Ok, it has a great view. But that’s what every mountain top has here. The rooms are poor and 20000 Frank, excluding breakfast, for the ‘best one’. Service in the restaurant takes ages. Luckily they have the waiting time per dish on their menu and that is quit reliable. 50mins for a pizza, 20mins for a cup of tea.

Ficamos parados na rua, lugar seguro, perto da rua principal o que facilita para ir no supermercado etc... Acesso para a praia a 50 metros.
Estivemos o apoio do complexo Interditado, com energia, banheiro e água. Nota 10 :)

Mr. Sachin will arrange tires of European brands and sizes for motorcycles and cars. Prices are correct. His office and workshop are in Delhi but he can send (small fee) tires everywhere in India, just make a deposit for the payment in a Axis bank. If tires are available he can send them within 2-4 days, if not allow him 10-12 days for import and shipping. I bought from him one front (Rs 7'300) and two rear (Rs 11'300 each) Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires for our motorbikes. Sent to Goa by land for Rs. 850.

Hidden quite road with turning possibly at the end by the Bandama River between banana plants and someone's tomato garden. We sleep here on our way to Man.

Great service and prices on most makes of tyres

Small Hotel with clean rooms, no shower or toilet in the room, bike/motorcycle can be parked in the small restaurant/bar in front. Payed 120birr for the room, for the two bikes additional 120birr.

Completely hidden from the road where we had our own private beach. Bars and restaurants along the street.

About 3km to west there is a village by the lagoon with friendly, welcoming locals. Definitely worth a visit.

80 km before Manankoro and 80 km after the border it is and extremely difficult piste with enormous wholes and steep sections. For our bus it meant walking speed, 4x4 drive probably 30 km/h

Beautiful campsite with some lazy camping tent and a few self contained tents. Just near the entry of lake mburo national park. 10 usd ppers 5 usd kids for camping in own tents. Restaurant is very good.

nice place with a lot a good spaces, the police pass and says we can stay but not on the beach, only in the official park spaces. you can refill your water tank in the bathrooms, and the toilet or very clean and free, not a commonly thing in chile

Well built log house in Labanoras forest with the closed yard. Nearby fantastic clean lake Aisetas 16 km long. Drinkable water, WC, shower, fully equiped kitchen, bedroom with two double beds, internet inside the house. Free dry wood, grill place, warehouse in the yard. Suitable for up to four persons. Pets are allowed. The host is the producer of craft beer with the secondary fermentation in a bottle. Main atractions: berries, mushrooms, hiking, swimming, fishing, skiing, craft beer tasting.

Small hotel with rooms for 5000 CFA/night. Run by family of friendly guy called Bassman. There's space for 2-3 small motorcycles (without panniers) in walkway into hotel. Larger motorcycles might be tricky. Shower (cold) only seemed to work in the afternoon, and they're happy to provide buckets of water. Close to places to eat and bars.

You will not necessarily avoid Mr. Glasses by coming to this border. We are pretty sure we had him on the second attempt to cross after we were refused entry due to one of our visas only commencing 3 days later. Embassy indicated it would be fine but not so.

Take note: have your paperwork 100% in order. They will check every detail. Your hotel booking needs to be for the exact day you enter and the hotel will be contacted to confirm. I even had to use my own phone.

You will be expected to provide a full itinerary for your time in Gabon, and a list of countries prior and after, including showing visas for all countries visited. No joke.

They will want a lot of details so allow time to go through it all, at least 1 hour if not more.

If you return to Cameroon because of being denied entry you will find this easy so don’t freak out and camp at the border, just go back. But make sure you get a fresh exit stamp on the way out! We had to go back again and update the stamp. Checkpoints found it hilarious.

Don’t leave anything to chance as cell reception is not good here and I was lucky enough to get one call for the hotel. You won’t be able to make or change bookings here on the spot, or print anything. Print out your e-Visas too.

It seems the strictness comes from the boss in Bitam so arguing here achieves nothing. They have no power and seem very afraid of their boss. There is no corruption here for Westeners at least, it’s just a crazy level of diligence.

Here you will find the usual veggies and fruits available in the area. You can also find spices, oils, salt and some canned goods.

Rugged Glen Campsite is a campsite from KZN. We stayed here during high season and while the Mahai Campsite was really crowded, we were the only campers with one other family. Really nice and quite place, good abolutions and power point at site.

Still there, still nice. Big area, nice beach, a lot of animals. Winter camping possible with car 50 TL (2 pers) + 20 TL for electricity. They only allow 2 small cars/vans at the same time.

There's 2 spots that you can camp here. When you first pull onto the property you'll see a massive gravel area to your left and a much smaller area to your right. If you prefer to park on pavement, proceed onward to the casino and there's quite a bit of paved area although this area was packed with RV's. There's a movie theater, casino, and boat launch (fee) here. Walk to Walmart or Safeway, or fast food. There's also a small campground (fee) next to the casino.

Next to the road (no trafic). Of you want to take another rout to Ruaha NP other than via Iringa. Long but nice small road. 4x4 better to have.

When driving from Aus on the B4, go past the turning for this road (signposted to Fish River Canyon). 12km onwards there is another turning on the right. That is the new C12 road and avoids this terrible old road (which is actually still marked as the C12 on many maps).
The new C12 will still take you to the Canyon (past the Naute Distillery), but on a much better road!

Camping em lugar agradável, todo gramado, com algumas choupanas com pia, mesa e churrasqueira! Banhos quentes e banheiros. R$ 18,00 por pessoa mais R$ 1,50 o banho.

Need an alternative to the unsafe rip off Freetown beaches? This is it, run by Ghazali and Lorraine out by Freetown airport NOT TO BE MISTAKEN WITH AIRPORT LODGE HOTEL (That place was awful)
This place is great for us overlanders, safe secure parking, within very easy reach of the ferry that takes you to Freetown for those of you that need to go and do your Nigeria visa etc
I wish i had found this place before i went to the beaches, Ghazali and Lorraine are super helpful and can help with just about anything.
In the Lodge the rooms are clean, tidy and come with a fan and A/C, my partner wanted to take the bed with us.
They also have a bar and pooltable and Lorraine makes a great dinner, breakfast is included in the lodge and is brought to your room if you like.
I cant speak highly enough of this place, dont be put off with it been across the water, its easier to get into town than been on the other side and cheaper too, there are beaches close by with great views and of course its close to the airport.
