Arrived at 0930, there was a meeting, so finally submitted application at 1100. Collected at 1500. They asked about port of entry and date of arrival. 50,000 CFA same day. One photo. They also took me to a separate room and took a photo of me.

They looked through my passport and asked about other visas for entry/exit from DRC, so I explained I was travelling by motorcycle and would apply for those visas next whilst in Cotonou. No questions about sponsor or invitation letter, which I left blank on the form.

Great location, host is very welcoming. Bathrooms are a 7/10 on the Mexican scale. Very safe and good for dogs but we can’t afford such luxury for long! $500 Pesos per night for tent camping is kind of California prices. Sweet spot though.

It's a laundry were you can do it yourself or with service.
be carefull, it's closed in the afternoon and open only 16h.

It is a hotel and camping.
Camping is big and you can park just at the edge of the dunes, but there is no shade.
Ablusion is oké, but only 3 toilets and 3 showers. So, when busy you have to line up.
Pool is nice and you have beds and seats around the pool area.
Wifi on campsite does not work at our visit.
Price is Dh50 for 2 people and 4x4.
Overall a very nice and quiet place to stay. We recommend it.

Nice campground with swimming pool, cooking facilities, hot showers (from 8PM-midnight)
You’ll have to pay though (3000); if staying in a tent, for the swimming pool. If you are ok with paying for everything you ask for, this is not a bad place at all. Only a few rules you have to keep in mind. :)

Good selection. Enough parking for larger rigs.

Some of these are blocked with large rocks. Some are open. Most are RIGHT on the highway. Neither quiet bore out of sight. But if you need to stop driving, they would do.

El REFUGIO, CENTRO RECREACIONAL Y TURISTICO. Probably closed Wednesday and Thursday. Includes a swimming pool.

I find it a bit overrated. The price is now 300 pp plus 200 car.
Pros:

good wifi
quiet
Cons:
rubbish lying around
pools are not clean
they mow the place only from time to time and leave the hay rotting on the sites.

Off-season other thermas closer to the main road might be a better option

Great locals restaurant that has been in town since the 1960s. WiFi and great food at reasonable prices. we went for lunch and it was packed!

In this resort I was able to pitch the tent for free (!), restaurant available and food more pricy but wonderful location. Shower and toilets. They also rent bungalows.

We are authorized KIA, NISSAN, MAZDA, RAM, JEEP, CHRYSLER and DODGE. we are motorcycle travelers too. we are here to help in anything.

It’s a very nice spot to stay. Nobody bothered us. Respect those Overlander who find this spot :-)

You can wildcamp on the beach but be prepared for wind, lots of it.

THE spot in El Chalten for climbers or mountain lovers with small budget, looking for beta on trad climbing/sport climbing/trekkingz Very wind protected, though small camping area in the “garden” which is mostly flat. 1 hot shower/toilet inside and fully equipped kitchen for campers to share with the people staying in the hostel. Dorms with private bathrooms if the weather is bad.
Loved it for its laid back and welcoming vibe and the relentless sources of information on just anything related to the mountains by Hugo, the boss.
Paid 150 pp/night for the camping. Dorms are 500pp.
If you can’t stand a bunch of old dogs and a laid back attitude when it comes to cleanliness, you might not like this place.
We can only recommend it - for us it made all the difference to our El Chalten experience!

Must stop!!!! Must stop !!!!! Stay here if you can’t just have a beer they are cheap. Beautiful swimming place. Make sure to sign the wall. We had a great night and can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful hacienda. Friendly owners. Be sure to go in the lobby. The location is just off the Pan-Am highway on the way to Cotopaxi NP. You will not hear the traffic. $7.50ppn. Very clean washrooms with hot showers. Wifi is a bit iffy. OK in lobby. We had a little difficulty levelling up in the field in the back but it was worth it for the peace and quiet. Much warmer than the NP. Easy bus ride to Latacunga.

This place is pretty nice, you have the best view of the city and the night is very quiet!

Even a pit toilette and a place to sit to enjoy the view or you meal. All for free, just amazing!
