Very nice and affordable park. Really good change to spot animals like tiger, leopard and sloth bears. We saw a sloth bear and many deer and birds. We paid 2680 for a long morning safari for 2 persons. Worth the money! We also camped on the parking of the ticket office for free.

We found here a cozy place to stay in Puerto Natales. The rooms and the bathroom were really clean and for us the location was just perfect. Fast and stable Wifi connection. Alejandro the owner has a huge knowlege about Torres del Paine and the flora and fauna of the area and is always willing to help. He gave us also good tips where to eat and what to do in the city and surroundings. The included breakfast is good, homemade and way enough! Highly recommended!
We paid 35000 clp. per night for a matrimonial room with shared bathroom. Also other room possibilities available.

The road from Yanaoca district which leads to this bridge is paved but in bad condition (full of pathholes). At the bridge is a guy to collect entry fee 10 sol per person. He is at the westbound of the river. After short discussion we paid 10 sol for two persons.

We drove the dirt road up until the gate of the park. The gate is only open on weekends and holidays, and closed Monday till Friday. End of the road has a rock/gravel area - this is 200m short or the current GPS coordinates. Area suitable for 4 or 5 vehicles, and level with a little puzzling. Wouldn't recommend for tents. Grassy area across the fence has a "no acampar" sign. Dirt road also okay for 2wd.

Near the meeting of the Red Canyon and Bradshaw trails this drivable slot canyon branches into the near hill side. There is plenty of camping options throughout the area. Does require a fair amount of off roading. Red Canyon good for smaller 4x4 (must be comfortable with vehicle, have low center of gravity), Bradshaw any 4x4 (or possibly aired down high clearance vehicle).

Such a gem! The staff here are super friendly. The cenote is a dream. Especially on a hot day. The restaurant was fantastic. I highly recommend the poc-chuc. WiFi was average and consistent. Recommend.

Hassan is a very nice guy and a great guide. Although one of us had a knee problem, he managed to support us well and showing us the amazing nature of the area around Doucki in a 4hr morning hike. If you are willing to pay €45pp for this experience in itself (as we where) you are ok. If not, don’t go... the road to Doucki is terrible (not difficult, but a lot of rocky surface; count on a 3hr drive from Pita), the accomodation is very basic (hut with only a bed, outside pit toilet and bucket shower in a dirty building) and the food also very basic, unless you had never white rice with onion sauce before and for lunch only peanut sauce with cassava. And Hassan expects you to use your own cutlery....

Still 48,000, I had a guy working in the visa office, no cranky lady in sight. Nice guy speaks English. All I needed were:
-two forms filled out
-two copies of passport
-2 photos
-hotel booking.
Applied Thursday morning, picked up Friday 2:00p.m.
Easy.

It’s really just a small turn around at the end of a little dirt road. No signs. You could possibly get away with a tent for a night but it won’t be super hidden. Big rigs wouldn’t be able to turn around, but if your pulling a small trailer, you might be able to make it work if nobody else is there.
It was a very quiet night, I even heard a couple barred owls singing to each other.
Very close to the water, not sure if you could maybe make a fire on the beach?

Great little spot right off the road, but very quiet at night. Only a handful of rigs will fit in here, so possibly plan for a back-up just in case. You can walk right down to the water and it’s lovely. Could probably pitch a tent.

Stayed here several times now. Peggy always welcoming. She turned 90 this past Monday! Still ZAR200 for 2ppn. Good MTN signal. Place very well kept up. Easy access to Kruger NP via Phabeni Gate only a few kilo away. We’ll definitely be back when in the area.

agree with other comments. I thought I explained no no dinner and waved my hands no - but with my absolute lack of French the cook still prepared dinner and 2 hours later a knock at door - dinner is ready - we had long finished our own meal. Owner seemed upset ay cook not me.

at check out he tried to short change me a couple hundred. so count it out.

Toilet and showers were ok. They specifically cleaned the ablutions extra because of us. Internet however, was a problem. Continuously on and off because of which normal use was hardly possibly. During the evening and night this improved significantly. Still not good enough for voip calling.

This is a gem of western Tanzania. The owner Oscar is a lovely guy and can tell you a lot about the area and the lake. The campsite is right on the beach next to the lake with incredible sunsets. Ablutions are basic but very clean. They light a fire for you every evening. As we arrived, Oscar was very keen to show us a more secluded spot (as there is a walking path to the village that leads along the beach through the property) which meant that we drove into the deep sand and got stuck. Staying closer to the entry to the beach is easier. Everyone who walked past was very friendly, just greeting us as they walked past so we found being closer to the path no problem at all. Give this place a try! It’s a beautiful place and Oscar a very nice guy.

A couple of English spraking Brazilians live up the hill and have agro-forest. They produce their own acai, bananas, cacao, guarana, sprouts ... You name it. They also have rooms, or you can just stop for the acai. It is freshly made for every guest, not using guarana but bananas. Cost: 15r per huge portion. Very much worth driving up the hill. Also, check the view from up there!
When driving on the main road, look for a thorn flag on your left side. Next to the flag there is a kind of hidden road to their place. Road is in good condition (better than the main road).
