A small addition about the Oriental Insurance 3rd party coverage that you can buy from an agent here: When we bought a new insurance for the second year from another agent at another office (but also Oriental), it became clear that the insurance sold to us by the agent that came to Mrs Bandhari’s was not for a car, but for a special category like tractors and rikshas. So if you buy insurance here, make sure it is for the correct category and all details are correct. You might just need it.

There were people parked there who must've been around a long time - clothes strewn EVERYWHERE, didn't wave back, they claimed their territory so I left. Would have good view if available though!

There's a pull-off on HWY 89B with several spots and campfire rings. Great hilltop view and there bars of Verizon service. Road was bumpy getting in, but not harsh.

Update don’t stay here. Wanted to stay here one night on our way out of the Keys. An A-hole cop came around 7 am and told us we couldn’t stay here. Took our IDs and explained why about five times hahaha they need to put a sign up so people know for sure.

Very nice. Lots of birdsong. Not busy at all.
Only down side is the very occasional mild whiff of septic tank but it’s very faint, otherwise beautiful. Great native bush tracks around.

Rocky unimproved road. Lots of cows- but also lots of grass. The whole area rises from I-10 at a steady rate, so flat spots are limited. Lots of leveling required. Wouldn’t pull a trailer in here. Nice stop close to I-10.

Dirt road pull off on the mountain pass, access road for utility trucks and some other people down the hill. We parked just at the top of the road where it was flat and left space for trucks to pass around. Some traffic at sunrise/sunset on this road. Kinda trashed and some cow carcasses scattered around, so not a spot to hang outside, but had no trouble spending the night.

Beware it could be extremely windy if you choose the wrong night. Just check the wind forecasts on wundergound and you’ll be fine.

When I went to sleep I was the only one there. One other car parked sometime during the night. Border patrol passed by but didn’t bother me. Train passed by too and that made my trailer vibrate. Beautiful sunrise and sunset.

Huge parking spaces with electric and water hookup, clean bathrooms and free laundry, it is a bit expensive because it is only for RVs 45 dollars per night, we were traveling to Shreveport so we needed a place to stay along the way. Also great WiFi!

Beautiful campground in the hills west of Tucson. Very crowded. No wood fires permitted. We stayed 2 nights. This place is a bit of a drive from Tucson.

Very easy to get to coming from white sands! Was lucky and got the first site here off the road that was accessible for my shuttle bus. The rest of the sites look like they need clearance and a solid rig to get to. Trailhead down the road was a good fallback. Beautiful sunset and moonrise.

we stayed here 4 nights. In the weekends they are a lot of people and it can be noisy during the day. We paid 25.000 for park entry and 30.000 for camping per day for 3 persons.
