Elki | approaching from the south, this spot is before the little forest, which is used as picknick ground. Flat area, very nice view on the lake, very quiet at night. Swimming possibly not advisable |

Wilde Weite Welt | Overnight Parking at a small pullout along the Forest Road 7310 500 yards behind the turn to Baker Hot Spring which was the parking for Rainbow Falls Viewpoint. Unfortunately the viewpoint of the falls now is totally overgrown by trees. You can also stay overnight at the trailhead to Baker Hot Springs but there were 3 more campers and it was a bit busy during the summer weekend. FR 7310 is very bumpy. |

two-on-tour-by-takla | If you want to experience real Brazilian food, then go to this restaurant in the Hotel Maria do Mar on a Saturday during off-season and have the Feijoada buffet. It's a combination of pork, rice and black beans plus many other typical stuff. The absolute highlight is the sobremesa buffet - a lot of different very delicious desserts and sweets.

narottamac | As described by other reviews, free dump site with wash off and potable water fill at each of the four lanes after dumping. I’m not going to complain about this wonderful service, just a note. The freshwater will shut off every 40 seconds. For our 35 gallon tank, I simply sat next to the button and pressed it every time the hose went limp. I lost count on how many times I pressed the button. But again, free potable water, no complaints. Thanks to the Recreational Vehicle Owners of Washington and Washington State DOT for this wonderful setup. 🙏 The rest area portion is well maintained and clean. |

moquiccat | Mostly flat and level camp spots with fire rings set within a Mountain Mahogany forest. Pit toilet at campground. Elevation 8300’. Great for beating the summer heat. Toiyabe Crest Trail access. No cell service. Slow & bumpy 7.6 mile road. In dry conditions our 2wd Sprinter did just fine. |

Tommes | Open field covered by a hedge and a hill. The road next to it is very quiet. Sometimes a car passes but they can’t see you. The entrance to the field is a bit further up the sideroad (Maesthof) near a house with dogs. They might bark but just enter the field quickly and no one will notice your stay. After 50 meters the hill will go down and you will have a covered camp site with a nice view. |

Polarstep to follow us | Anglais / français en dessous It's beautiful at sunset! We were not the only ones camping in the wild that night, but there was room for everyone. When you walk a little further away, you have the impression that you are in the middle of nature (especially in the morning in the mist) C'est magnifique au coucher de soleil ! Nous n'étions pas les seules à faire du camping sauvage ce soir là, mais il y avait de place pour tout le monde. En s'éloignant un peu, on a l'impression de se retrouver en plein nature (surtout le matin sous la brume) |

mathew.d.joiner | After exploring the area and other waterholes, we thought this was the best option! Located at the end of a minor dirt track. Big opening and beautiful setting with bush and big trees for shade. Lots of options around the waterhole to set up camp. Hidden and no people came by. So many elephants came to the waterhole in the late afternoon and evening. Even tiny babies. We were so close to them!! A great experience. Only disadvantage with camping around here is the noise from the A33 road and air traffic. But it’s still worth it because of all the elephants. Lots of firewood around :) |

hinksmancody | Stayed here while in Seattle for the Blue Jays game. Arrived around 4pm with plenty of parking (reverse angle parking) It’s very populated, i didn’t feel like my vehicle was is any kind of danger. The only thing i will mention is that all the parking fills up around 10pm on weekends due to close proximity to some clubs. There’s a few fun bars in the area, i recommend the unicorn, it’s got a carnival theme and it’s super fun. |

cmrhinehart | Very nice place in the middle of the Guatemalan mountains, food is ok, they have very nice huts to stay in and lots of space for camping. It can get very chilly at night so don’t forget to bring your sweater, and if your traveling by motorcycle there is safe parking close to the camping area. Safe travels 👍🏻🏍💨 |

Loud and Slow | Hot showers (a bit grim, but decent temperature), powered sites with water for $20/night. $15 for unpowered , $30 for pull through with sewerage. Fire pits, picnic tables, firewood for sale. Tent sites shady, powered (non pull through) sites in full sun Next to highway so there are road noises. Fast phone reception (bell) but no wifi CASH ONLY |

geensmelissa | It’s a state park and there’s NO CAMPING signs posted everywhere but we spent the night by the toilets in the back and didn’t get bothered. Another van stayed overnight in the parking lot. The place is absolutely gorgeous and it looks like people come here to walk their dog. LOTS of big mosquitoes (at least at the end of the day). They don’t seem to hang by the beach but they’re everywhere in the parking lot. |

kiwisinafrica.wordpress.com | Have waited 2 hours for a ferry to the island on a Saturday afternoon. The “queuing” system is typical of this country, if you have enough cash the police man and ferry workers let you on before anyone else. After a lack lustre visit to the island we decided to leave on the Sunday and have been waiting for 8 hours... again being screwed by people paying bribes. |
