very quite spot with grass, wind protection and fire pits. we put our tent under an apple tree full of apples!

Nice beach, a little too much rubbish. We were all alone on a Tuesday. The 2.5 km access road not better than DOABLE with our VW Kombi. Last 200 m down to the beach are the worst as of April 2019. Looks like the conditions depend very much on the rainfall.

we stayed one night, it's nice to swim here.
the beach is beautiful and there is some shade for cars. just go left before the bars, there is a large space for cars.

in the darkness there are thousands of hermitcrabs everywhere!! it's a must see, very funny to look at them!:)

Sooo beautiful view!!! Indeed it was a cold night but we were lucky with the weather. The cairlift still costs 16000.- pp but it’s absolutely worth it. The guardsparque came by for a little smalltalk and officially allowed us to stay in the night.

after one and a half years on the road in South America this is the worst hostel I have stated, it is incredibly noisy, dirty, full of cockroaches and the staff are unhelpful. it is also extremely expensive for what you get, a private room with no toilet is 180 b, avoid like the plague

Underneath trees and right on the beach! There’s also a fire pit. Very quiet, beautiful and almost deserted beach. Friendly vibes from this small town. Look for a pull-out from main road and you’ll see the spot right away.

Best rate I could find near city centre. 7.37Kn=1€ compared to 7.1Kn=1€ at the yellow exchange both chains around the tourist centre.

Good restaurant/cafe next to the bus station. All homemade real food , and convenient. Just across the road on a corner near the bus station

Very good service, we have been robbed, locks damaged. For an exchange of one and repair of the other one we paid 1500 pesos. Other shops offer us the same for 3800 pesos.

All paths that lead into the woods are blocked now by beams but about 500m north of these coordinates is a nice P for an overnight stay that, when I arrived just before dark, was only used by some local lovers in their car...

It’s possible to just take a shower in this hostal (next to the banco union on the Plaza Sucre). It’s coast 8 Bob/shower. We are not sure it’s usual so it’s could be change. Not really hot but ok

Excellent service to travel in Ecuador, the tours were affordable and extremely interesting, we paid $5 dollars for camping including the pool, drinkable water and a bathroom. We were extremely satisfied the location. Great getaway for my family. The chocolate tour is recommended. Working Wi-Fi on the parking area.

Very clean supermarket. Great selection of fruit and organic food. A bit more on the expensive side.

Road was open today. Seemingly shuts for bad weather, no significant road work being done. Road is gravel and you can definitely slide if not careful. Penguins still changing feathers. Drive to penguin sendero start about 30 minutes, walk for us was 25 minutes. You must leave the park no later than 6/6:30pm, leave the penguins at 5pm. Great stop!

Great place to get an oil change. The guy who owns it is super helpful and it’s close to a campground.

Refreshing dip after a long drive! Was a little dark, but still clean. Several others were there. Free! Could drive down closer to park with 4x4.

This is a Mercedes workshop for sprinters and trucks. If you need something done on your sprinter come here and look for Lauro Paulino (the guy in the picture), he is an awesome mechanic and a great guy. I had a problem in my sprinter and for two months no mechanic in Brazil could find the problem and Lauro did a drive with me for 10 minutes and found and fixed the problem. The staff here is really nice and very professional. Highly recommended!
