LOVE this rest stop! One of the most gorgeous rest areas I’ve been to! Tons of pet walk areas, and stairs for some heart pumping exercise! I did not use the toilets, can’t speak for how clean they are.

As the OP mentioned, there is indeed a separate side for campers, no semis allowed, and a hill in between the rest area and highway. No signs restricting overnights. This stop sits on a huge lake and it’s beautiful! Shady parking spots as well as direct sun spots for us solar seekers. ;-)

Head up to the ridge line for pull in camping spots. We’re headed down to sand canyon Pueblo later this am (turned out to be a nice hike but a bust as far as ruins go). Views are pretty good for desert Southwest. ATT LTE signal very usable, got a good boost with WeBoost antenna.

Open rangeland up dirt road. Amazing views into valley. Very private and not near anything. Very rough unmaintained road. High clearance vehicle needed. 4g cell phone service is available for Tmobile.

Nice local food and american style . Great staff. Right in the heart of the nica shopping district including the marcado.
there is street parking only good in the day. The area is a must see if you want to experience a small local marcado and Cafe Blue is a great place to base up

I’d rate this site a 6/10. We were in loop a(non generator). Sites were on top of each other w nothing in between, and the campgrounds weren’t anything special. But our site was on the river which was nice. As well as fairly close proximity to the heart of the park. 25 a night , flush bathrooms w electricity. Dump station to. Must book on recreation

There is a shell garage with fuel by the shoprite, also a standard bank ATM.
At this location the attendant said her card machine was broken and wanted cash, we didn't have enough cash and magically her machine worked again. This ATM charges 30 for a transaction and there was only 100 in the machine. Rather go to the Shell garage instead!

Great place, peaceful, private. Lots of horse trails and plenty of dirt road to walk. Watch out for ticks, we pick them off after each outing. We get 2 bars on each AT&T and Verizon. There are a couple porta-potties, non-potable water and a trash bin. The dirt road coming in is pretty choppy and can be difficult in some places, but we were able to drive around the deepest sand spots. Oh, and DO NOT trust GPS directions to get here, you want to enter Rima Ridge Road from FL-40. We came here with our 36' travel trailer behind our F350 dually. We being two adults and two dogs. Site 1 is the largest with the most head room. This is a great place to be out of the city but not too far from it.

. This is a great park in the summer to stay. It is quaint with not much cover but if you don't run air the breezes each night were great to us even when over 100 during the day. I have been here numerous times.

Just at the other side of the road from "picnic area" spot. You have to sneak behind the crash barrier (cars and vans accessible) and continue to a small forest. Firepits and grassy areas. You can hide completely from the road. Thanks to the sound of the river, you can't almost hear the road. No mobile signal. Used by locals, but not super trashy. Narrow entrance, accessible for 2wd without problem. Good wind protection. Easy acces to river.

Random spots beyond the bridge. Good Verizon and T Mobile. Sounds of the river nearby. Minimal solar. Lot's of traffic so far especially for a Monday. I'll update with anything of note.

No worries. Safety is more important to me than highway noise. Plenty of other vans and campers at the corner of the lot by tha Hampton Suites. Yes there is road noise (smooth highway noise). Recording plays over speakers but didn’t even notice it once sleeping.
