Nice grassy campsites by river. Clean bathrooms, nice common room. 15000CLP for two.

From route 40 it's 3.2 km drive on unpaved road. Beautiful view when it's not raining and foggy but you have to walk a very short distance to the view. It's not visible from the parking area. We did not see any signs that it was day use only. There were signs that seemed to relate to the end of that road about 12 km down to a lake.

this road takes you to an empty river. only sand. dangerous if you dont have 4x4. better take the other road. gps make syou go this way...

Sweet little resto-bar. Has ceviche fresh as the minute it was caught. Varieties from typical, to Asian and Peruvian. Also, a nice mix of pizzas, salads and desserts.

Service was top notch!
The restaurants on both sides were empty on a Thursday, this place was packed full of people :)
Atmosphere is relaxed with chill music and a mix of people.

State park at Flint Creek Reservoir. $15 plus tax to stay at the primitive sites. $28 for the paved sites with electricity. Hot showers and water toilets. Beautiful lake.

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up. This Walmart does not allow overnight parking. Signs say overnight vehicles will be towed.

Previous descriptions are spot on. Looks like a good place to sleep. The security guard said near Applebees was the best spot.

There is a large grassy area on the lake where camping is allowed. A lot of spots with bench and table are available and some of them in shades of trees. We stayed for 1 night and had a wonderful sunset! Very nice and recommendable place!! The flamingos are on other places and not here in the swimming area of the laguna. Water can be picked up at the baños near the entrance.

This is recommended by a popular travel book. Unfortunately, hardly any locals anymore....only us tourists. Burritos were large, but really had very little carne. While tasty, we’ve had better and really can’t recommend going out of the way to eat here.

Nice place for a stop and a visit to the chacahua lagoons. Let us camp no service if we ate. Beautiful beach, hammock and music. Mexicans come to spend the day with family. Restaurant of fish and shrimps, medium. Go to the village of El Zapotalito to take a boat to visit the lagoon and Chacahua, 1000 pesos for two by private boat including visit, explanations, visit a crocodile center, stop in Chacahua for dinner and swim in the crystal clear blue water at the entrance to the sea in the lagoon. We liked our guide Valentin.

Les mexicains viennent y passer la journée en famille. Resto de poissons et crevettes, moyen. Rendez vous au village de El Zapotalito pour prendre un bateau pour la visite de la lagune et Chacahua, 1000 pesos pour deux en bateau privé incluant visite, explications, visite d'un centre de crocodiles, arrêt à Chacahua pour dîner et nager dans l'eau cristalline et bleue à l'entrėe de la mer dans la lagune. On a bien aimé notre guide Valentin.

Decent and cheap for after a rainy day. 28000 for a triple with private bathroom. We could dry our wet stuff by the woodstove. It also has basic diner and breakfast (2000). And secure parking!

Ice cream. You eat it. It's delicious. 10 different kinds of dulce de leche flavors. Nothing more needs to be said.

This place is amazing!!! Very nice owners very quiet and clean with fast wifi and kitchen. Laundry is possible for 6 soles. 40 soles for matrimonial room.I strongly recommend ...

We came here so we could get good wifi and get laundry done. It is hard to find but as you look for the right lane to turn onto, you will see a small sign that says camping. we updated the way I t with the correct points. Go right to the end. The actual vehicle entrance is to the right of the main small gate but you have to check I anyway so they'll direct you.Worked out well. Can only do laundry if no one is showering..... Wifi was excellent and reached sites. They have two networks and good bandwidth. We found that place was clean and bathrooms were cleaned everyday; saw no dog poop anywhere and the common room is nice and toasty. When we checked we were told 4000pp but upon checking out we were asked for 5000pp but he relented.

An excellent place all round- very well looked after campsite and bathrooms very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food.

Lovely pools of various temps. Great for kids. Parked next to rushing river. Few bugs. Fleas on wandering dogs. Cabins for rent. $5.00 to park overnight. $3.00 for hot tubs. $3.50 for breakfast. Filled water tank from tap at restaurant. Bathrooms in restaurant open all night. Great spot to relax. Road here is fully paved, twisty and steep. But passable and beautiful.

Relaxed and youthful (university nearby) bar to drink local artisanal beer. The place has a heavy metal feel to it, but it’s actually filled with friendly bartenders listening to David Bowie while wearing Metallica tshirts.
50cl beer + bottle of red wine + 2 completos = 9.000clp (might have been a happy hour promotion at 9:50pm?)
Happy hour until 10pm

Bonus: super fast wifi! Ask the password at the counter and download the David Bowie Spotify albums you want in a couple of minutes!

Bonus #2: we slept on the small street across the bar.

super tasty, paid 8.100 for two plates meet with salad, four beers and two espresso. It’s NOT expensive. The guy before have had a really bad exchange rate.

Nice and quiet place, near the water, under trees. we didn't swim because the water was muddy. not a real beach, but very beautifull.

for coming we take the dirt road from Corozal with two free crank ferry, very nice! (but many holes )

very nice place in the jungle! many birds and we saw howler monkey and tucan just before the river! you can swim in the river ! beautifull spot near the river to camp.

the place to get here is ok , a little muddy but ok with a 4wheel drive . (if not you can stop 150m before and camp and go by foot to the river.

Lovely small and quiet town, lots of retired gringos doing pickleball and yoga. Campground on beach, big rigs, lots of Canadians from west and east. Clean, hot showers, nice common area. Great walking beach, clean and beautiful.
