As below, but some issues with mediocre bathroom cleaning, air conditioning not working, and no curtains on one window in one room. Big problems with water, we were unable to shower on 2/3 days. They fixed all problems except the water eventually, but not ideal. Nice rooms tho.

Spend 1 night there. Juan Carlos is very sympathic and welcoming. Fabulous view and quiet. Nice spot for paragliding. Could take a shower and water for the camper. Space for 1 or 2 big rigs (plus a few cars from owner). Possibility to camp. Paid 20.000$ for 3 adults and 2 children.

The spot is just beside the bridge on the left hand side. Area is enough to fit quite many cars and rigs. Easy access to lake, fireplace together with place to sit. Nice area and view. There is a camping very close to the spot.

NOT NICE PEOPLE... They actually turn you away if you have a bicycle. They seemed to be disgusted by the way I looked after cycling in the hot sun all morning.

This museum has several mummies and actually has the smallest mummy in the world... which is only 18.5 cm tall. It's free to visit an very interesting.

This is a really nice cafe with a good menu and reasonable prices. They make delicious hamburgers (they can customize them at your request) and very good Pisco Sours.

It‘s difficult to find place on the coast. We stayed here for 2 days, and payed 60TL for 2 persons and a big campingcar. There are also little tents for rent. The big trees give nice shadow, the place is also used for piknic with tables and chairs. By night it is calm, you can only hear the street along the coast. Toilets are very simple, you get fresh water. The owner speaks a little English, is very friendly and presents us tea for nothing. It‘s a good place!

I was on a solo bike tour from Ecuador to Ushuaia. Today there were several places to camp on the Death Road. Camping was free except at the end, at Albergue Yolosa, where it cost 10 BOB ($1.50) pp. In the village at 1.0 km was a large open space for camping, with bathroom and water faucet. One had to walk 20 m for views. At 3.9 km was a clearing with space for several tents (photo). No water. Good views. At 20.8 km (Mono Zipline) cyclists could camp under cover in the outdoor seating area (photo). This place had bathrooms and water. Good views.

I stayed here for 1 night. This hotel was relatively new and was a community-owned project. Clearly they were still learning how to run a hotel. Price for my ensuite room was 70 BOB ($10) or nearly 2x that of my room in Coroico, yet it was of inferior value. Still, I felt it worthwhile to help the community. The standard may improve once more people come and stay. The alternatives were expensive accommodation at Senda Verde and at one other upscale hotel up the river from Yolosa. (This I did not visit. I was told about it by a villager).

Pros: large pleasant courtyard with table and seating. Ensuite. Large plastic table and plastic chair (upon request). At 70 BOB it was the cheapest accommodation option in Yolosa. One could camp for 10 BOB pp. Cons: no TP, towel or soap. On-demand hot shower suffered from intermittent water flow so one had to turn in nearly full on for the heating element to work. The temperature was then too low to be pleasant. Instead I boiled a liter of water and used this to wash myself. Bed sagged in the middle and was a bit short, such that my feet pressed against the end. (I am 5 ft 11"). Lighting was rather dim. No internet. 220V socket was worn so my 220 V kettle’s plug would not make contact unless held in place.

Le coin est sympa, on a voulu y dormir mais il y a eu trop de passage de voitures qui viennent quelques heures s’y installer et y mettre la musique (même vers 2h du matin...). donc on est retournés au Walmart pour plus de calme..

Meh on this one. It's not worth what they charge, especially if you don't need hookups (all sites have 'em). Sites are close together and basically in a grass field. No real tree cover during the day, and $50 per night for 2 people. Ohh, and you still have to pay to use the showers.

The vibe of this place was really weird too. Kinda hard to explain but it seemed to be popular with boomers and keep-up-with-the-jones suburban types with large and expensive RVs. Not the place to be social.

Fort De Soto is a real gem. Park entrance is only $5. There are 2 toll bridges near by but they were very affordable. Once in the park you can take your pick of beach. The area is mostly undisturbed and offers lots of plants and wildlife to enjoy. Although there is a main beach area that has a concession stand and facilities. We chose to to go the dog beach. It is right by the dog park and is a short walk from a large parking lot. The beach is very clean and in a much nicer location than I expected. Our pup enjoyed it very much. The water was the perfect temperature and clarity was good. Can’t recommend enough.

Stayed a few nights here and it was nice. The road in was nice and easy in our transit. Some rock and ruts to avoid but great compared to most Forrest roads we encounter. The roads are pretty tight so I don’t think bigger rigs would make the turns. The views up here are great.

(The picture posted by another user showing the route up was not open when we came. The route from the road was open but half way up there was a locked gate. We had to turn off at that point and that road led us to the top.)

We drove all the way up to the lagunas, parked next to laguna azul and were kicked off an hour later. This spot is the nicest. Quiet, private, easy to reach, far above the road.

This was a really nice stop on Boquete. They have a nice big yard for RVs as well as parking out front; we are a van and it may be a bit tight to get in the gate with a bigger rig. The place is well located close to town and the facilities were well maintained and nice. Also, best shower we've had since Mexico!
