Got the last spot for dry camping.
Wifi was very good and the walk to the beach was short.
Lots of others there and you are parked very close to the others... our unit provided shade for the people beside.
We did not use the laundry. Washrooms probably the cleanest we have seen. Showers were great!

Check the website before you go because the season is very short and the park can close without prior notice due to weather. The road is generally well maintained and drivable in any vehicle with enough power for the high altitude. It can be busy during the day but few people stay overnight so it is quiet. If you overnight be prepared for cold temps (down to freezing is common). It is an iconic landmark of the province of Mendoza that overlanders should definitely visit when in the area in the summer. Cost is 230 pesos/pers. No charge for the vehicle, camping is free, and you can stay a few days.

Really nice food and helpful owner, he hosted us at his house for the night. Good place to stop before or after border.

Agree with everything on the other comments but hot showers are only available in the morning. i mean, you should not advertise it in road signs if you get there and there is no hot water. barbecue pits on front of shelter were full of dump. payed 5000 clp, what is the regular price of campings around.

Got one fake 500000 bill from this place. Very difficult to see, it has the watermark but the 10 little blue lines at the edge don't have reliëf (can't feel them). They have no blacklight mark and most Iranians are pretty good at recognizing them.

we wanted to stay here, but she wanted 10.000 pp without breakfast and was not very friendly nor let negotiate. so we went on to camping.

omg, heaven. absolutely loved it here. they were full for the nude festival but let us park away from the normal spots. we got in fine with our 32 foot travel trailer. the staff is super friendly. there is a back door that leads out to the strip with all the restaurants and the beach is behind that. we stayed 3 weeks and wish we could have stayed forever.

we went in this place to repare our fridge. They are really professional and they know everything about camper truck. They made us à really good job. They are also superfriendly we realy recommend this place for any problem you have whith camper truck. 😊

Backpackers hostel and guided bicycle tours company.

Nice peaceful spot to unwind for the evening. Quiet, lots of space between sites, no traffic and it sets back off the road. No cell service, but wonder stars.

We arrived at 2 a.m., for first sight a bit creepy neighborhood, the gas station was closed... but after few minutes we found there are functional and very clean toilets, opened all night. Also there was a security guard, very helpful guy. Truck drivers and few small cars staying over night. In the morning we took a shower for 5 BRL. We slept in our VW kombi, very silent in the night.

After border crossing from Brazil, night driving, police controls, we drived here and we were kindly welcomed by Carlos and his wife. We park our motorhome at their garden. Nice place out of the city. Showers, toilets, terrace with river view. Wifi and electricity. There is a bus going from camp to the city centre, 25 pesos/person. As we did not have pesos, because all exchange offices were closed in the evening and cash back at gas station doesnt work for our credit cards, Carlos gave us 100 pesos for a bus ride to the center. For camp we paid 600 pesos per night for 2 people and motorhome. For 3 nights it was a bit cheaper per night. They have 3 big dogs, they are friendly.

Eliseu is a nice gentleman who we sent our documents by Whatsapp and he prepared for us the Green card (obligatory insurance in Argentina, cannot cross boarder without it). We paid cash in his office (but also you can transfer the money to his bank account), he wait for us till 5 p.m. We bought the insurance for 2 months for 340 BRL for the Mercosur countries, but he offers also insurance for couple days. He has his office at his house it is called Christo Corretora de Seguros (google it), he is an agent of Porto Seguro. We knew that we are late and we arrive at boarders around 9 p.m. so we wanted to buy a good insurance in advance, the boarder insurance offices close earlier.

Perfect place to stay for a little break. Very very quiet! Staff is very welcoming, beautiful beach and a lot of restaurants with good food around.

Really quiet place even if it doesn't looks incredible at the first sight. Humberto was really friendly and let a room open for the bathroom. Really nice tour in tuktuk with him. Free cocos from the trees😋 Be sure to take food with you, there's only 2 restaurants open until 6-7pm and small abarrotes like oxxo.

As written before huge campsite with all the amenities you can ask for! We stayed there during the off-season and had the place almost to ourselves and we stayed 4 days because it was so chilled! We met interesting co-travellers and we had a lot of fun together. Private ablutions, super clean, hot showers and good pressure. 600MZN ppn, boat trip to St. Catharina island including lunch was 3500MZN pp and can be organised by the reception. Cute and friendly dogs around the beach as well.

The soldiers were almost in our car, so we fended them off with an unripe watermelon! They were not really threatening but pushy! Please don’t give money!

Real nice campground in walking distance to Cahuita and the National Park. Maria, the owner, is very friendly. She had a baby sloth in care and a lot of animals are around.

If you have the opportunity... Dont go here ! If you have a small problem he will fixed it really quickly. But if you need to pull out the motor (for exaemple) it'll be another story. José starts working around 3pm and he's really slow (if one local come here, he will stop the job to help the local before)... He's garage is a big mess and he lost lot of small stuff from the motor. But he's a really good person and knows lot about kombis and other mechanics. He asked a price really fair. In one sentence : dont go here if you have a big problem, for a small stuff he's the guy

Just make sure you both agree with a price and make him write and sign it, or pay right now. He changed his mind twice with me and once with my friend a week after. 100 pesos for dumping, but when it's done 15 min later it's 350 pesos finally !!! 200 pesos a night (dry camping low season), after the third night you give him 600 pesos and he said "no ! it's 300/night you misunderstood ! " pffffff !

Beautiful place, one of the most beautiful surrounding we have ever been to. Dorms quite spacious, swimming pool and terrace with the view. Well equipped kitchen. Recommended!

Huge parking lot of Petrobras gas station. You can park anywhere, bathrooms are open and great. Wifi Spacio1 works amazingly well A lot of movement at night with cars coming and going so might be an issue if you're a light sleeper, but other that works great.

Rooms for a variety of prices, 6000 to 20000 CFA. Kind staff. Quirky place, lots of decorations. Cool spot with nice views on the top floor, of the surrounding forest.

National forest campground. 6 sites, food hanging poles , fire rings and picnic tables. Short walk down to river.

Nice camping at Nine Palms Beach along East Cape Road, which sandy and bumpy, but fine for all kind of RV if you drive slow. 2 WD is ok to go the parking area directly at the ocean. The beach itself has very soft sand and you will need 4 WD if you want to drive there. At low tide there are two nice Sea Arches just south of the parking lot.

Beautiful free camping area next to a river. So quiet and peaceful which was wonderful after the noisy municipal sites. Didn’t fancy cycling in with 3 days of water so I drunk the river water either through a life straw or treated with tablets with no ill effects. The hike to cerro guanaco was my favourite. It goes right to the summit with great views and only took 4hrs both ways walking slowly, the sign saying 4hrs one way must be a mistake.
