This is still a good place to camp for free. There's probably about six sites. It's a little hard to tell. There's 5 of us here now. We all came in around dinner time. So might be busy. I have not found any water spigots. There's a trash can. A small playground nearby and a tiny creek. There's a bigger playground across from the lake. The little road that the sites are on has a turnaround at the end. It's hard to see because it goes down a hill. I probably wouldn't bring anything bigger than 35 ft in here. I have also not see any vault toilets. There might be a porta potty around but I wouldn't rely on it.

Very nice and quiet place. Well leveled, nice view! Cell coverage good enough for FaceTime! Easy access and big rig friendly !

Perfect place for a couple nights to stay. Can be busy during the weekend (so I heard) and also during the day. Lots of families swimming and fishing. Beach is littered. Trash can overflowing. But if u are self contained or at least have a bathroom u are good.

Small flat area by the side of a river. Follow the track past the old poly tunnels Recommended for motorcycle or bicycle. Very quiet and sheltered. Fresh water in the river.

Spot is beautiful. But they still haven’t transformed it into a campsite, doubting they will ever finish. It’s currently a big and loud restaurant. Hence we had to stay on the parking lot with a lot of locals. If they ever finish it could be beautiful, but now it was horrible and uncomfortable. Dirty bathrooms (in the restaurants) and really bad food.
Utter disappointment. The lake itself is beautiful so maybe drive around it to see if you can do some wild camping.

Here you get water from the Mosque. Very easy to reach. Good pressure from big and long hose.
Ask people there before you fill up.
Inside is cold drinking water.

Food truck type of set up selling burgers. Absolutely delicious! Owned and run by locals… very affordable.

Nice public campsite on top of a hill with showers and toilets.

The reserve is not often visited, rather small but very nice. Game incl. Rotschilds Giraffe, Zebras, elephants and lot of birds especially at the river/lake shore.
No credit card facility at the moment but cash or MPESA is accepted.

The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful.

Coordinates are not accurate, we have to continue for approximately half a mile to get to the large spot.

Only 4-5 machines were working properly. Not very clean. Dryers last for 45 minutes. Helpful but rhe place is not very clean

Beautiful place. Many fisherman using the ramp for their boats and shooting range nearby but very quiet at night. Perfect place for a bbq. No facilities.

Really nice lodge and campsite right at the Voi gate to enter the Tsavo East National Park. Clean ablution and lovely grass area to park the car with an amazing view. très belle endroit, vue magnifique sur le lago de Patzcuaro , nous sommes resté 15 jours , endroit idéal pour rayonner dans la région si vous avez une voiture ou autre. Le prix du camping est correct pour 2 semaines , vidange des eaux , électricité ,eau wifi excellent. bâtiment avec douche chaude . juste le kilomètre qui sépare le Rancho de la route qui pourrait être amélioré .

Good spot. Cell reception. No one bothered us. We camped a bit closer to the road, on a road leading right. High clearance recommended

Spent 2 night there. Although the owners are very friendly and weloming, the place is very noisy early in the morning due to the chickens,peacoks and dogs...
The toilets and showers are so filthy that we didn't use them.
It's a pity because the place is located just 10 min from town center

Standard Walmart. Some people hung out in the parking lot until midnight. Probably wouldn’t stay here again but not bad in a pinch.

Don't let Google Maps fool you, this isn't a neighborhood (yet). It is a beautiful, isolated pond full of birds. It is a bit run down and returning to nature but still has a smooth dirt road circling the pond where you'll park. Some far off train noise but the birds wake up in the 4 o'clock hour. They are loud. Full Verizon signal. Great for well-behaved dogs or dogs on leash.
