during peak season

we travel with a 10 tons expedition truck, this parking is clean safe "with guard cameras" and close with fences. You share showers and toilets with the football place here. You have a wash machine electricity and water.
Perfect to visit the city, 3min walk to the metro station and 200m to the see
