this road is not that bad. there's a few spots where it's quite bumpy and some (in dry season) shallow river fords but I think 4x4 is nit critical. there are buses and a few trucks. it's an awesome drive so if you have the time go for it!!

in rainy season I would one try with high clearance 4x4 and maybe a snorkle fir the bigger river Ford

This place sounded great, but when we arrived no one was around. After waiting and eventually contacting the owner we were told they were closed today. We found another place in town, hotel Gomez.

This is a nice spot, sheltered flat ground, a bit rocky, river for swimming and washing, some locals occasionally fishing and kids swimming but no hassles, close to the road, no shade - follow the track on the east side of the river until it ends

Basic hotel in the middle of town. 15000 cop per person. Secure parking for motorcycles, 1 or 2 small vehicles could fit too. Warm showers and slow wifi.

Dump station and potable water available !

A few people camping here, still quiet. Free toilets in the resort. And free #TELUS WiFi. Decent view. Overall pretty good for a parking lot

Paved parking lot only a few steps from the city center. Many campers. 8 euros for 24 hours, including free electric. Sunday is free, so arrive Saturday and stay until Monday for 8 euros. Dump station and water. Library with wifi, restroom and cafe at end of parking lot. Really nice town - Saturday market buzzes all day. Tourists' cheese market on Thursday, but you can get the same stuff at Saturday market or at normal shops in town.

The southbound small coastal road leads in a loop over Cape Agalina. A small dirt road (can be very muddy after rain) leads through the bush to a small opening where a few cars could park. We walked down the small path and camped right on the cliffs, a beautiful spot! There is access to the sea as well.

130kwacha pppn, nice simple campsite outside NP, nice bathrooms, hot showers, kitchen area, free firewood. Lots of hippos and elephant came through the camp at about 10pm.

Quick and simple arriving in Russia, 30 mins max and only that long because a massive thunderstorm arrived and took out the electricity so we had to wait for power and computers to run up again

Followed track a bit further along to find s vacant spot due to a few fishermen being about.
River quite high and fast running.
A few insects annoying you but protected on 3 sides from the wind by rows of trees and shrubs.
It states big rig friendly but the tracks are muddy and heavily rutted in places with some standing water. Also trees come in quite tight in places.

Good quality price hostel. The garden area is big and well kept. There is a commun area with a book shelf, tv, cardboard games and a sink. Unfortunately the only thing missing in this hostel is a kitchen. No wifi also but its ok there is wifi available in town (1 bob=10mins / 3bob=30mins). Its possible you wash your clothes. Paid 50 bob in tent with a nice breakfast! I saw the rooms and dorms, they look well clean and comfy. The lady boss is so friendly and the staff too. I recommand !

Oblepiha includes hostel, restaurant and shop. Easy access and many places. Noisy.

Place was hidden from the road because of the grown trees. Quiet at night. Nobody came.

The camp ground was closed. Don't know if permanent or a seasonal thing.

Really as bad as described. From Aqtobe to Muqyr and then directly to Qulsary we were driving 4 days. Road condition in the west are worse. Muqyr to Qulsary also very bad.
It would be very helpfull if someone could leave a comment about road conditions via Oral, which is about 500 km more, but maybe the better choice?

Just filled with Diesel here for 5000 SOM per liter. you can check color true glass.
Our van ran fine on it. Pretty good price.

Shell gas station just 30km from Teresina-Piauí. Refill your tank and ask for showers and electricity. Quiet place to sleep.

Not great. Airplane traffic overhead, douchebags with modified (LOUD) atvs, and assholes shooting guns. Keep looking!

Bar and guesthouse. accomondation in rooms wich contains running water shower and electricity or on cottages at summertime.

Beautiful campground. Lots of people come here for the rafting. Tippis available. Also a hot tub, swimming pool and hot showers. Only two communal fire pita. We paid 44$ for our site. A bit pricy but worth the money if you wanna relax and have a good shower. We arrived around 5pm and got one of the last sites but it was Canada day, so don't know how it fills up on other days.

To reach the place take the junction at S29° 14.081' W51° 31.740'. From here, drive a few hundred meters to the west and you will reach the place. The hosts are super nice. Kitchen is well equipped and clean. Bathrooms are new and also clean. In the morning we could eat oranges fresh from the trees. Price is still 25 reais pp.

We stayed here for one night and enjoyed the rocky beach - as the sun set the hot rocks getting hit by the waves created a cool and misty breeze - also the sound of the water was fantastic as it flowed through the rocks. We stayed on the beach a bit further down the road (just didnt turn to go up but carried on straight and took a right about 100 meters after). Camped here over night - no problems & saw dolphins when we walked up to the point in the morning.

Beautiful campground under large trees right at the lake. Open during the season until October. Reservation is recommended during school holidays.
